Fantastic shoe for hard play. My son loves his new shoe and the orange color is flashy. This is a very durable shoe. He outgrew his fist pair and we ordered him a second pair. He loves them. Plus, they are similar to daddy's shoes.

These fit my 9 year old true to size. They were comfortable and easy to get into.

My boys love these shoes - cool colors and comfy! They wear them anywhere - hikes, playground, bike rides, school, gym glass, etc. I always come back to these, and other Merrell shoes due to their durability. They outlast any other shoe out there. These shoes are also great for stubborn kids who refuse to learn how to tie shoes!

This is the 4th time I've bought these for my 9 year old son. They have been great at every age. Solid construction durable comfortable and great colors. The only thing I would want different is for the foot bed to be removable. He gets them wet and dirty and it would dry much faster if i could take them out when washing or just to dry out. Also would help with seeing how his foot is fitting in the shoe as he grows.

The shoes should be worn for at least a week to break them in before large hikes. The shoes were great after that. First hike was to the peak of Mt. Lassen. 10,400 feet. 5 mile 1800 feet elevation hike.

My 4 yrs old son likes hiking and I believe merrell is always the best choice!

My son actually is keeping his shoes on instead of taking it off and in during the day. He says it's comfortable and not tight in his feet. He can run without nothing g his feet.

My 7 year old LOVES these shoes!!! Bought them before our trip to Northern MI. He wore them everywhere: hiking, fishing and riding his bike. He asked if we could get another pair just for school. Calling that a win.

My son usually destroys any shoes in less than 3-4 month. A pair of these survived the whole schoolyear and all through the summer with multiple hikes in multiple environments. These shoes have been put into ocean water, burried in sand, worn on all kind of trails and they are still wearable!

These shoes have lasted and lasted, 15+ months and my kids are hard on shoes. This was an entire school year and two seasons of summer camp. The 'other' brand lasted less than 3 months before they were falling apart.

Our kids used these shoes to hike Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. They were the perfect shoe for each place. We look forward to more hikes in our future.

I bough this for daily use by my son. It has a roomy toe box. Had to reorder a half size bigger, Merrells seem to run a little bit small. Used them for 2 days of city walking, way better than his old shoes.

Bought Trail Chasers for our two grandsons to wear when we took them to Moab. Super grip on the sandstone rocks!

This is the second pair of Trail Chaser's that we have gotten for our son, and they have been awesome. He is rough on shoes (and shirts and pants and toys and), but these have lasted the longest of them all. We would definitely get them again.

Trail, city, outdoor preschool, backyard -my son wears them everywhere! Love.
