I ordered a size larger because these run small and they worked well. I have difficult feet and these work fairly well for me. They look a lot better than my New Balance and make my feet look a little smaller. I got the gray suede, and I'm so glad they're waterproof. Also very grateful that Zappos pulled out the stops to get these to me before we went out of town.

These Dansko shoes fit very well, nearly perfect - except my right foot went numb while wearing them in the house to break them in. I tried several lacing adjustments and different socks, too. It is sad, because it is difficult to find a waterproof shoe with this nice style and lateral stability. I wear an 11 and ordered these in a 42 for amble room in the toe. I have very high arches so these may have been too tight in the top of the foot for me.

I got these looking for a light weight walking/exercise shoe that could hold up in the winter. These are really more of a boot in athletic shoes clothing! If you want a heavier hiking boot type of feel and you like Danskos, then these might work for you. I got them in a 38, which is my normal Dansko size and they fit fine, but not nearly as comfortable as some of my other Danskos. I sent them back.

The shoe is a little wide in the heel, causing a little slippage.

The jury is still out on these Danskos as I've been wearing them only in the house for almost two weeks. I wear a size 11 and had to go up to a size 42. My assessment so far: my custom orthotics fit well in the shoe, they are very stiff - but my podiatrist told me the Brooks styles I had been wearing for years had too much lateral movement - so I need more support for my severe overpronation and very high arches, so these will be a keeper. My right foot has been falling asleep so I laced them differently, giving my arch area more room. They are wide enough with ample toe room except they are too wide at the heels, so I may add some cushions. I sound like a picky person but I've had plantar fasciitis more times than I can count and will spend $$ to keep them comfy. If I can change my assessment after a week of walking outdoors, I'll upgrade to 5-stars.

Beautiful shoe! I was dissatisfied the width of size 40. If I went to next size up it would have been too long a shoe. This is not for wide width such as D or E width. This is 1st dansko Ive ever rejected. Ive worn Dansko shoes for 20 years!

My trainer uses these shoes and swears by them. I gave them a try as I need something with good support for weight lifting and using the TRX. I had to send them back because I have a narrow heel and I kept sliding out of them. They are very sturdy but not for me.

These just cut into the front of my ankle a bit, so they weren't comfortable for me. I have this problem with shoes sometimes, so these would probably be fine for most people. They did feel really stable.

I wear Danskos to work all week long. My feet love them. I wanted something in between a tennis shoe & dress shoe. These fit fine (I did order a wide for my wide feet) that I dont need in clog..but expected with socks. My feet (foot to be specific) did not like this shoe. I do love Zappos tho!

Felt true to size... Width was good, and i need a shoe with good arch support, and felt that this shoe provided what i need. I have had 4 foot surgeries, and this shoe did not hurt my feet right out of the box... IT's a DANSKO! what more can i add.

I love my Dansko Honor shoes, but after breaking my 3rd metatarsal, I needed a shoe with a less flexible sole. These looked great and fit just like the Honor style, but they felt like they had no padding inside at all. It was uncomfortable to walk in them with my injury. I'd consider buying them again once my bone is 100% healed because they looked and felt nice, but they didn't work for me at this time.

Very nice cushion, so very, very comfortable that way!! It held my foot in place. It is a shoe that seems like it would be best for colder months, doesn’t seem very breathable, but I didn’t try it out for that purpose. Arch support was just meh, in my opinion.

I purchased these shoes for Germany. Wanted a shoe that I could hike in (nothing too strenuous) and use for walking around. We will be in Germany for 11 and didn't want to bring a lot of shoes. I wore them around the house for a little bit -- they felt ok and had a good feeling that I would keep them. So Friday, (about a week after I received them) I wore them out. I walked (in NY City) for about 6 miles -- comfortable but one of my toes on the left felt like it was rubbing. Not sure if it was because my feet where hot or because I put in an extra in-sole (for my plantar fasciitis). Overall I do like this shoe. The fit it true to size; I ordered a wide because I know these shoes run narrow. I haven't worn them without my in-sole yet. I do plan on wearing them in Germany, but will be taking my sneakers with me just in case. There is nothing worse than having foot pain - especially on vacation. I will update my review upon return.

The insoles of these shoes are simply amazing--probably the most comfortable I've ever experienced. Unfortunately, the leather uppers are pretty stiff and rub against the inside of my ankles. Too sad!

