Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
A solid jacket!
What I like:
Has kept me warm in below-freezing temperatures. Nice and light. Interior of hand pockets is lined in fleecy-fuzzy goodness. I have hips and the zipper isn't straining at the bottom when I walk. The jacket is very light in weight but insulates well. It's not particularly puffy, but it's still quite comfy to sit on (the bus is more tolerable!). The hood has drawstrings and you can actually adjust them. It dries pretty quickly (wore it in a downpour - it was bone dry after 2 hours). The elastic inset cuffs are soft and do their job.
Things I didn't really like:
I'm still uncomfortably warm when I wear this while moving around. If you walk briskly for 2 miles, you're going to be a little sweaty (but doesn't seem to be as bad as my old puffy coat). The color - I got it in Chianti - is kinda meh. It's not quite as bright as the pictures made it seem. So yeah, it's actually Chianti-colored.
What you might want to know:
Washing instructions are machine wash cold, tumble dry low. The opening to the inner zip pocket is 6 inches in size (my iPhone 5 fits with plenty of extra space). Jacket was made in China. The hood is not removable.
Sizing:
I usually wear a small and I went with a small-sized jacket. There's room for my bulkiest sweater under here, but it also fits just fine with a thin layer.
