These are really handsome shoes. The 39 fit snugly. Google says you should have a finger's width between your toe and the end of the boot. I will err on the side of comfort and go for the size 40. 40 feels quite loose, but I think my feet might swell when I hike. Not sure, yet, whether I will keep them.

I have worn these every day for 2 1/2 years. They are finally starting to look worn. I'm about to buy my 3rd pair today. For me, there is no safer or more comfortable shoe.

I love this shoe and have multiple pairs (in different colors). The arch support and entire foot support is the best I've found. I even remove the insole from this shoe and put in other shoes I own that are lacking in support. They are comfortable for all day walking and are good looking. I wish Dansko had this insole in other styles of shoes or sold this insole separately so I could put them in all of my footwear. Wish they would come out with a deep green version.

These are incredible. I recently had bunion surgery and am having the hardest time finding shoes that are cushioned but still firm enough to provide support. They also look nice. I need to wear them around the house more to see how they do, but as of right now I'm planning to bring them to Europe with me. I like the Vibram soles and tough material, but they are good-looking and unobtrusive enough to wear to dinner if you're in my situation and dress shoes are not an option while you're recovering from a surgery. My feet feel so happy when I wear these.

I have another pair of the Paisley which I loved and I wanted them in another color. I need a wide and there were very few options that came in wide in this shoe. They do have a few more fashionable colors that aren't wide. So, I got the brown and love it! This style is sooo comfortable and looks fine with pants and jeans. They are very sturdy shoes with good arch support. My arthritic feet with small bunions feel great walking in them even after all day. I can easily walk my dog without concern about my feet hurting. They are water proof to boot, so walking in wet grass isn't a problem. I would highly recommend them.

Great fit. Feels a little stiff, like it will take some time to get softer and comfier, but overall, great support and fit for me. I have wide feet, very high arches, and tiny heels, so this is heaven. Laces all the way down make them very adjustable, which I love. They're also actually kinda cute, so I can wear them to wander when traveling. Yay!

Beautiful shoes but too small. Said they fit 11 1/2 - 12 and ddn't.

After walking around the house all day, with no discomfort, I've decided to keep these! I have a ton of foot problems, and these shoes meet all my needs and are also decent looking! I will be wearing these daily!

I have been having such a hard time finding shoes. Yes can find wide shoes in the toe box, but not enough in the heel area. I have a bone on the side of one of one of my feet that protrudes slightly and when there is pressure on it, the pain is extreme. If I wear a hiking boot style it doesn't occur, but couldn't find shoes and wasted so much money trying. Most shoes have this hard plate around the heel, making things worse. Buying double E wide doesn't help, as then too much space in toe box. With these there is no rubbing around the ankle, or top of foot. I have 2 very different feet, one is thicker takes one orthotic and one is slightly thinner, has 2 orthotic layers. But these shoes I can work with, And am able to fit socks too , don't have to wear nylons in this frigid weather. Finally No Pain! And they don't even appear as wildly big feet either. Love these shoes!

I like the design of the shoe. My heal hits first and keeps my toes from jamming forward. Very comfortable on my feet. Great walking shoe. I love the look and the comfort. I bought two pairs of this shoe in Black and Navy. I highly recommend Dansko Paisley shoe.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Even though they are a stable shoe, they are extremely light, and I’m able to stand in them all day. I hope that the other reviews are wrong about the falling apart too quickly, because I absolutely love them.

These shoes are so stylish. I love them.S hipping was fast. True to size. The outer leather is such a nice color. Good arch support.

Great fit and comfort for my bunions

Nice looking, sturdy shoes with good cushion. Wide width fit well. Did not fit me because of my high instep. Unfortunately I have to return them.

Comfortable from day one. The Vibram sole on these shoes makes them an improvement on my well worn "Helen" sneakers. Dansko sneakers are the only ones I can wear, and I really appreciate the roomy toe box. I do wish the sole was a darker color though. They would look a little more fashionable if they were all navy.

Awesome shoe! Looks great, great support and I love it. I also ordered the navy last week and have been wearing it around the house to be certain about keeping it before I wear it outside. I was thinking the black could take more of a beating like a hiking shoe could through dust, red clay soil, and mud but the nubuck leather is soft and I think I'd ruin them. I'm searching for a hiking shoe that can take a beating. I haven't found it yet to fit all my needs. I have a wide toe, narrow heel, PF, and neuropathy. I will keep the navy and return the black. I highly recommend this shoe!

I love this shoe so much, I bought it in black as well. My feet sit in solid support shoes. I can walk for hours, out on my orthotic and it will still be comfortable.

Fit perfect bought 5 days before trip to Europe. I had major surgery on my right foot and have a problem with shoes! Wore everyday, walked an average of 4 miles per day. My shoes were perfect! I love them, this is my second pair of these shoes that were purchased specifically for walking. PERFECT!

I have plantar fasciitis but need comfortable shoes to walk to work. I think these might be one of the sturdiest, stable and comfortable pair of shoes on the planet. They aren’t particularly fashionable or attractive but they get the job done. I got the all black ones and they seem to blend in if I wear wide leg black pants or jeans. My feet thank me at the end of the day.
