This is my second pair of Merrell knee high boots. I had the previous version with the buckles across the back for three years, and I only gave them up because the buttons popped off. I replaced them with these, and they are as comfortable as my previous pair. I can wear them and walk for 5km or more without blisters or any kind of pain. I have wide feet and high arches, these still fit without any fuss.

I own 4 different styles (at the least) of MERRELL. Always comfy right out of the box. When I first put these on - I thought they might be a bit small (by half a size). Since all my MERRELLs and these are size 8, I decided to wear them. It turns out they were not too small. They were just right. I walked all around the city in them. As comfy as all my other MERRELL footwear. (My foot is a bit wide but my heel is a bit narrow.) I like the look a lot, too. Great for city walking.

I ordered these to replace some Merrells that I have worn for years. I was concerned that these seemed stiff overall and particularity tight around my calves, but they loosened up within one wearing and are now completely comfortable. I admit that I had to stuff a bit of tissue in the boot around the ankle area the first two times I wore them, but now they are incredibly comfortable and absolutely waterproof. Great quality boot and a quick break-in period.

I wanted to love these but in the end I decided they just felt too frumpy. They look like rain boots rather than waterproof leather boots that you could wear in the rain. The rounded toe and seam down the middle of the foot make them look very casual. I wanted something more versatile. I was disappointed to send them back because I've been searching for a pair of mid-calf weather proof boots. The search continues.

I've been wearing Merrell winter boots for years. They keep changing the style slightly every year and this version with the two-tone brown is not my favorite, but the fit, quality, and comfort are good as ever.

They are very pretty. They are stiff and I had a hard time getting my foot in. My foot is wide across the front and it was very tight across the front of my foot right before my toes. I have a pair of fabric Merrell Mary Janes that fit me great and I hoped these would have the same sort of shape, but they feel much narrower. That's why I returned them.

Purchased these boots for my mother for a trip to a rainy/slushy trip to NYC in the early spring. According to her, they were perfect! She said that she felt secure walking along slick wet surfaces in the subway, street, buildings... her feet were warm and dry. We walked no less than 5 miles each day in the pouring rain and she had no problems at all. She also told me that they did not require any break-in time and had only worn them once before our week long trip to NYC.

I love this brand! The boots are so comfortable, I can wear them all day! They work perfectly in the rain!

I cannot tell you how much I love these boots. I have a similar pair in brown also. I've been wearing them for 2 years now and they are holding up really, really well! They were comfortable straight from the box, no breaking in period. I have walked around all day in these several times and not been uncomfortable. When my boots finally wear out, I will immediately replace them with the updated style!

Perfect boots - stylish yet also functional, especially since I live out in the country in MT. They're a little stiff but I wore them for a whole day for the first time and only my pinky toes were a little sore. Overall my feet felt great. The stiffness shows their quality and how long they'll last. I've purchased Merrell shoes that fit oddly in the past (are way smaller than anticipated) but I'm usually a 10.5 and ordered these in an 11 which fit perfectly. Highly recommend!

Very nice looking boots, and comfortable. Unfortunately for me, they rubbed the top of my two outside toes on one of my feet, which was uncomfortable. I wore them around the house for a little while, hoping it would subside, but alas, it didn't. For the record, I do have one foot that's slightly bigger than the other, which is the foot on which the rubbing occurred. They really are beautiful boots, and well made. If it weren't for the fact they rubbed wrong, I would have given them 5 stars across the board.

SO pretty but they run too small. Had to return them. Marking 3 stars because I can't really tell how comfortable, etc. they would be!

Somewhat disappointed. I have another pair of Merrell boots that are getting me through my second New England winter wonderfully. Snow, ice , slush I can deal with. They are brown and I wanted a black option. This pair may be waterproof but have no better traction than any of the many boots I already have in my closet. I wore them around the house for an hour before wearing them out with no problem. I have unfortunately now worn them outside, have a large blister on my heel and they don’t fulfill the purpose for which I bought them.

After years loving Merrell's Captiva Strap tall boot, I was disappointed that the style had changed. For a "tall" boot it is rather short (only mid-calf/4 inches shorter than my previous boots). The ankle area felt larger and so I was concerned about heel slipping. I still love the flared toe box and miss the instant comfort it proved. I returned them and tried 12 other boots (truly... longest boot hunt for me ever).

I bought these for a winter trip to England. Having a terrible time finding waterproof leather boots that don't look like expedition wear. I like Merrill, but these have to go back.The material is stiff and uncomfortable. Boots are very hard to pull on unless wearing very thin socks, which wouldn't help in cold weather. They rubbed the back of my heels when walking around my house. They looked to be well-made and sturdy. I ordered two others in different styles, hopeful they will be a better fit for me. I love Zappos for their easy returns and free shipping both ways!! My very favorite online vendor. They're the best!

I've gone through multiple pairs of very similar Merrel boots, and the trend is decidedly downhill. The slight tweaks from the Tetra Launch to the Captiva Launch were disappointing -- less traction, less waterproof -- but not enough to put me off sticking with Merrell. These Travvy boots are the updated version of the same series, but further changes make them unwearable for me. They have a flatter sole that's a wedge instead of a tiny heel, which makes them less attractive, and an oddly uncomfortable foot bed. They are slightly wider in the heel and the toe box is smaller. The arch is considerably higher than in the old ones, and it doesn't match up with the arch of my foot. Amazon still carries limited sizes of the Captiva Launch and the Tetra Launch, and I'm going back to another pair of the old ones instead.
