For someone on their feet all day this shoe needs way more padding. Perhaps keeping the foam insert and buying wider or next size up to accommodate orthotics might work. It does have a wide toe bed and rigid heel area, but just not enough cushion with my orthotics. I returned mine.

I was excited to see the color gray-green, which would be perfect for autumn. Usually New Balance fits me, but this time they were, well, "baggy", even more so that an old pair that had been worn and stretched. I sent them back..

Very light and a great cushion on the insole, but something in the structure of my shoe touches against my arch and is sure to be uncomfortable with wear so they're going back.

The shoe looks great but the arch doesn't align with my arch.

Returned- cute, but I was hoping they'd have more cushion & support. They're a nice low profile sneaker for walking around, but not exactly what I was looking for

I found them comfortable. But, for my needs, I did not think the shoe offered enough heel stability, so I returned them.

This shoe was not comfortable. I wear a size 8.5 wide and the shoe fit true to size. The tongue of the shoe was short and not padded enough. The sole of the shoe did not have enough cushion. I liked the look of the shoe and really wanted it to feel good on but it did not.

These shoes are those sneakers that will be in my closet and only be worn maybe five times a year. Not comfortable at all walking around campus, so I doubt they would work well for running. They feel cheap and thin. Get what you pay for with these.

traction on bottom of shoe caused slipping

I really wanted to love these; the style is great with the marled space dye fabric, but the fit missed the mark by a lot. It felt like my heels were sinking into the ground and my toes were pointed up in the air. I only wore them around the house for a few minutes, but I would imagine a whole day of being in these shoes would kill my knees and hips.

First there is zero arch support in this shoe. I use off the shelf good quality orthotics (not Dr. Sch..) and they were the only thing that gave any support to my foot. The insole is junk. The foot well is built to shallow to keep the foot in the shoe even while walking gently. Tightening the shoelaces only made the shoe more snug over the middle of the arch, the shoe does not come up far enough on the foot to properly snug the foot. The heel well was still loose and shallow. The ends of the shoes turn upwards, like an old pair of well-worn leather shoes. The shoe has no rise in the heel, in fact it felt like the negative heel of earth shoes. Color was good and the width of the toe box was good but the rest of it was worse than wearing a 1950's version Keds. I cannot recommend this shoe for anyone with real feet.

Zappo wanted a review right out of the box, but I'm glad I waited. They are as comfortable as slippers, all around your foot. The uppers must also have cushioning to create this feeling. The problem is the lacing is through loops of additional lacing. One loop has already broken open, but there are no traditional holes to use as a work around. Strange. The fabric of the uppers is like a plush sweatshirt fabric, and it soaks up water such as dew in grass. Wish these shoes didn't have those two problems because they are comfortable.

Beyond frustrated with New Balance. I've worn NB for years with no problems. The last year it has been impossible to find a style that works. Toe box too tight, squeaks when walking, shorter lengths are just a few of the frustrations associated with NB. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Loved the shoe, loved the fit... hated the design flaw. A lace loop on both shoes on the first pair I ordered pulled loose with the first tug of the laces. I submitted/reordered the shoe and the replacement was at my door the next day. This time I didn't even put the shoes on before I saw the fraying on the lace loop. A design flaw, too bad because I loved the shoe. I will try another style as I only wear New Balance and I only get them from Zappos because their service is amazing!

Review after wearing for 3 months: - They squeak. Loudly. A lot. Of course they didn't start until after I wore them outside and decided to keep them. - The tongues would not stay straight no matter how carefully I tied the shoes. Most athletic shoes have a loop through the tongue so that the tongue will stay straight. These do not. My tongues were constantly constantly skewing to one side. - A problem I have that a lot of people don't, and I have this with a lot of athletic shoes: My big toe curls up, so I need a big toe reinforcement. Otherwise I wear a hole in the shoe. So that happened, and now I'm buying new shoes and will not have to put up with these ones any longer. Yippee!
