The only problem with these shoes is the length and firmness of the tongue. It is overlong and sticks into the bottom of your leg. In addition the tongue is quite stiff causing pain where the foot meets the leg.

They fit but it felt like my heel was coming out of the shoe when I walked. The materials were unyielding and not comfortable and they didn't do well on our polished concrete floors. This was a new brand for me and I thought from the description and reviews that they would be great but unfortunately not. Returning.

I really wanted to love these shoes because of the color and style and waterproofing but could not-uncomfortable, stiff and the 8 1/2 I normally wear was not cutting it in this shoe. So returning.

Loved them, but had to return because they squeak loudly.

Disappointed. I have worn the Dansko Paisley for several years because of the excellent support of the shoe, which I need. Last year I noticed the support was not the same. I ordered the Paisley again this year and the support is definitely not there. I still have a pair I bought 3 years ago and I was able to compare the shoes. There is still more support in my old Paisley's. The price is going up and the quality is going down. Is Dansko cutting corners on quality? So disappointing. I will not buy the Paisley again.

Too big for me. I wear a size 5.5 but sometimes a 6 will work in sneakers. Not with this brand.

Heal slippage not stylish

THey are too small and I pick the one with blue in it and I got the purple one.

These super cute shoes have no padding causing the heel to rub on my ankle. I'm returning them.

Shoe felt too tight and small.

This is an update to my original review in which I gave the Dansko Paisley 5 stars. Either the tongue or the interior of the shoes near the lacing ends up pressing hard against the top of my feet, creating discomfort that does not go away by simply readjusting. These shoes also appear wide although they are clearly marked Medium. I do have a slightly high instep which may be incompatible with the design. These shoes are still brand new but I can’t even bear to look at them anymore, let alone wear them. Returning for a more compatible shoe.

I have problematic feet--high arches that require me to wear and orthotic, bony heels, and arthritis in my toe joints. When I put this shoe on initially, it felt really good on my foot. I wore it around the house for several months before wearing out just be be sure they were going to work. The first time I wore them outside, I got blisters on the backs of my heels almost immediately. Tried different socks. Same thing. Tried heel cushions. Same thing. There is absolutely NO cushioning in the back of the shoe. If you have a bony heel like me, you're going to get blisters. I'm super disappointed, but super impressed with Zappos, who are working with me so I'm not stuck with this useless expensive shoe. Thanks, Zappos!

These shoes are incredibly comfortable, and I like their low-key all black style compared to other walking shoes. My complaint is that after steady use for only one month they have begun to fall apart. The inside lining on both heels have completely worn away, meaning my feel rub against the hard shell. My expectations at this price point were that they would last longer. Because they have a slight lift (height) and curved edges on the sole, they can be a tripping hazard, so I don't recommend for hiking or lots of walking on uneven surfaces.

I had originally purchased regular width but returned them and ordered wide. I tried wearing them in work and on treadmill (not outside) for a few days but they are VERY heavy! They weigh about 4 pounds! My legs were worn out and I just couldn't walk far in them. In my opinion, NOT a walking shoe.

The padding under the heel was really great, but I also need a great deal of cushion for the ball of my foot, and there wasn't enough there. I also found that even in a wide, the toe box was not roomy enough. The tongue was also an issue - it is stiff and doesn't have enough padding. Hoka One's Clifton 5 are THE MOST COMFORTABLE shoes ever, but they have only one waterproof shoe, which I need a waterproof shoe which I need for times when my Hoka sneaker is not right for the season. This shoe didn't come close to the comfort of the Hoka's

Disappointed in this product. Uncomfortable overall, especially in the arch support. They seemed to fit okay but after going on my walks they strecthed out quickly. The style is fair and a bit dull. I wasn't so concerned about that but it is worth mentioning. Mainly, I was looking for a good quality shoe that was comfortable. Other shoes I have purchased for a lesser price fit much better. Now, I must purchase another pair of shoes after not being able to wear these due to my plantar fasciitis. Usually, I do not have poor shoe reviews but this one is worth posting.

These shoes were great for everyday wearing at work. Lots of support and very comfortable. Sadly the covering on the toe boxes started cracking and flaking off after just a couple of months, which is much too soon for a shoe this expensive, so I returned them.

These shoes remind me of trying on a pair of men's shoes. They were over-all too large in my regular size and the toe box looks very narrow, but was the only part that almost fit. I love the style and will try another pair in a size smaller, hoping the toe area doesn't get too narrow.

This shoe worked great, until the waterproofing stopped working after about four months. I have sprayed the shoes with waterproofing spray-- did not help. When I bought this shoe in fall of 2016, they were so comfortable and kept my feet completely dry in wet weather. Loved the shoe, except that left shoe quickly developed a loud squeak. But, despite annoying squeak, shoe great for everyday use, especially walking the dog-- until waterproofing wore off. I am sick about it, as shoe is expensive-- and there is a metal stud on shoe saying "Waterproof." Dansko-- please research and fix this problem with your future shoes!

This shoe was comfortable out of the box but they are somewhat hard. The major complaint is they squeak like crazy. I've put lots of baby powder in them and it helps for a while but comes back. I called Dansko and they were very unhelpful.

While the fit is good, the sole is too hard and stiff to wear as an athletic shoe. I tried walking my dog at a good clip, and my arch aced during and after exercise. Overall the shoe is 5 stars, but I downgraded to 2 because of the inappropriate category. If you just want an athletic look, that's fine. But I wanted an actual exercise shoe.

I have had my foot measured professionally and it is just a size 8, with a normal width and a normal arch. I have no serious foot issues (only a slight bunion on the right foot). Yet, I have such trouble finding comfortable shoe. I loved these-- lots of cushioning, good looking and weatherproof. I went up to an 8.5 first, since I usually have to in Danskos-- but they were so big I went down to my normal size. The fit is fine. The back is even a bit wide, my feet slpping out a bit. But the front--I did not have pain walking in them, but the position of the toes is slightly cramped. I don't think these are narrow at all, it's just the design. I found them tapering too much for a walking shoe. Again, I felt no pain walking in them now but my concern is what about later? I have no serious foot issues and I don't want them! Not natural or healthy to walk and not have the toes spread a little. These would have been perfect-so sorry to return them. I can't recommend them unless you have wider heels and very narrow toe box.

Very stiff materials, unbending sole, but as usual, these shoes have the wide wide wide Dansko heels. The back of the shoe does NOT stay on the foot. Just because a woman has a long foot does not automatically mean it is a WIDE foot. Again, WIDE heel that does not hug the foot. Slips, blisters a'coming.
