I LOVE these boots! I can't say enough about them. I have been on a quest to find the perfect boot for a few years now - I have very small feet (size 5, sometimes 5.5), small ankles, and very muscular calves. I can't even count the number of boots I have ordered, and had to return because they wouldn't fit over my calves, or were very baggy at the ankle. The size 5 here is perfect!! I tried the 5.5 initially, thinking I could go a half-size larger than my normal size to ensure the calf fit, but I didn't need to. The 5 fit like they were made for me, and look so cute with dresses or jeans. The leather is really nice quality, and the detailing is great. Unlike a lot of other wide calf boots, these don't gap at all at the top, and look very nice. I might even order a second pair, just to make sure I have a backup in case anything happens to these. Do yourself a favor and order these boots!!

Love them - Went through 3 Zappo shipments to find this perfect boot! The fit is great, not too tight across my high instep, and there's plenty of room to tuck pants into the boot without looking baggy/saggy. Nice leather, nice finish on the interior and the look nice.

I'm totally in love with these boots! They are perfect right out of the box! I ordered the cognac in 12W--and it fits perfectly. The circumference is a bit wide which means you can fit your most baggy pair of jeans into them.

I wore these for the first time today and they were reasonably comfortable. I have very muscular calves and they boots fit nice. The elastic gussets allowed them to fit snugly without being uncomfortable.

A cute boot for someone with wider calves. I bought the wide width as well and they fit perfectly.

I thought these ran a bit narrow, both in the foot and the calf. I wanted to order a wide width, unfortunately, it is not available in my size, so a full return. Loved them otherwise.

This is a great looking boot. I selected 7D, wide shaft. Boot fit great & felt good on my foot but the shaft was too wide, which is unusual for me with my slightly 15 1/2 calf and then my skinny jeans tucked in. I have tried several boots with wide shafts & never had it too wide! I would say these boots would fit someone with a WW shaft or about 16 1/2 to 17 inches. Unfortunately, this was not a good look on me, so I had to return this pair of Trotters.

Yet again, another boot described as having and 18 inch calf is too snug for my 16 inch calf. Guess I’m just going to have to give up boots ??

Very comfortable boot! I wore them right out of the box all day and my feet felt good at the end of the day!

I loved these boots. I'm 5'2" and I have wide feet and 16" inch calves. These were the only boots I've ever found that let me comfortably walk around all day.The only thing I didn't like were the zipper pulls, which flipped up all the time as I walked. After a season of use, the zipper pull actually broke off (the actual metal broke). I'll take them to get the zippers replaced, but for $200, I wanted boots that lasted more than a season.

Very pleased with these boots. Nice quality and they fit my calfs which most “wide” boots don’t. I read the reviews and did order a half size up - seems like a smart move!

These boots fit really well. I'm 5'10 and have wide calf. They zipped up easily and felt very comfortable. I was really torn about these boots. In the end I returned them because they just weren't quite tall enough and I thought that was unflattering.

Cute boot, was the only one of three wide boots that actually fit my foot, but the shaft was more of an extra wide. The only way to wear it comfortably would be to always wear it over a pair of straight leg jeans.

I so want to provide 5 stars for these! I love them, however I was a bit disappointed with the raw leather edge on the inside along the zipper. The leather has been fraying with each wear, leaving debris on my pants and feathering off with each zip. For the price, I am nervous with the wear of these long term. Certainly boots of this price should last quite a long time. The fit is great, I would say they do run more narrow. I wore these for 5 hours the first day and had no aches and pains! The Cognac tumbled leather color is perfect for fall and winter- looks great with black and denim!!

I'm 5'3" and didn't think I had wide calves until I tried to buy boots. Definitely go for the wide calf! They're great. Very comfortable. The only downside is that the part that you pull to zip it up and down is weak. I've had it break in half twice. Be gentle and patient with your zipper and you should be fine.

Loved the look of this boot but the shaft was not wide enough even with a WW and I would have considered even having an insert put into it but the design would not allow that.

Love the boots, they're very comfortable, however after only a couple of wears the zipper broke off. Zappos was quick to help with an exchange and the new pair is great.

They felt a little tight in the calf for an 18". They are a cute style but too snug for me. I also felt they ran about a half size small.

I was on the hunt for perfect boots for my 16" calves - I ordered three pairs from Zappos and these won it for style, fit, and comfort. My only concern after wearing them fairly regularly for a month and a half is that one of the zipper pulls broke off. Zappos service was terrific as always and replaced them no questions asked. I definitely don't want it to happen again because I'm in love with these boots!

Nice boot but didn't make the cut. This was one of three pairs of boots that I tried. One of the main reasons I returned this pair was the gap at the top of the boot. It was much larger on this boot than the others that I tried that had stretchy fabric at the top.

The style, size and comfort are all perfect! I only gave it 4 stars overall, because I had zipper issues both times I received this product. The first order I received, the boots came with the zipper broken off straight out of the box. When I received the replacement order, the zipper came off when I tried to zip the boots. Great product but be careful with the zipper.