I am one of *those* people who has a hard time fitting shoes. For a long while I was a standard size 10, but following a couple of pregnancies, my right foot spread to a size 10.5 while my left foot ended up at 11. In addition, I had bi-lateral knee replacement two years ago so heels are out. As you can imagine this makes it VERY hard to buy durable, stylish and reasonably-priced shoes. I tend to spend a lot of time in sneakers. My last pair was a men's size 8 and I've had those at least a few years. They are so badly worn out not to mention the way I supinate that I've been walking at a tilt lately ;-) After reading the reviews of these shoes, I was excited to try them, and I was super pleased at the fast shipping. Results: As others have said, these are VERY supportive. They are not cushioned in the way you might be used to if you've worn highly padded running shoes, but neither are they uncomfortable. The support really hugs my feet and makes me feel steady. That said, my big toe just hits the end of the shoe on my left foot, even in very thin socks, in a way that will undoubtedly be annoying over the long term. I can't say they are sized incorrectly, but my next pair (probably in blue or black) will probably have to be a 42 instead of the 41 (which is described as US 10.5-11). There definitely WILL be a next pair, because in addition to the above they are cute and do give the illusion of being a smaller size. As for the waterproofing, it was raining out today and I didn't have an issues with my commute, but I haven't really tested them in bad conditions yet. Nor have I had any issues with the laces coming undone. Overall, pleased. One point off since I wish they were just a hair longer.

Dansko shoes are always too big for me. I loved the style and color of these, and have been trying to find a waterproof, rugged walking shoe, so thought I'd try Dansko again. No luck; back they go...

These shoes are very comfortable. I wore them on walks around my neighborhood to break them in before a trip to Europe, and they were comfortable right out of the box!

Although it doesn't look like it on the pictures, this shoe has a short back so my foot slips out every step otherwise they look great. I usually wear a 6.5 Wide or WW and the 37 fit so there is plenty of room.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. I love that the lacing reaches all the way to the toes. This means they are custom adjustable to every part of the foot, and can be changed whenever needed. And so lightweight!! I'm in love with Danskos.

Comfortable and business casual appropriate

The 39 was perfect with socks, I usually wear a 39 in Dansko. Very comfortable from day one, took a long walk without any problems. They are a go to shoe for those days when there is snow and wet after a storm but not during a storm. So far my feet have stayed dry. I can wear them all day at work comfortably too so I don't need to take an extra pair of shoes when it is wet.

These shoes are very comfortable. My only problem with them is that the "squeak" when I walk. I have three pair of these in different colors, and two of the three squeak so perhaps there is a design problem?? Otherwise, great shoe.

I have worn Dansko shoes for many years, mostly the Professional. I was hesitant to buy these because of the price and the change in style. I wasn't sure if they would fit or whether my personal orthotics would fit, etc. I ordered the size I normally wear in Dansko shoes (European sizes). This concerned me because of the width. The shoes have been great! My personal orthotics do NOT fit in the shoe, but Dansko's is better than many other shoe companies use. It actually has some support. The shoes were tight initially but relaxed quickly. I love the fit! My one complaint is that the shoestrings are too short. One shoe ties tightly and doesn't cause a problem. The other one comes undone quickly. I need to double knot, but it is difficult to tie because the strings are too short. Now, if only the price was less!

I really liked these shoes when I saw them. I studied them for a long time. I have several pairs of Dansko shoes which I love and can tolerate well. I finally took the plunge and ordered these. At first, I though they would be going back. They are true to size, but they fit snugly. I bought them in the European size I normally buy. They are not overly wide, which I finally decided is okay. I have to adjust what socks I wear with them and I cannot use my personal orthotics. The arch support is okay. I'm looking for another orthotic that might work as I need more arch support. But, after wearing them around the house for a few days, I have decided to keep them. They are good support. They have enough cushion. I like the style, but wish I had a different color, I think, although I do like the pine milled nubock (it is green, but a dark gray-green). If they weren't this expensive, I would buy a second color.

The Dansko Paisley is a sturdy yet attractive shoe and the chocolate color is delicious. They were comfortable right out of the box and I felt I could walk for great distances -- but sadly, I returned them because the shoes had notable squeaks when walking that while tolerable for me would perhaps have been bothersome for those around me.
