Love this jacket! It's a lightweight but warm jacket designed for snow sports. Jacket is true to size (I ordered a medium like all my other winter coats). It's designed to have a more relaxed fit, perfect for accommodating layers but not restricting movement. It looks great on the mountain and it's stylish enough to wear out at night in a ski town. I wouldn't choose this jacket for everyday, non-athletic use. As other reviewers have noted, the features of the jacket don't make as much sense in that context. I wore it snowboarding in NH and it met all of my expectations. First day was cloudy, crazy windy and snowing. The high collar kept snow from going down my neck (yay!) I was comfortable on the lift without getting overheated on runs. Temps were in the low 30's. For colder temps, I'd probably wear more than just the long sleeve t-shirt I had on underneath, but that's normal. Second day was sunny and warm; temps in the 40's. I was so thankful to have the arm vents! Easy to unzip them for going down the mountain and zip back up for the chair lift. The rest of my family was a sweaty mess, but not me. This is a big improvement over my old snowboarding jacket (which I really liked).
