Love the way these look! I've been wearing them for a few weeks and find that they are true to size, but the toe box could be a little higher. Mostly comfortable but press down on my toes a little. I'm on my feet all day and will be buying a more cushioned insert for them. However I find that the quality of all shoes require one to have to buy inserts.

Originally purchased for work (all standing and walking for 8+ hours/day) but I've decided to purchase another pair to replace my current walking/running shoe because they are above my expectations.

I've always worn Asics. I find these comfortable right out of the box. I walked two miles the first time I wore these with no issues.

I've bought many pair of Asics, and they are usually comfortable right out of the box. These are slightly different than the last pair of GT-1000's I bought. The top of the shoe rubs against my ankle bone. The side of the shoe is a little too high and this is rather annoying. I did not send back, hopefully I can break them in.

The shoes are too low (in Earth-to-Sun direction) at the toe. Perhaps 1/2 size bigger will fix that, as the end-of-toe cap is lower than the rest of the toe area. Ordering 1/2 size bigger and hoping it works out!

Very firm! Great for me as an overpronator. Arch support not as good as it could be, but i replaced the insert with my own superfeet arches and they are perfect.

These shoes are the Simple Green of shoes; a basic yet versatile multi-purpose shoe. I have the Black/Black GT-1000s which are great for looking nice at work, walking around an urban area, traversing uneven rural countryside terrain, and running. While there are other shoes out there that provide more cushion and support while running, the versatility of this shoes, fair price, and well-known brand make the ASICSs GT-1000s a great choice for anyone looking for a multi-purpose shoe. As an added note, I am a bigger guy that wears a 13 4E shoe. As anyone with wide feet will tell you, finding quality wide shoes can be a pain. The GT-1000s are a great tool in the wide foot arsenal of shoes.

Loved the pink ones! Ordered a 6 1/2 and a 7 both did not fit right. Had to return both. Disappointed! Love zappos though!

Always wear size 9B in Asics and walking/running shoes in general. These shoes were very short and tight. Had to return the 9s and will try 9.5. Thanks Zappos for great service!!

It's a comfortable shoe for a "flat foot" person, but if you have narrow feet like mine it will feel loose and wiggly.

Nice light shoe for shorter distance running. Good support. Not a lot of cushion but with inserts that solves the problem. Need more color options.

Worst shoes I've ever bought for myself. The front is wide. I got blisters once I started running again, which I've never gotten from running before with any other shoes. I bought new socks to help with the issue, and again more blisters. I wouldn't buy these ever again.

I tried this in two sizes, and both were so small and narrow I could barely cram my foot into it. Seems like there's something wrong with the sizing on this one. I bought something else from Asics.

Way too narrow in the toe box, I had to return it. I had a pair of Asics Gel Nimbus 17s, which I liked. Was trying to be a repeat customer, but will be returning these. I do like that they are all black, soles included. Good for me at work.

I used to wear Asics a lot. I bought Saucony last year and loved those shoes. Just needed a new pair, and these were well-reviewed. But they feel way too snug. And I did order a 1/2 size up (I bought 9's but I normally wear 8 1/2). Maybe my feet are continuing to get bigger as I age? (I am 51). I feel like they are not wide enough in toe box and generally just a bit too snug around my entire foot. I love a shoe that feels solid on my foot...but this was a little too much. I may be done with Asics...and stick with Saucony. I also ordered Brooks Ghost 10's in this order and they feel GREAT. I ordered a 1/2 size up from my normal size & I have plenty of room for my toes in the toe box. Also overall length allows for a little extra room up at the toes...seems like it will be just enough for when I am out taking a long walk and my feet blow up a little. Fingers crossed!

As with the other Asics I have tried, this one runs narrow and small. Rather than my normal 12M, I have had to go to a 12 1/2 D, something I had to do with the Asics Gel Cumulus 18 as well. I will give it a 10 for color, though..really like the mint/orchid combination.

If you used to love Asics, you probably won't love this shoe. The toe box is smaller, so the end of the shoe can press down on the top of your toes. I found this shoe to be the least bad of all the ASICS I tried, even the expensive one. Still, it just wasn't comfortable enough to keep.

It was Ok. The bright colors are fun, if you don't care about matching. Not that comfy out of the box & the backs are too high - rubbed my ankles

Love the GT 1000 4 but this version has more insulation in the toe box or something as they feel very hot when I'm on the treadmill. My feet sweat too much in them. Granted this is Houston, but it was winter!

I purchased a wide width because I need more room in the toe box. Unfortunately, although the shoe did seem wider than normal in the arch area, it still had a very pointy toe box which caused rubbing of my small toe.

These shoes make my feet feel hot while exercising!

A size smaller than most Asics and GT1000-4.

This shoe is very bright! The coral is neon.
