I love Columbia and being from Oregon I always support the company. I love the fit of this jacket and the design. That said, I think for the money it should be a bit warmer. This coat works well in colder weather when used with layering but I think it could be made warmer without jacking the price. I would recommend the jacket but not as a true cold-weather garment. I will also say that I truly like the one I purchased and works well for winter in southern California but not up to par for winter back in the Oregon homeland from whence I sprang. Still love Columbia!!

great coat. not bulky at all but plenty warm. zip it up all of the way and let your own body heat warm you up.

I bought this jacket for my son and it definitely runs big. I bought a medium and had to exchange it for a smaller size. It's a great coat for cold weather.

Not as much insulation in this jacket as compared to a similar one purchased several years ago. Disappointing!

This jacket is for temperatures not lower than 25-30 degrees. It's cold and not comfortable. Not for snowy weather, it gets wet.

I bought this jacket because its labeled as one of columbias warmest jackets, however Its only been in the 20's in new york so far and I freeze in this jacket. Other than that, its a good fitting jacket and looks really nice.

When I first purchased this coat I really liked it. It is very warm for it's weight and fits well however the zippers started snagging and eventually tore holes in the coat. It too the point now that I can't wear it.

Less insulation than ideal but solidly made. Warm if you are exercising.

Two weeks into owning this coat I would have given it a 10/10. Incredibly warm for being so light, and the fit was exactly what I was looking for. I love Columbia products, I think I have every color of their Thistletown Park Crew and I believe as long they don't change I will buy Columbia boots for the rest of my hiking life. This jacket though began to puncture quite easily when exposed to subzero temperatures. I did not notice at the time, but when I went to take the jacket off I had several (5+) different small holes where fluff was coming out. In extreme cold the outer material becomes very brittle and easily snags on anything. I thought I had found my favorite coat, but in a mere couple months I already need to purchase another one. If you are looking to use this coat for more than a casual night out in moderate temperature (20F plus) then I would NOT recommend this coat!

I thought this was going to be "the one" however after trying on, the Turbo Down appeared to be coming out in several areas, not a lot, but enough to notice after taking it off and looking at it. It was very warm but I returned as was concerned with the amount of down that had come through the shell in the short amount of time wearing.

This coat is true to size and nice looking. The problem is no matter what my husband wears under it, it is completely covered in small white particles and feathers. I realize this had down it it, but the amount coming thru onto his shirts is excessive. Not happy, you need a lint roller after every wear!

I commute to NYC everyday. Since this jacket is down insulated with great reviews, i ordered this jacket at high price. I thought this alone will keep me warm from regular winter along my commute. But, warm from this jacket is not enough and I rate this jacket as a Mid weight jacket. Another layer inside this will be good enough for severe winters as well.
I dont want to bee too negative about columbia. The size M fits perfect. It's cozy inside and pockets. It's very very smooth on the outside. I loved it.
Unfortunately, I have to spend some more money to buy a fleece to get through this winter. I hope columbia rates their jackets with categories like Light weight, Mid weight and Heave weight.

The jacket is not warm enough even it is stated as turbo down. It also runs a little large. I am 5' 8'' and wear M size usually for all other brands but columbia M size runs a little large for me and S goes on the tighter side.
This is an average jacket with nothing special as such. Would not recommend it.

I felt like it was really thin. No actual puff even though it was a down jacket. Actually disappointed because it said true to size and it was a little bigger whoch makes a weird fit. Making it fuller would of enhanced the produxt value.

This is the first down jacket I have owned, so I may have too high of expectations. A good thing is that it is very warm, however I have only worn my jacket for about a week and I feel like I have been in a fight with chickens every time I put it on or take it off. Feathers are constantly coming out of the outside and when I take it off they are all over my shirt. I am concerned for how long the jacket will stay warm if the feathers continue to shed.

I bought this jacket based largely on the reviews. I needed a good 3-season down jacket that could hold up against colder temperatures but this is not the jacket. The fit is generally good, but the hood does not have a draw string and the cuffs are loose with no way to make them tighter. Additional layering is needed when wearing this jacket. It is very thin and light with a minuscule amount of down insulation. And I'm not sure what the reflective material actually does. For the price I paid for this jacket it should be much warmer.

I bought this for my husband recently, as I have absolutely loved my Columbia jackets in the past. However, now that winter is here and he's been wearing the coat, he's complained that it isnt warm at all, and the wind cuts right through it. He even wears it over top of another Columbia jacket he has just to stay warm. It makes me think something must be wrong with the jacket! I wore it to take the dog out on a chilly morning and confirmed that it is not warm AT ALL. So bummed.

This coat was purchased for my son and is true to size. The loft is very low, so I wouldn't recommend this for a cold weather jacket. My son needs to wear multiple warm layers under this jacket to use it skiing. (in the east) I would only recommend this coat if you are using it in areas where it doesn't get too cold in the winter. (20 degrees & above)

This jacket is not a winter jacket. It's more like a fall jacket. It's too thin! No padding. Nice jacket but not what I wanted which was a winter jacket

This jacket is not enough for NY peak winter and that is why I bought it. Everything is great (color, size, fitting etc) but not thick enough to block cold. I have to wear 2 more layers and then this.
I will return it and look for another one - maybe 3 in 1 interchange ones.

On the description it has "winter" if you are looking for a "winter" coat, this is not the one. Great for fall weather or temp at 45 or above. Nothing below 40's. Bought this for my teenage son who is "never" cold. Lol. Well, he told me this will not work for the winter. We were at a football game, he wore this under a winter coat. Took long to receive as well. Very disappointed
