Love the quality but its very small for a Medium. Like you would need to size up if wearing a sweater underneath. Its also longer like below the hip!

I bought this jacket in a medium. I'm 5'3, 133 pounds. The jacket fit ony if I wear a tshirt. Anything thicker I look like a baby seal in a wet suit. I returned the jacket and got a large. It's perfect to wear in the fall with room to layer clothes. I normally wear a xs /s in my clothing tops so I was surprised to find I needed a large in this jacket.

Can we please get some ladies' gear in something other than just black and purple? (And teal, and bright pink.) Why can't we get some nice greens like the men's line comes in? It's ridiculous.

I usually love my NF jackets but this one disappoints. The sleeves need to be an extra inch or 2 longer; most people like to be able to pull sleeves over their hands. It does not hit mid-butt as advertised. It's much shorter and doesn't look or feel right where it lands. It's unflattering with no shape to it; wish it were slim fit. I do love the fleece inside and this was the main aspect that made me buy it. This jacket could be so perfect with these slight changes

I received this as a gift to help keep me warm. My mom had read the reviews and went with it. Stays warm in a semi cold environment. Nothing beyond that.

I searched everywhere for a jacket that fit my criteria and it took a long time because I didn’t settle. This hoodie jacket had every feature that I wanted: water resistance, fleece or faux fur lined for warmth, windproof, relatively lightweight for travel and stylish not baggy fit. It was perfect except for the loud rustling noises it makes when the fabric comes in contact with each other - arm touching torso as you walk or sit. I cannot wear this without rustling sounds that annoy myself, much less people near me. The only place to wear this that would muffle out the loud rustling noises is in the airplane. Sadly it’s a return due to the flaw in choice of material TNF used.

good but 3 of these jackets the right pocket zipper broke the week we got them.

It's warm. It's very tight for an xl though. No way to layer up.

I got the Metropolis coat for winter earlier this season, and size L fits me perfectly. Keeping that in mind, I ordered this jacket in size L. It did not fit right at all. I'm 5'3" and usually wear size M on top and size L on the bottom. The sleeves were way too long and it was tight in hips but loose in chest - a very strange look. Returned.

Feels heavy and bulky.

Not made as well as the one I bought 6 years ago. Same style. It is not white, it is off white.

Very soft and comfortable. Said it was rated very warm (2j but I tested it outside and was chilled to the bone after wearing it for a bit. I went out same night,same temperature with the triclimate which is also rated a (2) and was warm and cozy. So don't trust the rating. Good fall coat, super soft and so wanted to keep it! But need a warm coat so returned it. Customer service at north face is superb!! Will shop here from now on with free returns and great customer service.

Very nice coat & so cozy. This does run very small. Had to order three x's. Order a size up. Can't wait to give to to my daughter for Christmas. Fast shipping.

I like the style of this jacket and wanted to make it work.The large (my fit according to the size chart) was to small. I tried the extra large and I'm swimming in it.

Very nice, love the inside. The sizing runs small, ordered 3 times before getting a size that fight right. It's a Christmas gift

The sleeves, hood, fit, and design were perfect. It keeps out the rain and wind. Unfortunately the fabric feels like it conducts cold rather than insulates you from it. So I was chilled at 45 degrees. Also, the jacket weighed more than I expected.

I love how warm it is and that it has a hood but it is too long on the torso and arms for a petite person. Wish they would come in petite sizing

Love the fit and color of this coat. I was not aware when I purchased it that the sleeves inside were also fleece lined. This makes it harder to slip it on easy without my shirt sleeves bunching up. I returned the coat and found one that did not have fleece lining in the sleeves.

Good jacket - very warm fleece lining for a soft shell but it is crazy heavy. Would mostly just wear this around town rather than take it hiking, skiing, or backpacking because it is way too heavy to carry when you aren't wearing it. Like the color and arms/torso are long enough for people with long arms!

So far I'm fairly impressed. I use this during milder fall and spring weather and it keeps me warm. Please dont make the arm holes any tightertight armholes seems to be a prevalent design problem with north face tops.

Nice and really worm. Sleeves are kind of long then normal. But nice fit

I love the warmth of this jacket and it's so soft on the inside, but the printed on logo is awful. I've taken great care during washing and now less than a year later my jacket is "The Orth Face". The quality was so much better looking when it was embroidered in.

Loved the color and construction. I tried it on wearing a lightweight long sleeve shirt and a Columbia zip up and I couldn't get the coat on. Once I took off the Columbia I tried again. It was so tight in the arms I could barley bend my elbows. I managed to get it zipped and I smooshed my chest like I was wearing a sports bra. Returning. 5'5" 130 lbs and I ordered a medium.

I was gifted this jacket (black color) in the wrong size and got a refund and reordered in correct size. The jacket I sent back was soft shelled "smooth and slick" outside lining and the one I received is "dimpled" and not soft shell smooth appearance anymore. I am very disappointment on this outer appearance. The jacket is no longer water replant either. This change to jacket is not described on website when ordering as the website still shows and has the description of the jacket I returned and wished I could get back!
