Beautiful boot. A little shorter in shaft and wider at the ankle than I'd expected. It fit tightly through the bridge, but the toe was too long in my normal size (8.5), so I'm returning for a half size down.

Very cute boots but the top front hits the ankle at a bad place. The leather is very stiff & painful with just trying them on. Had to send them back as I knew if I kept them I’d look at them and never wear them as they’d be too uncomfortable to wear for a few minutes let alone all day.

Very cute boots and good quality. The only draw back is that this is a stiff leather and I am still breaking them in after wearing three times (I work on my feet 8 hours standing on concrete floors). Nonetheless, they were comfortable. Born is always my "go-to" for boots.

Great boot, but needed something I could also walk along way in, these seemed more dressy and not upto a 5 mile hike.

These are beautiful. They are obviously high-quality materials and craftsmanship. I usually wear a 7.5, and that's what I got. They feel narrow around the balls of my feet, but I am going to keep them and hope for the best. I've had ankle boots before that started out that way and became very comfortable. I wouldn't want them to have any more length than they do on my foot. The sole feels like it has a nice amount of support/ cushion. It actually has more than I would like, but I'm unusual in that regard. I like thin-soled shoes and it's hard to find boots that have the combination of style and sole that I'd like. The leather is somewhat stiff, as others have noted, and I noticed it for a few minutes, but I think that won't be an issue; it's a reflection of substantial leather that will last a long time, I hope. I was hoping that the buckles would function to actually tighten the ankles, but they don't. You can tighten them by one more hole, but all it does is stretch the elastic on the back of the buckle; it doesn't adjust the ankle opening.

The toe box seemed narrower than two other pairs of very similar Born boots I have (and love). Also, the heel slipped up oddly, considering the front of the boot felt tight. Also, the leather seemed cheaper than that of other Born boots. Sent these back.

Great looking boot, toe box was comfortable, but unfortunately very uncomfortable for me in the shin so I had to return. Too bad because I really liked the appearance.

Got the Adler black leather bootie and love love love ?? them. I am a woman with large and wide feet. I usually wear a 10 but often need to go to a size 11 for a wide width. These boots in an 11 are plenty large and wide and I can wear a heavier sock! Woo woo! I wore them on an all day shopping trip and only toward the end of the afternoon did my feet get tired. Although these fit nicely and I love the style, the color was more pinkish burgundy and not what I had anticipated (less one star). These are going back.

I bought these in black, and the style is great with a pair of jeans. They are quite comfortable and the heel isn't high, which is nice if you're on your feet a lot like I am. The soles don't slip and are quiet to walk in on hard floors. Born shoes in general are of good quality, and these are no exception - they seem very well made. The heel was a little narrow and rubbed my foot the first time I wore them, but after one day of breaking in they are very comfortable. I ordered my usual size (9) and they fit well, with a little room for a thicker sock if you like. Theses are definitely going into heavy rotation this winter.

Oh! I wanted to like these! I really did. . . the soles are great and the look is pretty awesome. But the fit was just 'off'(I ordered my usual size and ordering a different size would not have corrected the 'offedness', I don't think) I didn't like the feel of the leather and overall the look just wasn't 'it'.

These boots were very comfortable , but I didn't like the height, a little short, and I didn't like the gap around the ankle, so I'm exchanging for another style.

Beautiful boot. Great color & shine. Feels too tight across my bunions and even rubs my ankles. Why can't the cutest shoes fit my feet???

This boot is very nice looking but very stiff-especially where the front hits the ankle. I wanted to keep them since they were otherwise perfect. I just know I’ll probably wear them once & be in such pain I won’t put them on again so they have to go back unfortunately.

NOTE: This is a review of the "Prugna" distressed material. the good: these boots are CUTE and fit really well if you have wide feet like me. the bad: the first time I wore them for a day, i noticed "something" in the arch on the right side that bugged my foot. I was going to exchange them, but bad thing #2: after wearing them only ONE DAY, the top already had deep wrinkles/ridges. I suspect it's because of the cheap material underneath the little bit of suede-ish leather on it (it's not full grain leather). I'm sad because the color is lovely (eggplant) and the fit is so good, but back they go.

I was expecting a really sleek looking boot but the part around my ankle was oddly huge and the boots looked rather Frankenstein-ish on me. They were not terribly comfortable either. Born is typically my go to brand, as I love the styles and they usually fit me perfectly. Not the case this time. Thankful for Zappos' friendly return policy.

I love the look of this boot but for me my usual 7M was very snug and not very comfortable. I opted not to get them.

I've been wanting some cute ankle boots and Born usually works well for me. The buckles look great but they make the book stiff right where your ankle bends. I found these to be stiff and uncomfortable. So they go back and I keep looking.
