These boots are beautiful, but I ordered them in a size 7.5 (referenced in my other boot review) - my usual size for many many years. The minute I took these boots out of the box, I thought they looked too small. In fact, I thought they looked like a size 6. I put them on with cotton, mid weight socks and could barely get them on. My big toe was jammed up against the end of the boot. I could not find a shoe size printed on the boot itself, so it is possible that sizes had been switched by someone or accidentally put in the wrong box. I was skeptical of this style, however, and when I ordered a different style of Sorel boot from Zappos, I ordered an 8. The 8 fits like I would expect a 7.5 to fit. However, if you like to wear extremely bulky winter socks or 2 pairs of socks, then you might need a full size - rather than just a half size larger.

Very comfy and super cute. I need a lot of arch support so I was very surprised how comfy and cute these turned out!

LOVE these boots! I had been looking at them for some time and finally decided to purchase. I had purchased Sorel Sandals a few years ago and loved the fit and durability. Needed some winter boots for shoveling and yet some fun looking boots to wear out. These were it! I normally wear a 9 so ordered a 9.5 just to b sure I could wear a heavier sock under them for really cold days. Although a 9 may have worked, very happy with the 9.5. They are cute, stylish, like the faux fur in them and they seem like they will wear like iron. Just missed getting them in time to try them out for a big snow storm we recently had. I was a bit concerned black may be a big blah but didn't find that to be true. Vey happy with boot. Also Zappos did match the price I saw on another website as the black were not on sale here. Musts be same size, same color and in stock at alternative site though. AND...the morning chat gal Holly was fabulous! Very happy Zappos customer and Sorel boot owner!

Very warm and dry. Wore them for the first time for a week straight in the Swiss alps and were comfortable from day one. Normally wear 7.5-8 and went with a 8.5. Comfortable with normal socks with some room for thicker socks when needed.

I have narrow feet and I felt like these boots felt like a great fit! Very cute!

Finally the perfect winter boot! Vegan so no animals harmed for my footwear. Sturdy, waterproof, comfortable, stylish. Especially once you factor in winter socks, definitely order a half size up. Love these.

I must have ordered 4 or 5 different snow boots but they were either too difficult to get on or were not tall enough or just plain ugly. Finally, a warm, tall and cute boot that I am keeping! I’m a size 8 and size wasn’t an issue. I have a wide calf and these lace up, so no issue there. They are definitely warm as I had them on all day and my feet were quite toasty. Now to test out their waterproof-ness.

This is a very stylish winter boot with a great duck boot bottom to keep your feet dry in the winter. The boot runs very narrow and small. Normally, I am a size 6. Very rarely do I ever need to go larger. I read all the review and tried a half size larger at 6.5 and it was way too small and tight, my feet hurt just putting them on. I returned the boots to Zappos and ordered a size 7. At a full size larger than my normal size 6, the size 7s fit perfectly. Hopefully, they will keep my feet warm too!

These are the most comfortable boots and keep my feet warm in our cold weather! Love them!!!

As other viewers suggested, I went up a half size and am very pleased with the fit! They are adorable and feel great on. Excellent purchase for my once/year week of snow!

I love these boots! They fit well and are warm but stylish. I can wear them all day and walk for blocks without a problem. I highly recommend.

I wear a 7 and purchased a 7 and they were perfect. Was able to wear thick socks with no problem. Kept my feet warm in the snow. Comfortable to wear all day and very stylish. Received several compliments.

OK, here's the deal with these boots - not too much lining for warmth, but very cute and waterproof. They are a good fit and not as clunky as the ones with felt liners - but, not as warm either. The first pair I ordered had a wierd spot that cut into my foot when walking. Sooooo, I ordered the same pair again and they are perfect...so, I am returning the first pair. Overall, like these, just need to wear warm socks and put in a thicker footbed!

These are very functional and super cute. I found them to run large so I sized down a half-size. I have other boots but none of them had enough traction to keep me from slipping on the ice but these do the job! I bought them specifically to wear on icy days and they look great over a pair of leggings.

So, reading the reviews I ordered a half size up...while they were comfortable, they left me wondering how my true size would feel. With Zappos being Zappos, I just ordered another to see. My true size was perfect! Both thick and thin socks were fine. I also did not find any issue with the width. So, I’m returning the 8.5 and sticking with the 8. I really love everything about these boots!

I bought these before I went to Alaska in February for a month, and I am really glad I did. They kept my feet dry and warm in the snow and ice, including a couple snow-shoeing ventures. They would get somewhat uncomfortable due to some folds in the fabric if I was wearing them for more than a couple hours at a time.Not having a zipper to easily get on and off was kind of a hassle, but I knew that when I bought them.

I wear a size 10 normally, and took the advice of the reviews and ordered up. The 10.5 was still too small, but the 11 fit perfectly. These are the lightest Sorels I’ve ever picked up, but they still maintain the warmth when wearing them in the snow. It’s hovering around 0 degrees F in Chicago this week and these have been perfect. They also seem to have good soles that don’t slip easily on ice. Highly recommend, just order up a full size!

Just bought these boots after doing some research. They arrived quickly, look great, are comfortable and arme warm. Because you tie them it is easy to put them on and take them off. I wear them with pants and with a skirt, and I think it looks great. The faux fur is not too overwhelming but keeps you warm. Waterproof and easy to wipe off spots. I am glad I bought them and would buy them again.

I am so happy with these boots! I have very bad circulation and once my feet are cold they won't warm back up. I also live in the North East, so my winter boots have to be warm. I spent days researching and reading reviews on many brands and found Sorel to be one of the most liked. I have never worn Sorel before so I was a bit nervous, especially about my calves fitting. I am a 7.5 and wanted to order an 8, but they were sold out. I was desperate for boots though and ordered an 8.5. With wool socks, they are the perfect fit. Very adjustable on the calf and super warm! I wore them on a windy 15 degree day and my feet never got cold. I haven't had much of a chance to test them in the snow, but so far they are great boots and have exceeded my expectations. I would recommend only going a half size up if you're not planning on wearing thick socks.
