I ordered the same size as my other pair of Columbia shoes (which are winter boots) and was worried that I ordered a size too small after reading the reviews but mine ended up fitting perfectly! I normally wear a 7.5 to an 8 depending on the brand and ordered an 8. I will admit when I first put them on I thought they may be a tad too small but after lacing them up they fit fine with both thin and thick socks.

I can wear anything from a size 7 (sandal) to a size 8 (with thicker socks) depending on the shoe and what I use it for. Since this is a hiking boot, I chose size 8 and it fit me perfectly. It had a nice toe box and I would have chosen this hiking boot, except it had no arch support. I was trying it on along with the Teva Ahnu, and compared to their arch support (I kept those!) I had to return these!

I knew it wasn't true to size so I went for one full size larger than I would normally have bought and it fits like a glove. This is the second pair I buy, I hiked the Inca trail as well as many many other trails with the first one, and LOVED IT. They are super light, which is awesome when you travel, very strong, and breathable. The soles wore out eventually and I decided to go with a new pair after 3 years. So they probably don't last as long as a more expensive -and heavy- pair of hiking shoes, but to me, they did a great job for the price I paid. They are also waterproof, which is a very good thing when you hike several days in a row in the rain!

Have I mentioned how much I love these boots?! I still wear them in all sorts of foul weather AND I look cute doing it! These are NOT something you want to go on an all-day hike in or wear backpacking or anything, and I did put my custom insoles in (they needed more arch support for me).

I wore this shoe for some light hiking in Yosemite and it was waterproof as promised. I wear a size 11.5, but as this one doesn't come in an 11.5, I bought a 12 and wore a thick pair of hiking socks. Surprisingly, they don't look like clown boots on my big feet, and are actually kind of cute. Very comfy and light. Ample room in the toe box, and not only because I got the larger size. I read other reviews of the low version of this shoe which said the toe box was small. I did not find this to be the case in this style. I will invest in a good arch support since the arch support is moderate at best. The sole is very flexible and the shoe is not heavy-duty, but it is appropriate for moderate hiking.

I love the look of these hiking boots. They have a hip urban exploration feel which I really adore. They do run small, however. I had to go up a full size in order to get them to fit. I usually wear a wide shoe and these were juuuuuuuuust wide enough to accommodate my foot without feeling too snug. I also wear an orthotic insert and was able to get them into the shoe without a problem. I did notice that the insoles that come with the boot offer almost not arch support. Overall, I really like these shoes and I think they'll do a great job of keeping my feet dry and comfy during long walks.

These are just what I wanted! A stylish and functional boot to walk the dog in gross weather, moderate hikes up to a few miles in the woods (nothing technical), running errands in sloppy wet and snowy conditions and my feet stay DRY and happy! PLUS they are fun and TURQUOISE - not boring brown boots!
DISCLAIMER: I wear orthotics, and I wear them in all my shoes (I have very high arches). IF I did not wear them in these shoes, I would probably buy a nice supportive insole from REI or something as the insoles that came with these were not great for me.

Columbia Fire Venture Mid Waterproof flexible sole, good fit with one size up. The front is perfect but to stiff around my ankles. Probably with exchange them.

Nice looking boot. They were comfortable but felt to me like there was no arch support at all compared to other hikers I have purchased. I will keep looking.

Super lightweight and comfortable! They don't look big or clunky but they feel very supportive. I had plenty of room for my sports orthotics and immediately felt like running up a mountain. If you don't need heavy hiking boots, these are a great choice.

These are a bit more orange than they appear on the website (I think).
Like all Columbia boots, I had to order a half size larger, and they fit fine.
They are not "cute," but they make my feet look a little smaller, and the color is definitely fun.
I will need to buy a good arch-supporting insole to replace the existing one. There's just a very modest amount of arch support in here.

These were just not the right shape for my feet, and not enough arch support.
These would work best for short and wide feet.

Out of the three pair of hiking boots ordered, this one was much shorter on my larger foot. My left foot is a full size longer than the right, and my toe hit the end of this boot...so I must send it back. Otherwise...it appeared to be a terrific boot.

This shoe ran small. I normally wear a 8.5-9 and would have needed a 9.5. I ended up going with a different shoe that was more flexible/breathable (yet still waterproof)

I was looking for a mid rise hiking boot but these are more like a heavy duty sneaker, just not enough sturdiness and support for me.
