I tried every color but only kept the light brown. I wear size 11 on every Vans shoe except their Slip-on and this Sahara Boot which I have to wear a half size larger (11.5) The dark brown Sahara Boots in 11.5 were inconsistent in size as they were smaller than the 11.5 in the other two colors. This boot is very similar in style to Clarks Desert Mali Boot. The main difference is the style of the outsole. The Clarks have a heel and the Vans don't. Like most new boots, the heels are very rigid and will feel better once broken in but they are pretty comfortable right out of the box, especially for being boots.

I work in retail and wanted to find a pair of boots to wear all day during my busy holiday season and so far so good. My feet don't hurt.

A great boot with the classic Vans fit and comfort. I'd thought about buying some of those Frye prison boots (don't ask why, long story), and these popped up. They're like a third of the price, and they look, fit and feel great. For such a substantial looking boot they are light and flexible, too. I did originally order a 9.5, so I'm marking these as half-sized smaller than marked, since the 10 is perfect. These are a good boot at a great price!

Leather keeps feet warm and roomy enough for a thick pair of socks. Comfortable to walk around in all day.
