Best hat for the style. Can't go wrong with it.

My husband loves this hat. It's comfortable, looks great and keeps his bald head warm!

This hat really is the best, but that's expected with one of the best brands out there!

Comfy hat, but makes my head look too round

A nice touque that fits a large head. I like that it completely covers my ears and that it's warm to about -10C. I've added a smartwoot beanie under this touque and have been comfortable to -15C (the lowest temperature I've experienced so far this winter). A keeper.

Very warm, and smooth fabric. Not itchy at all. A little on the bigger side for sizing

I got one of these as a gift several years ago, and I've really loved it, for the most part. I think the fit and style is great, because you can make it work for your own features. However the color and heather-style knit has never been right for me. I am BEGGING you to make this exact hat in, simply, BLACK. Or, at least a dark gray? This is a good hat, but it could be simpler, more elegant and adaptable, and that would make it the best hat ever.

Functional wool cap of mid-weight. Most would think it large enough, but I would like just a little more length to thoroughly cover ears. I'll use it in combo with a lighter wool underneath, when I need more warmth. This will be great for chilly spring days. I especially wish they had had more colors / prints in this one.

LOVE the knit fabricno pulls or pillssoftwarm. Love the understated logo. Needs a 6 panel stitched top rather than a 4 panel to avoid looking like a Peruvian Guide Hat. With a 6 panel top would look more like a watch cap and fit the skull without lumps and bumps as is the current case. At present it is a tad too big for most folks. No itch wool is awesome. Covered my big head and ears.

Too bad hat stretches out so that is a bit too big. I would have purchased a smaller version if that had been available. I wear this hat for sleeping. I sleep very near an open window and the hat slips off during the night on occasion. Otherwise the hat is perfect weight for my use.

Nice hat, but I had to return because it was a little small for my head. #sweepstakes

This hat keeps my head warm in the cold weather. Not the best when it is windy outside.

This hat is very thick so it keeps your head nice and warm. I wish it was very so slightly smaller as it tends to ride up and give me a "cone head." I don't have a small head (or a large one), hats tend to fit just right on me but this one was a bit big. Still a great quality product!

Nice. Fits well and keeps head warm while material allows it to breathe.

I bought one of these 10 years ago and loved it. Lost it recently so I came for a new one. Hats are now 45% polyester, instead of 100% merino, what a shame!!!!

I've had many different smartwool products over the years and they've always hit the mark....until this one. The hat is very handsome, but too big, maybe a little too breathable, and the long seams on the top of the hat make it flare out in an unflattering way.
Too big - The hat is must be made for bigger noggins than mine because it feels very loose on my head (description says interior headband adds extra warmth and comfort - I don't see any interior headband here). The hat is also very stretchy, great if you have a large head or lots of hair, but makes it feel too big for a normal-sized head with no hair.
Too breathable - No hair means the hat has to work that much harder to keep my head warm. By itself with no breeze and the hat feels warm enough for the 20 degree weather I've tested it in, but any breeze cuts right through it.
Long seams - Any beanie/watchman style hat I've had before has had 6 short seams pointing out from the top of the hat. This has two short and two long. The longer seams are very structured, meaning they don't seem to flex with your head and prefer to keep their shape. The result is when the hat is on your head the seams stick straight out which looks very unflattering.
Keeping it because I cut off the tags before putting it on (not a great idea), but if I had an opportunity to try it on in the store I wouldn't have bought it.

This is a comfortable, breatheable hat best suited for mildly cold climates with no breeze. I went hiking in a cold area and even mild wind went right through the fabric.
