these are the best Brooks sneakers The Black purple color is beautiful I wish they made other colors in a wide width the grey and blue would be nice also Wore these on my trip and walked all over no pain on my bunion or arthritic toes

These shoes have an excellent arch support. Very comfortable except the toe area is a little stiff.

Bought these for my mom for an early Christmas present. She is usually pretty picky but loves these. She said they're super comfortable and offer a lot of support while not being heavy. She uses them everyday for walking around the park and while working out.

I love these shoes! So comfy. I am on my feet all day and have plantar faciatis. Excellent support and great arch support. Highly recommend Brooks!

I am getting back into running after a couple kids. I am normally an asics kind of girl, but these shoes feel amazing. The toe box fits a narrow foot much better. It's also very "cushiony" when I run. Would buy again.

Best running shoes I've bought in a while. Very comfortable right out of the box.

Technically I am smaller than a size 5, so it's almost impossible to find amazing running shoes that fit me without having to put orthotic-type insert. So yes these shoes run smaller, which is fortunate for me. SO I suggest to order a size up if you're not petite like me. I got the Clematis Blue! The colors on this are so vibrant and beautiful! I'm so happy that I got them, that I'm so tempted to buy the same exact shoe since it's so hard for me to find ones that I love.

I bought the Ghost 8 last year and trained and ran a Half marathon. I thought the Ghost 8 seemed to wear out soon after and I was hesitant to order the Ghost 9. I ordered a different pair of Brooks and sent them straight back, ordered the 9's and got them the next morning. Thanks Zappos for having shipping both ways so quickly!! The 9's are so much better than the 8's straight out of the box. The fit is exact and very comfortable. I ran 3 miles the first time I wore them and the comfort was what I needed. I have previously had planters fasciitis and always order neutral running shoes. The fit on these shoes is beyond my expectations. My shoe size is a 7 and I order 7 1/2 running shoes. They don't seem to stretch out and feel to big like the 8's did. I'm very pleased with these shoes!

I loved the Brooks Ghost 7. Never had any issues with that model. Bumped up to the Brooks Ghost 8 GTX and started having muscle strains and shin splints on my runs, without changing my training. I got frustrated after owning the 8's for two months and bumped up again to the Ghost 9 and am back to being a happy camper. My runs are back to being pain free and the shoes look and feel great. If you struggled with the 8 model go for the 9 it's a much better shoe!

Very happy with these! I wore the Ghost 5 for several years until I couldn't find any more to buy anywhere. The Ghost 6,7,8 did not work for me (pinched my pinky toe) but am so happy I decided to try the 9's because they fit perfectly. Plenty of room in the toe box, plenty of cushion all over but not too squishy. Perfect for my regular 3-mile runs, walks, and gym sessions. Too bad the color choices are so strange.

I thought these were super comfy. The toe box isn't too wide which I experienced previously with the Ghosts. The heel goes up a little higher but after a few runs I found they broke in quite nicely. I'll buy another pair before they disappear.

My wife has worn the first pair for a couple of weeks now and liked them so much she asked me to order her a second pair in a different color. She wonders why she ever tried brands other than Brooks. She's not a runner, but a walker, and these shoes provide the comfort and support she wants and needs. While other styles of Brooks shoes seem to have an overall rating higher than this one, she decided to stick with what works for her. She is a happy camper exercising in this shoe!

Great shoes! I've had Brooks before and loved them, and I think these are actually more comfortable than the previous pair I had. They seem more cushioned. I've only been wearing them a few weeks, but so far so good!

All I can say is wow. I worse asics for years because my podiatrist recommended them, never thought they were all that for the price. I changed to sketchers because of the memory foam and yes they are super comfy but zero support and my feet started to bother me since I'm on the a lot for work. My new podiatrist recommended Brooks and I never heard of them. Bought these and wow. Blows asics and memory foam sketchers out of the water as far as comfort and support go. Lots of cushion and support. My feet are very happy and of corse Zappos is the best

Super cool shoes, but I sadly had to return. There is NO achilles heel knotch and therefore caused me great pain. I had the Ghost 8 (with the achilles heel knotch) and they were awesome. Hopefully the next redesign will address this issue. I would not recommend this model.

These are the first pair of Brooks shoes I've owned, but they certainly won't be the last. I have psoriatic arthritis - it's really bad in my feet and Achilles. These shoes are, by far, the most comfortable pair of tennis shoes/running shoes I've ever owned. I really like how light they are, and are great for when my feet are hot because they aren't super thick and are very breathable.

These were comfortable straight from the box! I have been wearing Asics, and they are always narrow on my Wide foot. The Asics help absorb the impact on my hips from walking on the concrete floors of The Home Depot where I work, but these Brooks are comfortable all day and also reduce pain in my legs and hips. I will not go back to Asics, now that I have these Brooks Ghost 9! I rated the Style at 3 stars because they aren't stylish at all, but are so comfortable I forgive them. Looking at the picture on the Zappos page, I feared these shoes would be ugly, but on my feet they simply look like sneakers and are not ugly. I am walking even more in my work, and the Brooks Ghost 9 allow me to do it without pain.

I like this shoe, but I ordered it because I heard that Brooks was a good alternative to Hoka or Altra as a maximalist running shoe. It is more like a normal running shoe with good support, but not very cushy and comfy like a maximalist. I will return, which makes me sad because it's very nice looking compared to the maximalists shoes (Of course, because maximalists are always clunky compared to regular running shoes, but I was hoping I could have it both ways).

These shoes are great! I use them mostly for neighborhood running. I usually get blisters with new running shoes, but no so with these! Very comfortable. Very cool looking (I got the silver/blue/lime). I have been a loyal Adidas runner for 15 years, but I think the Ghost 9 has convinced me to switch permanently.

I've been wearing the CTS and Glycerin for a couple years but decided to try the new Ghost. Very comfortable and runnable. Good arch support for a neutral runner. Lightweight and flexible.

The shoe flexes properly at the ball and not across the arch, where it is nicely firm. I bought these to replace a pair of Nikes that seemed to want to flex more at the arch than at the ball of the foot, and I started to get arch pain regularly even when not wearing the Nikes. Also replacing a pair of Asics gel shoes that had a weird hump in the insole around the back of the heel that caused deep blisters all around my heel. I've had the Brooks Ghost shoes for months now and they're perfect. No arch pain and no heel blisters. Even the laces seem well thought-out and are stretchy and higher-friction so that they don't come untied.

LOVE Brooks. Have gotten the new ghost every year for past five years or so. This pair seemed to run small. Exchanging for one half size up

I love the style and color of shoe, they did not feel as comfortable as my Ghost 6.
