Tag inside the jeans clearly says "low rise" and they most certainly are! Text on Zappos.com says mid-rise. :( Otherwise, a nice soft demin, nice pocket design (cool but not eye catching or distracting), and the stitching doesn't contrast too much like so many other manufacturers. Not sure if I'm returning or not as I prefer mid-rise jeans.

Warning....These are very much low rise jeans. I'm 5'6, 116 and if I'm even remotely bent over or sitting, there's some major butt showing. Not at all a mid-rise in size 4.
