Finally! I have found an asics brand cross trainer that works. As a fitness instructor, and like most fitness enthusiasts, I am super picky about how my shoe fits and performs. This is the perfect shoe for step aerobics, high impact plyometric moves, lateral cardio moves and general weight training. Please Zappos add a few colors. I will order every one of them.

I was disappointed to have to return these. There wasn't enough support or cushion. It felt like there was cardboard separating my foot from the floor. They were really cute.

I needed shoes for exercising for the first time in years and I dreaded it as I have a very difficult time with shoes. My big toe is my longest toe, so it always gets squished since most toe boxes are rounded. I also have a very narrow foot and heel. When working out and putting pressure on the front of my foot, this gets even more painful. This is my first pair of Asics and I am so so glad I found them. My toes are comfortable, there is plenty of cushion and support, and I love the light gray and yellow. I would highly recommend these shoes!

These are great cross trainers that I use for Boot Camp classes, resistance classes, and weights. I have had planter fasciitis issues, and sometimes still have trouble when I'm doing jumping jacks and anything moving side to side, but I have no issues with these shoes. I do not use them for running, I have different shoes for that.

I got them yesterday. They felt very comfortable right out of the box so I went to workout. They were very supportive for any kind of movements especially jumping up and down. They look very bulky but actually they are light. I also love the color combination.

This shoe is slightly clunky, but very comfortable and supportive for lots of movement.

No break in required, comfortable right out of the box. I normally wear size 8-8.5 in street shoes and always size up in workout shoes. I ordered a size 9 and they feel great!

Pretty good! I was looking for new cross-trainers under $100 -- something that would make me feel supported during intense cardio, but would still be relatively flat (ish) for weight-training. These seem to do the trick. They aren't, like, mind-blowing or anything, but they fit well and I don't really notice them at the gym -- I guess that's actually a pretty good endorsement, now that I think about it. I got these in a 10 even though I usually have to wear an 11, or a 10.5 minimum, so I can't explain that.

I love this shoe because it's lighter than a typical running shoe but it just as comfortable. It is easier to move in when training than a bulky shoe. Def. get a 1/2 size up! Love, Love, Love Asics!

It was time to order some new running shoes, and I'm a long term Asics customer. I don't have plans to train for any big running races (half marathons, etc), so I looked for a shoe that provides decent support and was under $75 as I like to do a lot of workout classes. So far, so good.
The laces are a little bright, but not overwhelming. The bottom of the shoe does have that wider white strip which I typically don't love, but the price was right so I ignored that.

Asics are my go to brand. Make sure you order a half-size up than what you normally wear.
I'd also recommend:

Great shoes. I've been wearing ASICS for years now and couldn't be happier. I do order a half size larger in these shoes than what I would normally wear. I love the colors (light grey and pale yellow).

These shoes are great. I am normally a solid size 6 1/2. My toes are a little close to the end of the shoe and I probably could have ordered a 7, but after wearing them a couple times they stretched out slightly and fit perfect. Very comfortable and good support.

I'm really happy with these trainers. I do a wide variety of activities, from weight training to kickboxing to cross training, and these are very comfortable and have great support.

For cross-training shoes under $75, these are a steal. However, the arch support is severely lacking. I wouldn't say it's necessarily zero but very minimal. And be warned, the insole cannot be removed. Luckily, it is thin enough for me to put a 3/4 Dr. Scholl's insert in; otherwise, these would have been returned. I usually wear a 6.5 to 7 and ordered a 7 which gives me enough wiggle room for my toes but isn't too loose either. (I do use the special anti-heel slip lacing method though because otherwise these would slip.) These shoes seem to provide enough stability and support for my at-home circuit training/HIIIT workouts and don't squeeze my toes like a lot of workout shoes do.

They are OK. A little bit narrow in the toe. Otherwise good. I might try a wide width next time.

I'm a long-time Asics running shoe fan so when I needed cross-trainers they seemed the logical choice. Unfortunately, these shoes did not work out at all. They were oddly small, something I have not encountered in Asics before but which required me to go up a half-size, which would have been fine but it did not fix the other issues: they are so wide my feet felt flat and spread out in them. Very odd. Most significantly, they lacked support to the point I could not do any cardio/tabata without my knees screaming. Still love Asics for running but they fall short on the cross-training scale.

One woman put it well in her review of this style on another website: clown shoes. Very comfy tho! But I felt like I had platforms strapped to the bottoms of the shoes. Hilarious. Going back.
