Super comfortable. This my second pair. Good for neuropathy and other foot issues. Very little breaking in time necessary. Not as durable (sole shows wear after about a year of walking.)

My darling dog Charles Barkley loves to play in the water gushing down the street when we get a heavy rain (lots of this in Seattle!) I wear my Paisleys every day rain or shine. They are a little too hot when the temps get above 70. They are waterproof and warm. They last a long time, I have probably walked well over 1,000 miles in my black pair. I rarely wear another shoe, walnut color in the Spring and Summer, Black Paisleys in the Fall and Winter. Plus, they make my feet look small.
Cons: The tongue is so stiff when you first get them, and a tad too long. So it is uncomfortable for the first 10 miles or so. They are not slip resistant. And I hate the laces that are round, they are constantly coming untied, even with a double knot. The flat ones (on the walnut and some other colors) are not as difficult.

Excellent shoe. This shoe is excellent quality and well made. Unfortunately I have a very narrow foot. Generally with a good sock this would have been a great shoe. Recently I have just had to start wearing orthotics. In order to get the shoe to fit with the orthotic in I had to add an additional thin insole and it brought my foot up high enough that the tongue area rubbed on my foot causing my need to return them.

First pair I ordered seemed just a little bit snug but yet still comfy. I just felt that after a day of schlepping in them I may regret not going up a size -- feet swelling and all that nonsense. So I returned the original order and opted to go up one size. Order was delivered in a day and the minute I put them on, I absolutely love these shoes. I don't regret going up a size (went from 40w to 41w). They are so incredibly comfortable and extremely supportive - great traction too. I have many foot issues and these will no doubt provide great structure and comfort! Highly recommended. New Balance has been good to me too but these are far superior for structure and comfort.

I put these on right out of the box and no issues. I like them. Toe box is nice and wide, heel holds well enough to not be slipping up and down. Better fit than Keen Targhee.

Fabulous shoe ! I have suffered with plantar faciitis and heel pain for years. Been a loyal Dansko clog wearer for work, but now wanted a walking shoe. The Paisley is perfect, it has great arch support, sole is thick and cushioned and most importantly a solid , thick comfortable and stable heel. I am over the moon to have found these shoes. Fit was perfect, I wear a 40 in the clog and the same for the Paisley, my toes don't get pinched.

These shoes look and feel great and have the added benefit of being good for winter weather. I haven't had a chance to try them yet in snow, but they kept my feet warm and dry on a recent rainy December day. They're very comfortable, even after a day of city walking.

Loved these except the tongue. It is short and comes out at a straight angle and is stiff. Meaning it digs into the front of your ankle. Maybe it would break in but it’s uncomfortable out of the box and at this price I don’t want to risk it. Going back.
Other than the tongue they were super comfortable.

Slippery when wet…I expected these waterproof shoes to perform a bit better or wet surfaces…they’re fine on wet asphalt and concrete (which is most of my raining days errands,) but the few stone areas / walkways and rocks while in woods hiking/walking they don’t provide great traction. Maybe because they’re still newish?? They don’t feel quite the same fit as my other Dankso’s ( a bit shorter in the toe) but very comfortable and supportive overall once I got used to them. Biggest complaint is the shoelaces….Will NOT stayed tied!! Sure, I can double knot…. But I’m the type of person that unties their shoes when taking them off, minor issue as even with the double knot they’re still (too) easy to untie so manageable. Despite those complaints, I do like the shoes and I am happy with the purchase.

While I didn't purchase my shoes at Zappos, I've now worn them daily for 6 months. I have been moderately happy with my purchase. My needs: sturdy, waterproof, good arch support. They are sturdy-somewhat like an ankle-height hiker. They are NOT waterproof. Perhaps water resistant but not waterproof. I can't attest to arch support as I put my own insoles in for additional support. I haven't had them slip but one very annoying (and potentially dangerous) feature: the laces simply won't stay tied. I've decided they must have some sort of coating for the waterproof claim but I find them constantly untied. I dislike this enough that I wouldn't purchase again. On longer walks (5-6 miles), they wear more like a hiking boot-just not all that comfortable for really moving out. While they are a bit clunky, they are an attractive clunky! I expect that from Dansko shoes. They are made to be functional, not attractive. Overall, a decent shoe but I'll keep looking for something that works better for me.

I am normally a 39, but lately 40 has been a better fit... can your feet put on weight??? Anyway, I suffer from post-chemo neuropathy and these shoes are just the most comfortable I’ve worn in a long time. I suspect my ideal size in this shoe would be a 39.5 as they are just slightly loose - but not enough to go down a full size. Thicker socks will do the trick.

