Great hiking shoe. Make the shoe in extra wide. We ordered wide but doesn't seem to be wide enough.

The kiddo wanted a pair of sneakers that had Velcro for easy-on easy-off at school, where students change shoes for indoor and outdoor activities. This sneaker has kept up with climbing, scooting, running, and all kinds of outdoor play. In fact, we are back for a second pair to become the indoor school shoes as well. Note: the kiddo wanted to give 4.5 stars, but there was no option for half star! \_()_/

Great sneakers for our super active 6 year old son. Very comfortable, easy to put on and off (thanks to the Velcro). The only thing we didn't like is that they were a bit smaller than we expected. Otherwise, great sneakers!

I've had three pairs of these for my son. He loves them and they're comfortable, "fast" (his priority!) and good-looking. The second pair, however, started falling apart after only 2 months of wear. Merrell replaced them for us, so we'll see how long pair number 3 lasts.

Good for my morning walk though I find them a little hard. Adding insoles helps.

My son has a wide foot ,and it's hard to find any stylish and supportive shoes. These shoes fit the bill! However, after a couple of months one shoe has almost fallen apart. Shoelaces broken, velcro strips are nearly falling off the shoe and the sole of that shoe is flopping off. Needless to say, I won't be buying this style again. (Yes, he's rough on shoes, but I expect Merrell shoes to be able to hold up for more than two months.)

I bought these for my son who needs orthotic inserts in his shoes because of a developmental disability. I was very disappointed to find that the insoles were thoroughly glued into the shoes, making them incompatible with his orthotics. The shoes fit his older sister, so it wasn't a total loss, but you really should move to using removable insoles across your product line..

The shoes fit as expected and the colors are cute, but sole is so thin I would feel every bump on the trail. Where's the supportive foot bed one expects of a quality walking shoe?

The color of the "gunsmoke" image shows significantly more brown, which is what we wanted, however the shoe is most certainly gray. Also, threads on top lace loops are already coming loose. Time will tell, but I hope the sole holds up way better than Striderite.

This shoe seemed wonderful out of the box, but after two months of use, it is falling apart. Such a shame -- just poor quality workmanship and materials, it seems. I can't believe we're already looking to for replacement shoes after such a short time!

I usually love Merrell products for my kids and have shoes that lasted over a year. These sneakers the "lace" part broke after a month. The sneakers were used maybe once a week as my son prefers sandels.

We normally love Merrell shoes but these did not hold up as well as other Merrell hiking shoes my kids have owned. The first pair we owned the lace broke immediately. We received credit to order a new pair. The second pair was ok for a few months, but after about 3 months of wear the inside of both shoes has completely worn through. My son was complaining that they were hurting his feet and I looked inside to see the black inner layer had worn completely through on both sides.

We are disappointed with the shoes we received in our most recent order. We ordered and received a size 2 1/2 wide. It is the exact same shoe our grandson is currently still wearing which is a half size smaller. We liked it so much we got a second pair. The problem is the shoes we received are not bigger but smaller. They are so narrow it's difficult for us to get them on his feet, even though they are half size bigger then the pair he's been wearing for only a couple of months that still fit him. The same is true for the second pair we bought our grand daughter. It seems the construction of latest shoes is using less material. The velcro tab is so short and the shoe is very narrow.

I have bought these shoes before and they are fine. However, Merrelll promised a pair of socks with them and, honestly, I bought them when i did because of the bonus socks. I like a good deal. But, no socks came with the order. I'm calling them to find out what happened.

Shoes seem great but the string already broke one month in

I love Merrell shoes and they usually last longer than any other brand but these didn't last long at all. Bought them for all three kids for summer camps this year and after the first week of my oldest wearing them the sole started to separate from the shoe now it is almost completely off and I will have to find something else that he can wear. The other two aren't as tough on shoes but there's are showing worse wear than I would have expected. Very disappointed in these shoes.

These shoes did not hold up any where as well as another brand has in the past. Within a few months of our short Nordic summer (3?), the tops had to be glued back together multiple times, the insoles are gone and had to be replaced with after market soles

My son has had 3 pairs of these shoes now in the last year. They are WONDERFUL for toe-draggers. Unfortunately, we've had an issue with the velcro on the last 2 pairs. I bought a pair in April and one in August, and the same thing happened to both. My kid is hard on things, but after the 2nd pair started to separate within a couple weeks, I think it's a design flaw. Really disappointed because it is super difficult to sew the velcro back on.

Our son was quite excited to receive these. They looked great, fit right and were comfortable. However trouble began within a few days of light use. The orange grips on the soles began falling off by themselves. The problem is getting worse, and we're now less than a month into these shoes and more than half the grips are gone. We're disappointed in such poor quality from Merrell.

These are my kid's favorite pair of shoes in regards to comfort, however after a few short months they are totally unwearable. The velcro has come apart and the shoes no longer stay on even though the rest of the shoe is fine. Disappointing in terms of quality and durability.

Great looking and fitting shoe, but wore out relatively quickly compared to the other Merrell's. Toe material is soft and wore through in a few months from the kneeling on the floor and ground.

My 6 year old loves these sneakers! I also did right up until their zag lace came undone at one end on one of his shoes. For what they cost, this is disappointing.
