I have four pairs of Keens, but unfortunately these won't be the fifth. I'm really surprised. First off, the Gargoyle color is much darker than in the photo - it's more of a dark gray/dark olive than light gray. Also, they are smaller than my other keen size 9s, and finally, that are surprisingly"puffy." I don't know how else to describe it - they feel roomy and the contrast materials are padded. They looked great on line but now that I have them, they feel and look like Mickey Mouse boots.

I got these in a 12, I’m normally an 11.5. The 12 fit me, therefore I say they felt a half size small.

Take heed - these do run significantly small. I read the reviews and ordered a 7.5 instead of my usual 7 and still too small. Also the color contrast between dark and light grays was more noticeable than I'd realized from the photos. My quest for the perfect shoe continues!

This style lack the usual arch support I have come to love about Keens.

I usualy love Keens...The wide toe is what I need. These are great shoes, but way too narrow for me. Gotta send them back with regrets...

I have had many pairs of Keen shoes and boots. These fit smaller than the last pair of shoes I bought

I should have listened to the reviews......too small. I have purchased at least 8 pairs of Keen boots and shoes, all size 12. These 12's are not true to size.

Very comfortable shoe that looks nice enough to wear in the office. Color is darker green than th picture shows.

Bought these shoes because I wanted some good waterproof shoes for winter. I have several pairs of Keen shoes and they all fit perfectly. I got my usual size and they were just too snug. I didn't have particularly thick socks on but my toes felt like someone was pushing me back from the tips of my toes. Took a couple of steps in the living room and said "Uh, no." They didn't have the next size up, so I returned them. My only complaint was with the size. Construction and quality of the shoe was outstanding!

Worn 8's in every pair of Keens I've ever owned. Had to return for 8.5. Save the trouble and get a half size larger. Other than that good like all other Keene shoes

Looks nice but these seem to be a full size smaller than another pair of Keens I had. I'm going to return these and re-order.

I ordered a half size up after seeing the other reviews. My husband’s 9.5 foot fit well into the 10, well one of them since the other shoe was obviously smaller than than the other labeled size 10. Am returning the shoes and wondering on the quality of keens. I’ve been buying them over the last 15 years and seems like each time the shoes wear out a little quicker than the ones before

I first bought Keen products and I generally love them. I have a pair of hiking boots, trail shoes and bought a pair of steel tipped work boots when I bought these Citizen Keen. Like others have mentioned, this shoe is not true to Keen's general sizing. I fit perfectly in a 9 1/2 in all the other Keen products. The 9 1/2 in this shoe is way to small. Not sure if it's a 1/2 or whole size smaller, but it is definitely smaller.

Keen seems to have 2-3 lasts and these are on the smaller one. Very disappointing as I love my Keens which fit great (and seem to be on the 'middle' last).

Nice styling. Rugged construction and I am delighted to see Keen offer a waterproof construction. The standard shoes are good but you must constantly "slather" the seams with NikWax to keep salted snowmelt from seeping through the joints, ruining the leather and making wet feet. The Keen Citizen Waterproof shoes were very comfortable but seemed short, compared to Keen shoes this size I've bought in the past. My usual Keen length is 10.5 and they fit nicely but my toes rubbed against the end of these shoes. I returned them and will replace them with a longer shoe in this model. I wonder — did the waterproof construction change the fit?

Too narrow and foot bed is too flat.

As others have noted, these run extremely small. I’ve had over a dozen pairs of keens so I thought a 10.5 would fit fine. Had to send them back and get an 11. Received the 11 and while the length may have been ok, the toe box was uncomfortable; something no other keen shoe has a problem with. Ended up returning both pairs and finding something else.

I have 4 pairs of Keen shoes, boots etc. All 8.5 size. Event these 9's are to small. Hey Keen, be consistent with your sizes.

Went up a half size as suggested but for some reason,just the left one felt about a half size too small. Clearly two different size shoes as indicated in someone else's review. they seem to ride low in the back also. Their looks are the only thing they have going for them. Don't bother.

Avoid this shoe. The size is too small and the toe box too narrow. Keen is noted for their wide toe box, and these shoes are not constructed along the same lines as most Keens with a wide toe box.
