Great boots right out of the box. These are not for wide, wide calves. They fit nicely for someone with 16 inch calves. Any bigger than that and these will be too tight for you. They are beautiful but simple. No hardware to snag on your clothes. Great for snow and rain. Waterproof and good traction. Quality leather, easy to clean, I have medium to wide flat feet but I ordered the regular width, and they fit fine. These boots left enough room to wear thick socks and never squeezed my feet. I wear a 10.5 and the 11 fit great...plenty of room for options and comfort, so I would say they run true to size. They offer the comfort and support you expect from Rockport. Highly recommend.

Beautiful brown leather. Good quality. Never knew there were so many shades of brown until my search for brown boots. Nice logo on outer upper side. I had to go half a size larger to get the wide calf to fit. These are great flat boots.

Really very comfortable right out of the box. True to size and the leather is very good quality. Rockport is new to me. I typically like Born but so far happy with these boots.

Great looking boot! Nice leather, handsome profile, comfortable sole. The shaft, unfortunately for me, is not extra wide. It is like every other boot I have tried on at the store. I have a 16" calf and these are about an inch away from zipping up. so sad.

These boots are great! They compare, in terms of looks, to boots that are double the price. The huge benefit of these boots is that they come in wide calf and wide widths, which none of the designer boots do. They are comparable in looks and in quality to some of the higher priced designer boots. I added my own arch supports and the boots are extremely comfortable for me and my problem feet.

Beautiful boots! I have a wide calf, and also a wide foot, so these were a bit snug. I ordered up a half size and am trying to decide as they just fit. Very nicely made, inside lining comfortable and not too hot.

Super comfortable and good looking! I want to wear them every day! Casual boot, looks great with skinny jeans/leggings/tights. I'm in my 50s and folks in their 20s/30s compliment them. They like the way the leather is done. I wear a 7 1/2 in shoes and an 8 in boots, and the 8 in these fit perfectly with a light wool sock. Can walk all day. No compression around the bunion area. My calves are slim, and these work fine without being snug in the calf. I see they have a wide calf version, too. Hope your feet are as happy in them as mine are!

Beautiful boots! I fit an 8 wide and these fit perfectly with room for socks. These are a regular shaft and they fit well over my calves. I am 135 lbs and 5'3". I have somewhat curvy calves. Very comfortable for wearing all day. The leather is smooth, not the grainy looking leather. I have the brown boots. The only drawback to these is the coloring; up close you can see the variegated shading technique they used to the get the coloring of the boots. They look fantastic from a short distance. I like the plain-ness of these boots with the beautiful rosettes at the top.

These were very pretty boots, much shinier than the Tristina gore wide calf boots and a little more dressy looking. But oddly enough, though the sizing detail says that they have a 16 inch tall shaft, they were a good inch or two shorter than the Gore boot, and gapped a bit at the top, which had the effect of making my calf look shorter and fatter - not quite what I was hoping for! Also, the inside zipper has a little stretch panel which would allow for a some give with a close fit, but when it stretches, it doesn't lie smoothly against the leg anymore. And I don't think it is claimed to be waterproof - I'm quite sure it isn't. It's a lovely boot, though, and was super comfortable right out of the box. I ended up keeping the other design (Gore boot) which IS waterproof and had a taller, slimmer look in the ankle and calf although a little less elegant, perhaps; very happy with my choice and thanks, Zappos, for making it so easy!

Nice styling and decent quality but the ankle fit extremely loose and its usually hard for me to find boots with wide enough ankles. Ankle leather even bunched up some.

I'm so sad this boot is beautiful but does not come close to zipping up. I ordered the wide calf. My calf is 16 and maybe a 1/4. It was not close.

I was very eager to try these boots on. I love the dark cherry brown color and the rosette detail at the top. I was also excited to find a boot without all kinds of straps and buckles; the simplicity of this boot really appealed to me. Alas, I couldn t get them zipped up over my calf. I m about 5 ft 4 in and weigh 150 lbs, and my calves are muscular and have always been curvy. This boot is definitely for the slim leg. I looked at the wide calf version but didn t like the way the maker changed the seams. I could have lived with the elastic patch up the back, but I didn t like the small design changes. As for the leather, it is thick and sturdy. Leather on the foot portion of the boot is smooth, but the leather up the leg portion is granulated. My foot size is 8 wide, and the foot portion of the boots fit pretty well with a medium thick sock; a thick winter sock would not have worked. I d say the foot size and width runs pretty true.

I purchased these boots in wide width and wide calf. Had great cushion in sole; however, they are not truly a wide calf as the lower part of calf does not get wide until at the top area. Had to send them back.

Cute boots, but they were too small in the calf. The circumference measurements were somewhat accurate. Size and width in foot were great.

I've given up on Rockports. They run wide in the heel and narrow at the toe box so there's uncomfortable slippage. I've tried multiple sizes and styles and they just don't fit my foot. Additionally, the footbed of these felt uneven and uncomfortable. I love the idea of a waterproof boot that's stylish and I love that these are fairly wide in the calf circumference. But the other factors are deal breakers. Overall, just not the right boot for me.

Not waterproof! Did a bathtub test--dripped water on the outside of the sealed boot. Water dripped in through the back stretchy cloth AND zipper. Deceptive marketing. How can Rockport waste our time by claiming waterproof? Great sole, comfy like a sneaker.
