Great shoe for narrow feet! I often wear mules b/c my heel is so narrow that my feet slip out of shoes with backs. Not these-- they're great. I walked a long distance in them the first day I had them. My only quibbles are that they look a bit like little-girl mary-janes, and there's very little arch support, so feet may get tired a bit soon. But overall this is quite a nice shoe.

Nice styling and detail. Color is really more bronze than pewter. The strap was not adjustable enough to accomodate my needs.

I loved everything about this shoe and how it made me feel, except the blisters I got on each foot. The criss-crossing straps are not elasticized and were tight across the top of my foot. Had to return them unfortunately. They didn't have a wide width available in black in my size, otherwise, I would have tried the wider shoe, hoping it would alleviate my problem. Otherwise, it was comfortable and stylish - a great walking shoe.

These shoes are NOT pewter. They are brown with a little metallic look. Maybe bronze. The inner strap that goes over the top of the foot is shorter than it should be, making the shoe fit on the narrow side. I have the exact shoe in black from the year before last, and they fit fine. I don't know if the too-short strap is a manufacturing defect or just "down-sizing" of their quality assurance. They are otherwise comfortable, and I hope they will stretch. The Velcro closure strap is shorter than in the previous versions, but I can still use it. My black pair were 5-star; these I give 4 because I can't wear them all day because of the tight strap across the top. If they stretch they will be perfect, as the black ones were.

These shoes felt comfortable when I got them, and they still feel comfortable at first. However, after I wear them for a period of time, my feel fall asleep. The right foot falls asleep every time I wear them .... while walking, standing, sitting, combining activities. I keep hoping they'll get "broken in" or something will change, because I like the shoes.

Shoes are too short compared to my older Clark's shoes. Toes jammed into ends of shoes.

I am really sorry to have to return these otherwise perfect shoes. The style and length were great (size 11N) but they were just too wide in the foot and heel and I couldn't cinch them up enough to make them work. Ideally I wear a 10.5N but few shoes come in that size.

Both sizes (9 1/2 N and 10 N) had a space between the heel and back of the shoe. Soles were so stiff that my wife (88 years old) could not bend them when standing in the shoes. She liked the style of the shoe.

These were super cute and well constructed but I found them uncomfortable and awkward once on my feet. They were stiff and because the sole curved up near the toe box my gait felt awkward. Sadly returning them.

Thumbs up to Clarks for a right sized, cute shoe, where the 7 is really a 7 and wide is really a wide as in years past. In spite of that I’m returning them because they are made of very stiff, uncomfortable leather and the soles are some kind of slick plastic that seemed dangerous as a walking shoe.

They were very painful as soon as I put them on. The sizing was correct but they put pressure across the top and sides of both feet. I returned them

I love these shoes - they are very comfortable and fit very well. Unfortunately, yesterday I I noticed that the stitching along the toe line was coming out. I haven’t worn these shoes more than maybe 20 or 30 times, so I would not expect this problem to be happening. Very disappointed….

I have many pairs of Clark's and really like this brand so I thought I would try these. Unfortunately, these seemed quite small and didn't have enough support for me so I returned them.

I had two problems. The right shoe in particular was too large and my foot kept slipping. The other problem was the fastening device which was difficult to use, especially on the right shoe. (The material seemed wider than the opening allowed.) Wish the shoes fit better, since I really liked the style.

These shoes hit my ankle and were uncomfortable as soon as I put them on.

I really wanted to keep these shoes, unfortunately the inner lining was not removable and I could not place my orthotic. I tried it on top but it did not work. Nice shoe, but no arch support. Why do these shoe companies make a shoe with no arch support?

The style was pretty nice. It was not comfortable where the straps attach to the sides. Not much support for walking.

Not greatly comfortable as there is a bit of leather that tends to rub. .

Runs big. I am typically 8-1/2 wide (C/D) and that's what I ordered. Too big overall. Style a bit dowdy, so will not be trying any other sizes.

I have generally loved Clarks shoes for years, so I was very hopeful about these. But they felt too hard and ungiving, and the 8.5 size was a bit large--but I think the 8 would be too small. I am looking for the perfect sort-of-dressy shoe that also will hold up well for two months of train travel through Europe. These won't do, unfortunately.
