I've been skiing 30+ years. I ski in all conditions, like a full day, so appreciate functional, effective, technical gear. Long ago, I switched from leather to waterproof fabric gloves, had the first (then very well-made) model of Seirus gloves which had an inner plastic waterproofing, a removable liner with inner sub-zero fleece microfiber flocking, and double stitching throughout...unlike what is available now from that company today. I was hesitant to buy these leather Hestra gloves, as they don't have a removable fitted liner, or many zippered areas for heat packs in extreme sub-zero cold. But you won't need them! These are very well-made, WARM, and sleek in a classic way, the elastic fitted cuff will fit smoothly under your jacket, easy to remove and put back on. I bought a pair 2 years ago, and appreciate the improvement of a hook attachment. Other gloves on the market offer ability to use a touchscreen without removing them. This would be a terrific improvement, but in any case, they are well-made, of excellent quality, warm, sleek, functional!

The gloves fit well, have good features, should be very durable. I have cold hands, and agree that at or below freezing - wish the fingers were warmer. Hard to find really warm gloves that are dextrous, have good grip, etc.

I don't ski, I just like warm hands in the cold winters. Yes, my hands stayed dry. I use the Hestra balm as directed. My only complaint is, that my fingers still get cold in less than 5 minutes on cold days (low teens). I was disappointed with that only. I love the look and style, even if somewhat bulky.
