From the moment it arrived and I picked it up, I was in love with the material of this jacket. Finding the right size however, was a tricky journey. Normally I am a medium in most things North Face, but this jacket has an 'Active Fit' instead of the classic 'Relaxed Fit'. The medium is a bit too tight in the hip area, just right in the chest for me, while the large is just right in the hips, but too big in the chest area. I am 5'8", 170lbs, 36B, 10-12 pants. I'm leaning toward the medium because of my intended use, but for thick layering or a loose fit, I would recommend the large.

Loving this jacket so much! I needed a new daily jacket to wear during the San Francisco winter, and this has been perfect! I love the longer length, great for my 6' frame. I wish the hood was bigger, that's about it. A helmet-compatible hood version of this would be PERFECT!

I use it everyday because it's so warm

I think this is my new favorite jacket. The outer material is very hydrophobic; I wore it in the rain today and the raindrops were beading up on it or falling right off, which was pretty cool (I don't see that strong of a hydrophobic effect on even my actual raincoat!). The inner material is super soft and fuzzy, and it keeps me warm, which I love. This jacket is a bit bigger than the other North Face jackets/sweaters I have, which makes it easy to layer underneath. The back goes slightly lower, which I'm sure would be really useful for someone who bikes around a lot. It does seems a little long on me, but I'm short. The hood is a really good size for me, although I do kind of wish there were drawstrings around it so I could tighten it around my head if it's super windy out, but I can't see it being a huge problem because it does fit pretty well. My one small gripe with this jacket is the zipper is kind of hard to initially zip, but it's not a huge deal because I love basically everything else about this jacket. For reference, I'm 5'1" at around 118 pounds, and I got a SM, which fits me quite well.

New FAVORITE coat!! So soft inside and keeps you warm without the bulk. Wore to a windy soccer game and it did a great job!! True to size and flattering shaped fit.

The zipper does not work

There was only one jacket in size small at the North Face store. It fit nicely, but the zipper was a bit of a hassle to work. The medium worked alright, so I ordered one to be shipped to me. My new jacket's zipper is also hard to get working. Sigh. The quality of this item leaves a lot to be desired for the price.

Now that the weather is getting colder, I am wearing this almost everyday. Looks so nice, I even wearing it into the office, with business attire, or can wear it on the weekend with a pair of jeans.

I've never been to a North Face store much less owned a product until I was looking for a jacket for a trip to Iceland. This jacket was perfect for the trip. Comfortable and warm but not too bulky. It kept me dry and protected from the wind and rain. The whole trip I was continually thankful I had brought this jacket. Highly recommended.

It's a light weight jacket that provides such great warmth without feeling bulky! Very stylish for any age!!
