Nice shoe but not even close to 4E. Way to narrow. The new balance shoes coming out of China are to narrow even in 4E.

These shoes are not true to fit size. Compared to other shoes bought from Zappos, the 13/4E is more like a 12.5/3E Other than that the shoe appears to be a good product.

I have always ordered size 13 4e these were too narrow and hurt my feet. my other new balance orders in the past of this size were very comfortable.

This is the worst fitting shoe I've ever purchased. I had to reorder a size and 2 widths bigger just to get on. I don't understand how a standard measure could be so far off. My feet hurt so much in these shoes that I keep checking if I have them on the right feet! The quality seems above average but they hurt so much I'm ready to donate them to charity after only several uses.

I have bought many 11.5, wide New Balance shoes. These are the only ones too short by a size or two.

Dad loves them! Very light and comfortable. He recovered from stroke and still has some challenges when walking but he says these sneakers/shoes, keep his feet safe and straight. He absolutely loves them.

Great sneaker; got it for its moisture repelling quality. I already knew that New Balance makes a quality product so the purchase was spot on.

Nice shoes. Comfortable right out of the box. I have a low volume foot (regular width but not tall top to bottom) and these work fie for me. I was looking for something warmer than regular sneakers for the winter. These aren't as warm as I'd like, but still highly recommended.

I've had 2 pair of these and after looking around I'm getting ready to order my 3rd. They do not wear out. I've damaged my feet years ago and am paying dearly for it now. With my newest orthotic inserts and feet flattening out some I simply have to go to larger sizes. I wear a 12 4E now. Thank you New Balance for continuing to make a solid great looking shoe for us Americans with large or damaged feet! Oh, and I also wear the low top version of these New Balance shoes during the summer.

Size 11 D - I've had these shoes for several weeks and find them true to size & width with moderate arch support. I do a fair amount of walking 4+ miles per day and find it difficult to find shoes that are both supportive and comfortable. I was previously using the 801 but it has been discontinued and these 779s are equal in fit and superior in comfort. They were only available from New Balance, but now that they are available at Zappos I am ordering a 2nd pair.

Bought these as replacement for their earlier model. (I got about 150 miles of hikes on that pair.) These are comfortable and well made. I wear a 4E width so NB is often my go-to brand. Sometimes their product varies in width however this pair feels true to size and width. Excellent shipping and customer support from Zappos....as always!

I have been wearing these for over a week now and they are extremely comfortable. The previous New Balance model I had been wearing for years had been discontinued. The first thing I noticed different was how much the cushion the heel has, much more than the previous shoe model. They also feel like they are slightly higher and slightly stiffer in the ankle, should help prevent ankle twists. Having worked through bouts of plantar fasciitis I think these should work very well avoiding any new occurrence of that.

Typically my New Balance 4E need a bit of stretching, but this pair just felt like a 2E. Definitely very small on the width.

I loved the style and look of this shoe. Unfortunately, that's the only praise this shoe gets. The width, despite it being 4E, was STILL TOO TIGHT and NARROW! This seems to be a problem with New Balance shoes lately. My normal size is 11 2E (W) and I have no problem getting shoes of this size to fit from other manufacturers such as Rockport, etc. I even ordered a size 11.5 4E of this shoe and it STILL didn't fit. Many of the other reviewers are right: New Balance's sizing and quality control have been completely off lately. If this can be communicated to them I would appreciate it since I've been buying NB shoes/sneakers for almost a decade, until now.
