I love the Speedcross series however, these are super narrow. Zappos says they are "D" width but they are actually "B." Solomon tends to manufacture very narrow shoes in my experience. I'd love to write more but I had to return them. I started with a 10 1/2 which compressed my feet until they were purple. A size 11 gave me a bunch of heel slip. I was pretty bummed, as I really wanted to own shoes. Now it's back to the darkside - I'm going to Footlocker buy Nike. God help my soul. :)

I run a lot of tough technical trails an also do some adventure races , I have had the 3's in the past [wore them slap out ] went threw several pairs of the 3's . I haven't ran but 50 miles in the 4's an my impressions are a good an the tread wear is a bit better it seems so far. I'll now for sure when I get around the 100 mile mark on them as the 3's wore fairly quick but there shoes that's what they do .

These shoes are perfect for the sandy and rocky envioroment here in the deset of Kuwait!

I bought these shoes for my husband - we typically stick with Salomon for all of our hiking and trail running shoes because they're always great! These shoes are great quality and my husband really liked the colors. He said they felt amazing on our last 6 mile trail run. We ran on gravel, mud, grass, etc and they never looked dirty. Definitely recommend these shoes!

I got my speedcross 4's about a month ago and like always Salomon hit a homerun with these! They are just as comfortable as my Speedcross 3's, maybe a little better. The fit is spot on as always. I've logged around 200 miles in them and have zero complaints.

This is my fourth pair of Salomon Speedcross shoes. My husband purchased a pair a few years ago, and I loved them so much, I ordered some, too. I am a woman's size 8, and ordered a size 7 (men) and they're perfect! Easy on, easy off. I wear them every day to walk the dog, run an errand, or anything that requires indoor/outdoor footwear. I hike in them, and LOVE them when I travel, as I can get them on and off quickly for TSA. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

I use the Salomon snowcross 2 for my winter trail running which is basically a neoprene boot sewn on top of the speedcross, I love that sneaker and find it extremely comfortable. So I purchased this speedcross’ thinking it would be a perfect fit. The sneaker is very comfortable and the quick lacing system is great but I found that my heel was slipping out of the shoe in spite of its dialed in length and width. In my opinion, I don’t think the quick lacing system allows you to anchor your heal down properly. More often then not running shoes will have two holes at the very top which allows the lacing to move further back towards the heel to anchor it, and the salomons pre determined lacing obviously doesn’t allow the differentiation.

These have the best treads I have ever had or seen on a trail running shoe. The treads are quite long, giving good stability. I suspect that they will be ideal in snow. The only problem with these shoes is that after the shoelaces are pulled tight, the ends need to be stuffed into a small pocket at the top of the tongue, which has been somewhat difficult because it is so tight.

I never had Salomon sneakers. Very nice fit and support. Had to order wides even though i typically don't take a wide. Very happy with this purchase.

Bought for my boyfriend as I currently have Salomon Speedcross shoes. He loved them. Comfortable and fit as expected.

These shoes fit great! Yes, they are snug, but I don't see how you get good support if your feet are floating around inside the shoe. Unfortunately, all the shoes I've had in recent memory didn't have a good enough fit and if they'd been as snug as these, would have been painful. So, kudos to Salomon for these, I am very happy with the fit and performance of these shoes. I haven't been running in them because of a knee problem, but ~60 miles of walking and other training and every day wear and they are doing just fine.

I first bought the regular width version and soon discovered they were too narrow. A few miles into my first hike I was in pain. My feet are a little wider than normal feet, but I typically do not buy "wider" shoes. However, I did return the original pair and purchased the wider version. They fit great!

Light weight, look good, feel great, perfect traction up and down hills. These will not disappoint.

First off, I'm not a runner. I use these for light hiking and think they're great. Light as air, good grip in wet or dry. Enough support for a pack with food, water and a rain coat. The sole on the 3s wasn't very durable. The 4s have a new material. Time will tell if its better.

Purchased these for my husband. He loves them. Fit well and true to size.

Husband really likes these. Great for wet trail runs in the PNW. He said his heel slips a bit, but overall thinks they're a really great shoe.

I ordered this shoe for my husband because of the positive experience I've had with my Salomon Speedcross 3 shoes. He's always worn other good supportive athletic shoes/ boots for hiking, biking. When he tried them on for the first time and walked around the house with them all he could say was " Wow,, Wow,, Wow!" . They fit like a glove with plenty of room for his long toes, good arch support and heal fit. Stylish, sleek lines are nice. Now he's in love with Salomon Crossfit 4. Of course I had to order a pair in my size too!

These are my new favorite running shoes. My wife is on her fourth pair and convinved me to try them. I wish i had bought them sooner. They are non-slip, which is very important in Alaska since we have snow/ice on the ground 8 months out of the year. Salomon has a new loyal customer in me.

Great traction and sturdy

I have typically worn Nike running shoes for hiking moderate trails. These are excellent for my needs.I am very happy with them.

Son was desperate for these running shoes! Apparently he has the speedcross 4 Salomon's from prior experience. He says that are fantastic with great arch support and "balance" and that works for me!

These shoes rock! I've had the Speedcross 3 before, but the rubber compound on soles is new & improved. Way more wear & tear! Highly recommended for hiking!

Excellent fit. Very comfortable. Snug without being tight. I love not having to worry about shoelaces getting loose or in the way. Perfect.
