According to the size questionnaire, medium should have fit my son. The underarms looked tight. Definitely no layers underneath. The large was too big. However, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. My son just did not like the texture and feel of the fleece. A quality product, but just didn't work for us.

very solid fleece jacket for boys or girls. easily can last all winter in Colorado. TNF logo can be seen from far away (depending on if you like that or not). realize it still pales in features and warmth to the adult version of denali.

Each year I purchase I new jacket for my son, this is the first time that he complained about the fit around the sleeves. Also the material doesn't appear to be the same. He LOVES the gloves!!

This coat wasn't our 1st purchase. I originally ordered a custom Denali for my son, he enjoyed picking everything out! Time went by and I called customer service-kept getting strange and random reason as to why it wasn't ready. Finally, it was suggested that I should be refunded, because they really didn't know what was going on with it. Blah Blah Blah, we settled on this coat, my son seems to like it, he's just disappointed in the color and I'm disappointed in everything that lead up to it!

The North Face Denali fleece is great, except the fleece I ordered is not what is pictured. The Northface symbol on the jacket is grey, not red like it the picture. It's not a big deal, but you can't even see if on the actually jacket.

I bought this jacket as a gift for an 8 year old and he loves it! Wears it everywhere, fits great looks good and excellent quality!

When I received my jacket, all the reds matched except the logo. I had specified that the reds be the same red or so I thought. When I looked at the enclosed form, it had all the same except the logo was red/orange. It really looks orange with the other red. I called the company to see if the logo could be embroidered over & was told I could try to dye it myself. That would be impossible & ruin the jacket. I couldn't find a copy of my original order, but was told that they had done it by my specs. I would have thought someone would have questioned it since every other red was the same. All it would have taken was a phone call to check with me before it was finished. My grandson will wear this jacket, but I will not be completely satisfied with it because of the logo color.

Zipper broke after 77 days. Teeth were falling off everytime you zipped it. North Face would not replace the product. They want me to pay to have it shipped to them so they can repair it. Will never buy from them again! Worse customer service and they don't stand behind the product they make.
