I have owned 2 pairs of these before. Adored them. These are NOT the same. Feel fake. Doesn't even feel like real leather. I am SO BUMMED.

Incredibly comfortable boots from day 1! I was looking for fashionable combat boots and had originally went for Dr Martens. Tried out several styles and simply couldn't get over the clunkiness, the discomfort, and the need to "break the shoe in". I then came across La Canadienne Clair. I liked the style but was hesitant on the width, since I have wide feet and have always gone for La Canadienne Wide (This is my 4th pair). I'm between 7.5 and 8 but ordered an 8. The fit was perfect. The width is a bit tighter for me, but I tried the trick of blow-dry the boots while wearing with thick socks. After blow-drying for 2 minutes and cooling, it was perfect fit. I wore it the next day, all day, without any discomfort. The insole feels cushiony soft. It is not cheap, but well worth the price!

These did not feel anywhere close to the usual quality of La Canadienne, a brand I've been devoted to for 15 years. The soles felt cheap and glued to the uppers, rather than stitched. The boots also arrived in a plain unmarked cardboard box which made these feel even more like knockoffs than the "real thing."

I bought the La Canadienne Clair in size 12 M. I've had so little success finding a comfy boot that would fit my miserable neuropic feet with a right foot that is even a little bigger than the left. They are more than perfect and I would splurge on more pairs if they came in Red, Brown, or Navy. There is plenty of room for my arch supports. These boots have extremely soft lining that is a type of black fleece that is bonded somehow to the leather. The heel is just the right height and I love the ankle support. I have rather thick legs, so I am delighted top see that the bands with two buckles at the top fit me just fine on the last hole. I know they will look great with anything from jeans to dresses so they will be my favorite "go-to" book through the fall and winter months in Connecticut. I am now a fan of this brand and I will always search to see when there is a size 12 available (as normally they make shoes and boots through size 11). They are well worth the money and I highly recommend La Canadienne's Clair.

This is a nice boots IF it is about or less than $200. The design with tall shaft looks cool, well made, but the quality do not match the hefty price. I don't like the microfiber lining because it may not last long. At this price point, I want more high-quality looking leather but this doesn't look so. As for fit, I ordered my usual size 8.5, my bigger left foot feels it slightly tight around the toe arch and lengthwise. After several wears, it may be OK, but not quite sure it has enough room to grow because the leather already feel very soft. My smaller right foot fits fine. So I may go up half size to wear these with socks. The leather is soft, style is nice, but overall, it's just way too expensive and did not impress me. I could find two pairs or even three pairs of boots of about the equal or maybe slight less quality and style from other brands. So I decided to return these, and find another pair somewhere else. It does not look sturdy enough for severe weather winter that requires waterproof boots, and does not fit my bill for a stylish combat boots that I can wear in town.

I love this feminine version combat bat. Very comfortable. Expensive but worth it.

These are my third LaCanadienne boots. Although a bit pricey they are worth it. These boots are not heavy and are very well constructed. Beautifully made, they are meant to last years. I cant wait to wear them when the weather gets cooler. I've had boots that look like these in previous years and nothing comes close to the quality. I even wear my other two LaCanadienne boots without socks (when it snows or rains) and my feet have always remained dry and warm. Highly recommend.

I have held off purchasing these for a year...price was more than I wanted to send...but these are perfect. perfect! honestly the only boot Ill ever need !!

Great, substantial boot but the toe box is a bit long. Order a half size smaller than your usual.

Trendy combat boot that is both comfortable and water proof. I love the side buckles! Very cool!

These are exactly what I wanted for fall skirts and skinny jeans. A little tough, but flattering and comfortable. They’re comfortable immediately, easy to adjust, and well made.

These aren’t cheap, but they’re worth it. Aside from superior quality, what I love about them is that they’re decidedly combat boot style, but neither heavy-feeling nor clunky-looking. That’s a hard balance to strike, but these boots have it right.

The best combat boots I've ever seen. Super soft, comfortable and very good looking. It might be one of the best pair of shoes in my life.

These boots are fabulous! I wore them for the first time on a long flight and did a lot of airport walking. 14 hours later they still felt great because they are so light and comfortable. It's easy to tuck in skinny jeans or leggings because of the adjustable laces. My first pair of La Canadienne and since they have so many awesome styles it won't be my last. The boot is beautiful. However, the boot is definitely not medium width. My daughter has narrow feet and wears US 8 M or EU 38 usually. The 8 M was not only a bit tight in the width but felt about half size smaller compared to La Canadienne Carolina, which she has and loves. Given the choice, she preferred the dark brown suede and style of the Carolina, so we will return this boot. It is much lighter than the Carolina, which is a heavier duty boot than the Clair.

the boot I received seems that it has been tried a lot, you can tell from the leather , it has a lot of folds and no paper inside the boots. It seems the one I received was on the display floor.

let me say i had to return these because they were too large lengthwise. i usually wear a 7.5, or 38 boot, but ordered a size 8 for some reason, and they are too big. i may replace them with 7.5's, but have a few concerns about the boot in general. first, at this price point, these boots should be stitched, not glued at the joining of upper with sole; second, i would think they should be leather lined and have a more cushy footbed. that being said, they were not uncomfortable and i have other la canadiennes with microfiber and wool footbed and they are ok, not as comfortable as some others, but wearable all day. the shaft height is excellent as is the lug traction sole. rather boring, but pretty. may end up with them after all, but still ooking for now.

I LOVE these boots! I can (almost) wear them with anything. They are so comfortable and being La Canadienne, I know I will be able to enjoy them for a long time!

These boots are beautiful and feel well made. I have high arches and had to add some support so I didn’t feel like I was collapsing inward all the time. They are a nice height for skirts or jeans. The style is refined for a combat boot, but still chunky enough to be fun. Looking forward to wearing them for a long time!

Love this boot. The price stings but I’m hoping this boot will last many years since I wear my boots til they fall apart. It feels very well made but only time will tell on how they hold up.

I hesitated due to the price, but I was looking for a waterproof motorcycle boot and finally gave in. I LOVE THESE BOOTS! They are SO comfortable. They have the combat style but are form fitting and feminine on my feet. I don't think I will wear them on my annual trip to Sturgis because I really don't want to ruin them riding through the torrential rains we sometimes encounter. I purchased a pair of Clarks waterproof boots for the trip. The price was a little painful, but totally worth it.

I have had these for 5 years and they remain one of my favorite pairs of shoes. Unfortunately, the hefty price tag did not live up to the quality. I have had the soles replaced more than once due to wear on tough city streets. The interior lining is beginning to shred and the interior soles are thin, requiring the addition of an insole which compromises the fit. I had hoped to have these shoes for many more years. The style is unrivaled! Quality slipping, La Canadienne!
