This is an excellent boot! Classic lines with full waterproofing (That's held up perfectly so far, even through Flagstaff snows!) and really top notch comfort. I walk about 30 minutes to work every day and I've yet to come home with sore feet. This boot is well worth the price of admission. Only two things keep this from being a five star. First, as an all leather boot, it doesn't do so well in the summer, but that's the nature of the beast. Secondly, the lining has torn at the back of the heels, but that may be do the shear mileage I've put into these. They age well and they even dress up to Buisness Casual in the fall and winter months. Get 'em, you won't regret it.

I needed some comfortable and stylish boots for traveling to Seoul in the fall where I know I'll be walking miles a day. I knew my old chukkas wouldn't hack it since I've used them traveling to Tokyo before and remembered my feet hurting after a long day. These boots did the job and then some. Unlike Tokyo, Seoul doesn't have many escalators in many of their subway stations, I had to walk up and down stairs often. Also, the sidewalk pavement was uneven in places and sides streets and pathways had bumps and crevices that could trip someone with an ordinary shoe. The Boggs Johnny 5-eyed boot supported my ankle and kept my feet comfortable the whole trip. You know the feeling when you get back to your hotel room and gladly take off your shoes to put on something more comfortable? Well, I didn't get that feeling, with the Johnny's there was no pain and discomfort, and I walked a lot. My trip was a blast, I almost wished it rained so I could test out the boot's water resistance. I loved the dark coffee color of the boot, matched with most denim and chino pant color I wore. I highly recommend the boot as well as visiting the dynamic city of Seoul!

The description made them sound great, but they looked really cheap in person and didn’t feel very compfy when my husband tried them on so we returned.
