Got these for my son and he loves them! I didn't know at first they were "weatherized" making them warmer than the average Vans shoe, making them ideal for my son to get through NYC winters. I liked them so much I got him another pair in another color. I will say the other pair did have some quality issues though. 2 of the the metal grommets around the shoelace holes came loose, but he is in kindergarten and no shoe is indestructible, i would chalk that up to kids being kids. Overall, great shoe.

Truly water resistant. Go ahead and let your kid play in the rain in these!

I got these shoes for my boys to wear when it rains as they are much more stylish and comfortable for them to wear compared to rain boots. I have to say I was super skeptical about the "waterproofing" of the shoes, especially since they are swede...but I was totally wrong! So far, my kids feet have stayed perfectly dry, even when we went to Disneyland all day in the rain (and my littlest walks through every puddle he sees). I was so impressed that I asked for my own pair of MTE for Christmas. Thank you Zappos as always for the super fast shipping!

Really cute shoes and my preschooler LOVES them. My only concern right off the bat is that they are hard to put on. You really have to pull hard on the tongue to get the opening wide enough to get a foot in. It is enough of an inconvenience that I was going to return them right away, but my little guy begged me not to send them back, so I guess we will just deal with it. Other than that they seem to be pretty nice shoes.

My son has wider feet, so people with children with a more narrow or average foot may disregard my quibble with these shoes. For starters, they're adorable. They're warm, supportive, and attractive. I like skater style; my teens were spent in the grunge years. I researched this high top in other locations and a lot of people were saying that they ran a size larger. I'm glad I went with my gut and ordered up a half size from what he currently wears. There's no way my son would make it through the season with them any smaller than what they are right now. I don't know if that runs true for other models of Vans, and like I said, my son is a special case with his wider than average feet. Over all, the construction seems decent and I sincerely hope they hold up. Love the gum sole - should be easier to keep looking fresh than the white sole of your average gym shoe. Hope this helps!

Loved the color and style. Love the idea of a drawstring elastic cord, but the elastic is very strong and not very stretchable. It isn’t long enough to stretch out enough for my kids to put their feet in either. My 6yo couldnt even get them on her feet. My 8yo got it on his feet after a long struggle, but it was narrow and uncomfortable.

Love Vans and have been wearing them since the 80s. So it was a no brainer that I would put my own sons in Vans, as well. They have several pairs and I bought these for them, as well. I loved the style, look, colors, everything...until we actually got them and put them on. They were hard as heck to put on my twin sons feet. One twin has narrow feet, and the other wide, and both of them had issues. So, back they went
