This is the first time in all the years that I have been ordering from Zappos that I have received shoes that were defective.The toe of one shoe had some scratches and the other shoe had the velcro on the strap almost off. Very disappointed. Don't know how they fit because we never tried it on after taking them after the box and seeing the shape they were in.

These shoes were a perfect fit for my little girl for a party. I only gave a 4 because I wish they were not so plain! However, quality, sizing, and color are perfect!

Beautiful, traditional and functional. We were so happy to find a leather pair of dress shoes that still provided comfort, stability and beauty! Umi is in a class of it's own!

We love Umi shoes. We have the Umi Kids Ria in gold and they are a favorite. I got the black patent leather ones but the toe box is too stiff and tight for her to wear with socks or tights, and my 4 year old won't put them on, so we can't break them in. We tried going up a size but it was huge. Love these shoes and will definitely come back, hence the high rating, just wanted to give some feedback on this pair.

My daughter is 8, and the mary janes we've always worn (Pediped and Primigi) were just a little to "young" for her taste now. I need a good, comfortable daily shoe that will go with everything. Right out of the box, she loved these, and the style was right for her! I may get the Pink. I'm a fan of the real leather.

The shoes arrived in excellent condition and fit my daughter perfectly. She needed a pair of Mary Janes for school that looked more mature for her age group, and these fit the bill. She tried them on and said they were comfortable.

My daughter tried 5 pairs of shoes before she agreed that the Umi Ria II was a keeper. This shoe is more delicate than many Mary Janes and fits better than slip ons so it worked quite well for her concerts.

These shoes are a good true to size comfortable fit. They are perfect for play and dress. My little girl is very girly in dress, but plays like the best of them. These shoes are the go-to pair for what ever we get ourselves into. Buy these shoes!

I bought these shoes for a school uniform. My daughter wears a toddler 6, and after reading reviews that it ran somewhat small, I ordered a 7. It fit fine without socks or tights, but that is a uniform requirement, so I had to order a size 8. My daughter's feet are pretty narrow

These are a good pair of shoes. My daughter wears them with her school uniform five days a week, so they get a lot of wear and tear. Unlike other patent leather shoes, when they get scratched (and playing out on the playground they do get scratched) they do not peel or crack. A wet towel seems to do the job for getting off most of the mud or other gunk that gets on the shoes from daily wear. We have never had a blister or complaints of the shoes being uncomfortable. The only reason I didn't give the shoes "five stars" is that we've had the shoes since September and now it is mid-November and they are starting to look a little worn. I had hoped we could at least get through Winter Break before we had to buy another pair. But other than that, these have been a really good pair of shoes.

I love the Umi brand for my daughter and these are cute, well-made shoes. However, these didn't make the cut for us - she is currently wearing a size 5 in two other Umi styles (a sandal and a sneaker), but the 5.5 in this style was too small. I think that Umi shoes tend to run narrow in general, but these were also narrower than expected.

We purchased the black leather version of these this past winter for my 5 yo daughter's school uniform. They held up remarkably well, so we purchased the patent leather version for this fall. I'll update the post if it doesn't go well!

My daughter complained about the shoes being too stiff and hard. I thought that she was exaggerating so I made her wear them to school anyway. The next morning she begged and pleaded not to wear them again. She said they made her feet hurt really badly. I felt awful.

Pretty shoe to dress up or wear casual. However, runs incredibly small. Had to return it.
