Usually wear 6.5-7 so I ordered these in 7 in black suede to wear with cold weather socks. Fit is very comfortable, well crafted shoes. Only wish it hugged around the ankles more for a sleeker look.

Beautiful quality boots, the reason I'm returning them is that they're a bit narrow in the toe box for my feet.

I wear a perfect size 7M with no foot problems, and these simple, flat, classic ankle boots in the black leather 7M were comfortable straight out of the box. They are easy to get on and off--no shoehorn needed. I can wear them either with thin trouser socks, with tights, or with my medium-weight (not chunky) wool socks. I bought them to wear with slacks and jeans in my snowy, icy upstate NY area. They can be worn with tights, too, and look nice with casual skirted outfits. There is no extra room in these boots; they fit me well but like a glove. These elegant, beautiful, high-quality boots are expensive, but I intend to take good care of them and keep them for years to come.

Perfect everyday style and comfort. I bought the Sophie in black suede in a size 6.5 (37). The fit is remarkable; true to size, roomy yet sleek. This bootie is actually way cuter and delicate in person. I love the almond shape toe, the deep black suede, and the classic look. I was hesitating between the Jillian and the Sophie, and I found the Sophie will last longer in terms of style. Since these shoes are priced to last ($$$) I decided to opt for the classic look. The quality of the material and the construction seems to be aligned with what I was expecting from La Canadienne. With proper protection, I believe this shoe will last through a New England city winter. I'm so happy with my purchase!

Really cute boots. They were a little narrow for my feet. Very sad to have to return these. La Canadienne has great styles and workmanship.

I got these as a Christmas present, so I wanted to wait to review them. Great style for a simple dressier bootie. Runs narrow as do most La Canadienne boots. The suede makes it very comfortable. Easy to walk in. Easy to get into since the zipper goes down so far. A light weight bootie.

This is my second pair of La Canadienne Sophie ankle boots. I wear a USA size 7 Medium, and the 7M fits me perfectly in both the black calfskin and my new pair, the black suede. I wore the black calfskin so often over the past year that I felt I needed a second pair--got the suede just to have something a little different. These boots are comfortable out of the box. The flat heels make them very practical for walking, and the simple, elegant style looks nice with jeans, velvet jeans, or dressier slacks. The laCanadienne website says their boots are guaranteed waterproof for six months. These boots are pricey, but well-worth it if you live in a cold-weather climate as I do.

I love the look of these boots. I love LaCanadienne boots. I ordered these as they have low heels which are comfortable for my back. But when I received these boots I looked at the bottom and they are completely smooth. I live in Wisconsin where winters are both snowy and icy, these boots with no grip at all would have left me flat on my back or bottom if I wore them outside. They look great but are definitely not designed for winter-like climates. Oh, and they run both wide and long.

These run large and I did feel enough arch support. They did not look attractive in a large size. May look better in a smaller size.
