I bought these boots to replace some Reebok's that wore on deployments as part of a tactical team. I have to admit that they are by far the most comfortable boots I have worn. I ended up taking them elk hunting and routinely wear them around the farm. They have become my go to boots. I plan on buying another pair in the near future, Thank you Salomon!!

I bought this boot about a month ago, so far it has exceeded my expectations. For being a goretex boot it is lighter than any boot I have ever owned. I even own the Salomons Forces 3d mid gtx and I would choose these any day over those. Weight is perfect for this style boot, breathability is excellent, I got them fully submerged no problem there. I wear these daily now and get compliments on them. I have a average size foot not wide or narrow and there is plenty of room for people with wide feet. Also this is important, since this is a gtx boot I get asked a lot how hot they are being in Florida, I wear wool socks and have had no problem with my feet being hot what so ever.

They feel like I am walking on clouds. My feet always hurt unless I have them on

Last year I bought a pair of Salomon boots on a recommendation from a friend. So glad I did. This is my second pair of Salomon boots, not because I needed another pair, I just wanted another pair. Salomon boots are hands down the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. Light, durable and they look good. I will never buy another boot brand.

I have put a couple of light days on the boots and have been happy so far. A more detailed review may follow once some real miles are on them.

It was a little more snug than I hoped but despite the closer fit they are comfortable even on longer hikes and even with thick hiking socks. They are not too heavy and are waterproof. This does mean they get hot, but that's true of any waterproof boot. I like them and would like an ankle version if they made them.

This is the second pair that I have owned and can say without a doubt it has been the best all around mid boot that I have owned for the money. I've worn all 4 seasons and they have kept my feet warm and dry. Good tread and very stable. I am very satisfied with Salomon boots in general. They stand by their warranty!

I love these boots, pulled a hook off the top when unlacing on my 1st pair. That was a bummer.

I am a backpacking guide in northern New Mexico mountains and these boots did as expected. Each boot ripped on the same seam near the toe box. Feet got Blazing hot when in the sun all day due to the goretex. Had excellent traction on all types of surfaces. Protected feet well. Still using these

Not too stiff, a nice lightweight boot with enough support for most things, even elk hunting. My only complaint is that they don't stay dry, even with gaiters on in wet grass. Maybe on a rainy trail, but definitely not in wet grass, the moisture comes in from where the sole meets the shoes, my other salomons do this as well no since they fit so well I see it as a compromise.

Laces don't go high enough which lets TONS of rocks and dirt into the top. I have to constantly pull hitchhikers out of my boots. Also there is a "lump" under some stitching that puts a lot of pressure on my pinky toe causing blisters. I had the quest before and that boot was just awesome. These....not so much

Fit like a good fit once I moved down from my regular 13 to a 12 but after a couple hikes I found that my second and third toes were taking too much abuse so I had to replace them.

I like the boot so far. It has great ankle support and was very comfortable right out of the box. I have had them 4 months and use them regularly hiking in Maine and they seem to be holding up well so far. I have noticed anything above 50 degrees F my feet sweat anything below 15 degrees F (with wool socks) my feet get pretty cold when I'm outside all day. Also the quick lace system takes some getting used to, it has a unidirectional track that does not allow the lace to loosen while inside the cleat, which is great while I am wearing them but when I take them off there is a very specific angle to pull the lace to loosen it. I am used to it now and I like it.

I used the shoes twice, first time was to climb the kilimandjaro, all went well and they meet my expectations. Second time was a peak in Taiwan, after tighting my lace during the ascent, the metal hook just went off (check picture). I pricise that I'm treating my gears with care but the glue (as it is glued!) was not stong at all. This is really disapointing for a pair a shoes of this price range.

Both boots leaked bad after taking just a few steps through a creek. The water was not quite mid way up the boot. Wet feet the rest of the hike. The mesh is wearing through where the boot creases at the front during "toe-off" phase of normal walking gait. This was after 1 year of use. Not what I expect at this price point and when paying for the Goretex name. Boots are very comfortable though and the sole seems to be holding up well.
