I am surprised to read comments about water bottles falling out. This is clearly not a 'proper' daypack - see the various daypacks Osprey makes for serious hiking. This pack is excellent for when you're travelling and want something small and light. It also makes for a perfect 'personal item' when doing air travel and can thus be in addition to your main carry-on item (though of course check). When you want to bring a small day pack for casual use, which could include some hiking, without bringing a full-on day pack this is perfect. If you want a proper daypack for extended hiking then you might want to spend a bit more. I have both - this for casual use and a bigger day pack for 'proper' hikes and similar.

The Daylite Plus is a great pack for dayhikes. I carried two water bottles seated in the mesh pockets with the tops anchored by straps placed thru loops on the bottles - perfect. Plenty on room for snacks, maps, first aid and headlamps. I made paracord adjustable straps to attach my trek poles on either side when they were not in use. We hiked the Mighty Five in Utah and the Daylite Plus and Daylite were great packs for my wife and me.

I bought this at REI shortly before leaving on a 3-month tour of India. I started out with it packed into my luggage for day use, but quickly found it ideal for using as my "personal" bag on air flights. It's unbelievable how much stuff this will hold, and the large number of pockets allows a great deal of compartmentalization; I was still discovering new pockets months after using it. I'm now on a 4-month stay in Guatemala and am carrying it with me very day. SO useful , well-made and well-thought out. Thanks!

I bought this last year when our family was headed out west to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Our longest hike as a family was about 6 hours long and I found this pack able to hold absolutely everything I needed with room to spare. I purchased the 3 liter hydraulics reservoir which worked perfectly in its own compartment that rides right by your back. The main compartment has a divider in it as well. I was able to carry my jacket, lunch and even some emergency supplies should we be out longer than expected. It is super lightweight and you can hardly tell that its on your back. If I wanted, I could have even carried my hammock if need be. I also used this pack to travel recently and found it to be perfect to carry my book an travel pillow as I flew to CA, FL, and TX in a 3 week period. One of the best features that I like is the clip in the small accessory compartment which I use to clip my keys onto so I know they are secure when I return to my car. Great pack for the buck.

I walk/hike on holidays/weekends. This is a good capacity backpack BUT the water bottles slide out as the elasticised tops of the side pockets are too loose. I was going to buy another Day lite plus, but will wait tosee if Osprey corrects the side pocket issue.

A very comfortable fit with load bearing straps. I am used to a wider waist strap but this one does the job quite well. Good breath ability in the back support. I have to be careful with adjustment though as it sits naturally on the top of troYes waist, tending to push them down which can be uncomfortable. The long adjustment straps could do with some means of holding the loose ends which catch and snag like most sacks I've had over the years.

This bag is perfect for hiking trips and any any time you need to wear a bag for a long time. It felt very comfortable to wear. My only issue is a lot of the pastel colour schemes weren't for me. Returned the Soundwave Grey as it was more of a heather colour.

I got the Daylite Plus to act as a compliment to my Farpoint 40 for travel. I'm really pleased with how it can attach on the Farpoint despite not being the Farpoint-specific daypack, because this gives me a daypack with a bit more space. The main compartment holds a surprising amount of stuff for its size, and the bag is really comfortable to wear and carry. It worked really well being carried through the airport and also serving as a daybag for both around the city and campground camping. The colors are really vibrant too, which makes it look sleek and stylish. I also really appreciated how the service was quick and easy from ordering to delivery.

I own about 6 different Osprey packs in various sizes. The Daylite Plus is my everyday pack and I absolutely love it. Well built and well thought out. If it ever wears out (unlikely), I'll just buy another one. Can't beat it.

I now proudly have a small collection of Osprey Packs! This Daylite Plus pack is perfect for my days in the office and running about town. It is made sturdy enough to endure anything I need to do and still stylish enough to pass as a normal person in the world who looks cool! Not the woods dwelling gnome that I actually am. The bottle holders on each side is a sign of hydration minded design that is placed into the profile of the pack as opposed to sticking out the sides. I like the kangaroo pouch that holds a lot of my snacks. Also, the 3 inner compartments are perfect for placing the items I need in separate compartments; no digging to look for what I need. Thank you, Osprey, for another quality pack that fits my needs!

It's better than my original. Now it can hold a large bottle on both sides.

Got this Day Pack as mine was getting tired and didn't quite have the volume I needed, plus I got a bigger Osprey backpack last year which has been outstanding. I'm also delighted with this one, capacity is great for hiking and especially as a carry on bag for the long haul flights I've just done and trips into London. Easy access to things I need, great capacity for books, clothes, iPad etc and very comfy on the shoulder. Love it

Great pack! Had it for 10+ years through hikes and vacations. Elastics finally starting giving out, sent it in and Osprey ended up replacing my pack. 10/10 performance and 10/10 company who stands by their products.

Got this about 6 months ago and have really enjoyed using it. Makes a great day pack or back and forth to work. Compartments let you organize your items with ease. Lately though it seems to tip over easily where it did not before

Took this as my daypack for a trip around Thailand,Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam over 65 days including a 3 day trip around the Ga Giang loop when it was my main bag. Despite some rough treatment it still looks as fresh as the day it was bought. Good variety of pockets including two side bottle pockets. Only downside is you need a separate rain cover but that's it. Thoroughly recommend it.

My last osprey backpack traveled around the world 3 times. And only wore out the bottom after a decade of being sat on the ground . I never had any issues with it. I think the new replacement is even more robustly designed.
