This backpack is awesome. It has a ton of pockets and storage areas. My only gripe is that inside the main area there are some fabric pouches that things get caught up on because they are just open areas. Also the main area is relatively narrow considering how large the entire area is and how much storage. It has the terrific loft pocket where I can easily grab my badge and that's really all I need in life.

I travel with 2 laptops and was looking for a backpack that was TSA friendly without sacrificing other features. I used my new backpack for the first time last week. It breezed through security without the screener even stopping the conveyer belt. I was able to fit some clothes in the main compartment and computer cords/chargers in another one. When I got home, I could find my keys easily. It's a great design.

Due to a job change I found myself carrying my laptop and other necessary (and heavy) items around New York City on a frequent basis and the weight of my old briefcase was killing my back. I'm not a fan of backpacks but I needed a better solution. I sent weeks looking at different products from low budget to the ridiculously expensive. Frankly I couldn't tell the difference. I chose the OGIO Axle for a number of reasons: First I like the overall feel and quality. It has tough zippers, looks well made and it has a lot of flexibility to accommodate not just my walking around the city and the subway, but it's going to be my new carry-on bag. Just as important, the strap system is very comfortable, it's padded and doesn't feel uncomfortable even when the bag is loaded. I've had it about 6 weeks and used it extensively and so far it still looks new. Originally I saw this as a temporary solution and my wife was going to buy me a high-end Tumi for Christmas. I told her not to waste her money because I am so happy with this. Thanks OGIO

This bag does everything I wanted it to do. I carry quite a bit of stuff with me and the bag doesn't bulk out like a high schooler that hates using a locker. Tons of room for organization and no pockets that seemed pointless. Great bag for commuter.

I'm not a backpack fan and have bought a few and always went back to my bag. But this one is worth it. Light weight and well organized pockets that still keeps it light weight.
I had to make a change because of neck and back issues and would recommend this bag.

This backpack is great for everything! I have had it for a few months now. I use mine daily for carrying my laptop to and from work. It has plenty of space and compartments. I love how I can just slip it over my suitcase as well while traveling. It makes getting through the airport a lot easier. The Heathered Grey is sleek and stylish. I'm not a huge fan of the gold on the inside, but that is a very minor detail. I'm happy to say this is highly functional and durable backpack that I'm very glad I bought!

The backpack is great. It does not turn you into a hunchback because it keeps its vertical shape. The pockets are well placed and padded and there are a surprising (very good) number of inside zippered pockets.

Verified PurchaseReview for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
This is double the price of the Ogio Tribune but well worth it. The material is higher grade. It's got great features. The cell phone pocket at the top and another to the side, the organizer front pocket is nice and deep and so is the technology pocket. The TSA friendly laptop carrier is well protected. It's very comfortable and looks very professional, not like a high school kid's backpack. Best of all, the two deep side water bottle pouches will hold a hydroflask thermos or coffee thermos very sturdily which is reassuring when biking or swinging the backpack off to hop on public transportation.

Not too big, but fits my large work laptop. Is easy to squeeze into busy public transit and the bag feels very well made. The only part I don't like is there are a few too many small pockets that I'm not sure what to do with, feels like unnecessary added complexity.

I bought this backpack for my 17" laptop, and just like the description said, it fits! Overall good quality backpack, thick material, hefty zippers, and tons of pockets. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is because when I bought it, the picture of the dark static bag had blue dots on the straps, not gold. I received a bag with gold dots and now the picture on the website has been changed. Not a reason to return the bag, but I would have preferred the blue.

I've only had it for a couple of weeks but I've enjoyed it so far.
I've been on a plane and running to meetings. It holds everything I need from my 15" Macbook to my headphones to my glasses, pens, and other mobile office supplies.
The only downside so far is it doesn't keep paperwork as bend-free as a briefcase but I generally pop everything into a folder already.

The quality of the bag is good. The nylon is strong and zippers seems strong. However, here are the major problems that make it a waste for me:
No strap that holds the shoulder/chest straps together, so it is uncomfortable when loaded and walking through airports etc. In 5 mins, it makes me hold the straps together to avoid discomfort.
The zippers, while strong have stiff backing in certain areas that prevent the zippers from working smoothly.
Not enough organizing pockets for the modern traveler or consultant type of person. I kinda wish I had bought the eBags for this reason. It can be difficult to find smaller items. Also, the top pocket is a very tight fit for a larger phone if you have anything else in it.
Teh side pockets are cheap banded mesh. Teh elastic will soon start to stretch permanantly and render the pockets useless.
In coclusion, it was a waste and I'll simply give it away and get something like the eBags or a Samsonite that has more organizing internal pokets and a better crrying design.