This is my second pair of these shoes. I have been wearing the first pair for over a year. They are one of about 4 pairs of shoes that I can wear comfortably with my plantar fasciitis. I would say I wear them 4 out of 7 days a week - year round. I did add a different arch support insert at first in the initial pair because I was nervous about having a problem but the original insert turned out to be fine after all.
Here’s the thing. I ordered this second pair because we were going to Central America over Christmas break and I knew that we were going to be hiking around the Mayan ruins and zip lining and such so I just planned on taking my old pair and using the new ones when I got back. I should have had more faith in my original pair because it poured while we were zip lining and my feet stayed completely dry. I wore them a second day on a boat canal tour in the rain and again, shoes dry, feet comfy. Wore them third time on a muddy-ish day in Mexico hiking around the Mayan ruins. Returned to the shop - shoes look like they did when I left for the cruise! I didn’t need to replace them after all - they are good as new.
I’m keeping the new ones just for a variety in the color - ‘old’ ones are brown, new ones are gray.
I have loved my Danskos in the past and will continue to love them into the future.
Great shoe. Super comfy. Have been great for my plantar fasciitis.

I got the exact same size as another pair of Dansko Paisley in blue that I already own which fit perfectly. For some reason, the pair in solid black are too small, my big toe is crowded. Dansko makes a fabulous shoe for people with foot issues, like me but they are poor on the details. For example: the shoe laces do not stay tied & it's annoying to have to tie and untie double knots every time I wear the shoes. The shoes squeaked quite loudly -- to the point of being self conscious -- until I put talcum powder under the inner soles, which solved the problem. Also, the purple detailing on the all-black shoe is very ugly -- most people who want an all-black shoe, want an all-black shoe, not a black and purple shoe. A more neutral color would have been much better.

I wanted a pair of black shoes that are comfortable and practical but don't look like a typical hiking shoe or sneaker. These fit the bill perfectly. They are not as clunky looking as some Danskos and since they are not clogs they hug the foot better - but they still have some lift (thick sole) and great arch support. I ordered them in 37 and 38 (since I own Dansko sandals in 37 and like the fit) but I should have taken the size recommendation from Zappos which said I should order 38 if I wear 7.5 in Merrells. Yup, I kept the 38s and returned the 37s. (Three cheers for Zappos' return policy and ease of returns!) The 38s accommodate thicker socks and feel fine, not loose.

Most comfy sneakers ever. Feels like a Dansko looks like a sneaker. They are actually much cuter in person than the pictures. They look like a hiking shoe. Comfy right out of the box. They run true to size. My usual Dansko size fits perfectly.

I am so bummed with these shoes! They fit great, felt immediate relief in my knee. I own several pairs of danskos but never tried a gym shoe style. I thought I had finally found the perfect travel/hiking shoe. That is until I tripped over a tiny rock walking and because of the height of the shoe and classic dansko heel lift, promptly rolled my ankle and fell hard. I’m in my 40’s and active, so falling isn’t a common thing for me. I’m sad these didn’t work out but a sprained ankle off set the benefit these shoes were to my knee. I wouldn’t recommend these for hiking or walking on anything but a flat, smooth surface.

Nice looking shoe and did make my feet look small, but they are extremely heavy and hot. Also very stiff around ankle to where it felt like it would cause major irritation. Had to return.

This is the most comfortable shoe for working in my garden. With a hammer toe and bunion on the same foot the height and width of the foot bed accommodates without having to tape my toe. I can wear it for over 12 hours and it almost feels like a supportive slipper. Thank you Dansko. I have owned 3 pairs of this shoe for the past year and a half. I also purchased a soft blue color to wear outside the garden.

Thank you, Dansko! These shoes fit my feet perfectly!
I have a thin foot so I often find shoes/boots to be too roomy. These are not.

These were the perfect fit and comfortable right out of the box. We are planning a trip in a few weeks to Europe and I know I will be doing lots of walking on cobblestones. I need a shoe with stiff support for walking and these were perfect. I usually have to buy inserts for my walking shoes, but the inserts in these are exactly what I need with excellent arch support. That saves me $40-$50 right there! I wish they came in something other than suede. I hope I am able to keep them clean. I will give them a spray with scotch guard and take a suede brush in in my suitcase just in case.

My go to shoe. This one is a little darker gray than the last one - I like it. The tongue seems a little stiffer (4 stars) than my last pair but not enough to return. I now have 4 pair of Paisleys in various colors. I travel a lot. Good for walking & light hiking. It is waterproof!

Love the Dansko Paisley - I just ordered my fifth pair since 2018. (It's now 2024.) My first pair -- black waterproof suede with purple stitching -- saw me through a trip to Europe with cobblestone walking and a couple of hikes. The tread is deep enough (when new) for light hiking. A great option for vacations when you just want one pair of shoes because they look nice enough with nice slacks for all but the dressiest restaurants, and clean up with a light wipe with a damp washcloth. My only caution is that the heel of the Vibram sole wears out faster than I expected. On all of my pairs, the black rubber on the heal wore through after a while to show some white material, and the tread pretty much disappeared. I walk ~ 4 miles a day, mostly on streets, and each pair has lasted me about a year. At the end they still look pretty good. I've tried resoling the heel of a couple of pairs with a Vibram sole, but the tread on those also wore out very quickly so I guess it's just the way I walk. :-) (I'll note that I weigh about 112, but I push off hard.) Only some of the colors are waterproof. Mostly when I've looked those have been been black and navy blue. For the other colors, the suede nap wears off if the shoes are worn when it's wet outside. I've tried other walking shoes for variety, most recently one from Clarks, but this one is far and away the most comfortable I've tried for long walks because it's not very bendy.
