I ordered two pairs of Ryka, both in size 9.5. This Ryka Influence 2.5--my toes hit the top of the shoe. The other Ryka 9.5 was too big. Hmmm. Never tried Ryka before, probably won't again. Though I liked the look of both.

The first time I wore these was to my Krav Maga class. There is a fold of material on the inside of the left shoe at the toe and it made me miserable. I thought at first it was a seam, but upon further investigation it is poor quality craftmanship that has caused the issue. I am too lazy to return these and will probably just use them as yard shoes. I would not recommend for workouts at all. They are lightweight and fit true to size, but the flaw makes them useless.

I have worn Rykas forever for Jazzercise 6x a week. I have always purchased a black shoe with white trim because they go with pretty much everything. I can’t find one Ryka currently for sell that is anywhere close to my previous shoes. I’ve tried 5 different styles! Even the size seems off. I’ve always gotten a 9 (8.5 or 8 in other shoes) before and these feel a little big. The insole isn’t as comfortable and the new tongue is terrible! Very thin and like plastic. I’m afraid I’m going to give up on Ryka and find another brand. I’ve heard Brooks and ASICS are good. I’ve also had reasonable luck with New Balance and Saucony in the past for running. Anyone else have similar thoughts and can make a recommendation?

Ugh! I had previously written a review for the size 7s that I bought which proved to be too small. I exchanged for a size 7.5 which fit well (and I'm usually ALWAYS a 7), but...after wearing the shoes for a day, the plastic tongue was just too uncomfortable. I cannot imagine getting on my treadmill wearing these. Additionally, on the inside of the shoe, the stitching kept rubbing on the top of my foot, even through my socks! So uncomfortable. I ended up purchasing a different pair of Rykas with a padded tongue, and am trying them right now around the house. So far, so good. That padding on the feet is completely necessary!

These seem like great shoes, so I was disappointed when they were a bit short and don’t come larger than 11.

The weird thing about this particular shoe is the tongue is thin and has a plastic coating along the top which digs into the top part of my front ankle. I’ve experienced this with other shoes by Ryka. Maybe it’s not a problem if you wear tall, thicker socks. These just aren’t the Ryka from back in the day.

I had to send these back. I wear a 81/2-9 in regular shoes and I ordered a 91/2 in this shoe and it was to short. Just not the brand for me I guess. Too bad, they seemed like they would have been comfortable otherwise.

This actually never arrived. I ordered it twice. The first time they sent a 6.5 by mistake. The second time it never arrived. I ended up getting a 7.5. I’m keeping the 7.5. They are comfortable and light.

I had to return the shoe because the tongue of the shoe was plastic and dug into the top of my foot. I had two previous pairs of Ryka cross training shoes which had very cushion shoe tongues.

These shoes felt great. However, my feet are already wide, and the extra width that came from all of the cords that are on the side made my feet look too big to me. I decided to send them back.

The top fabric is too thin and too lose to provide enough support for your foo, so if its narrow to medium it sloshes around.

Just too small. I’m constantly pushing my foot to the back of the sneaker as my toes hit the front of the shoe. Definitely could have used an 8.5. I do like the look, and decent support.

I really wanted to love these shoes, unfortunately they run a size small and since I normally wear an 11 W, I couldn’t order a size larger. :(

This is the first time a pair of Ryka shoes have failed me. I haven't bought new Zumba shoes in awhile so I was excited to get some new Rykas. However, two pairs in, I'm giving up on this style. I didn't know what to select under "size" above. First, I tried the 5.5 which is my normal size, and the size I purchased last time. My toes were hitting the front of the shoe, so I decided to try a 6. With this pair, no matter how tightly I tied the laces, I still felt like my feet were sliding around. The soles felt thin for some reason. The tongue is strange with some sort of plastic-y material incorporated into it. Anyway, these are going back. So sad.

I wear a 7 in regular shoes and an 8 in sneakers, mostly New Balance sl-2. Ordered an 8 and my toes were pushing up on the mesh. Probably need a shoe with a box toe. Heel and arch support were OK. I have a high arch. Was looking for a lightweight shoe for Zumba.

These run really small!

I am in between a B and C width, and these fit well and were comfortable. I also like the style. However, I don't think I like the support on the sides and I don't think they will last long. I didn't like the plastic or "synthetic" sides with the bungee lacing.

I returned these because they were just a little too roomy in the toe area (I ordered 9 W) and I didn't like the plastic tongue--that was just weird and 'cut' into my foot. I also ordered the Ryka Influence (same size), they felt much better and were a keeper.

Not sure if I’m keeping them. Got em for Zumba (mind you the geriatric class, but still...) as they were widely recommended. They fit fine, half size small, but the tongue is weird, unpadded, plasticy feeling. Not sure I can get over it since it comes up high enough to graze my ankle and feels scrapey
