I have two pair and wear them all the time. I work from home and these are the best, most comfortable pants I have. They are also flattering. I am pear shaped (145 lbs at 5'4") and they fit perfectly.
I also wear them outside most of the year. In the winter when it is too cold I wear insulated pants over them and they are still so comfortable. They also block the wind with and without an extra layer on!
I love these pants.

Great fit, very versatile. The right combination of material for damp condition. Great for training, casual wear, and I find it very comfortable for travelling as well. However, I like the previous all black version better. This year it is black in front and grey at the back and it looks a bit strange to me. Still haven't got used to it yet although my spouse is perfectly happy with his. I tend to wear my old all black one more often.

Looking for a warm pant to cross country ski. Thought this was it but the rise is just so low I am not comfortable with them for active exercise. They are nice though, so will likely just wear on cold days when doing errands.

GIANT WASTE OF MONEY.
I got these pants for running in the PNW.
They DO NOT stay up. Ever. They just fall off. They fell off 50 lbs ago, when they were pretty tight. They fell off 30 lbs ago when they fit perfectly. They fall off now when they're a little loose (I am post partum). "But there's a drawstring!" You may say. And there sure is! A drawstring with no way of holding itself, so tighten all you like: they'll loosen on their own in seconds, maybe a minute. Great design!
For some reason it's exceedingly difficult to find a pair of running pants that fit a cell phone, or an energy bar- because in this day and age NOBODY wants to run with their phone &/or snack! Why wouldn't you want to buy an entire, separate accessory just to carry a device that 90% of us can't live without?! It is a massive pet peeve of mine. I got these because they boast TWO (!) pockets! Yippee! Both are the size of a gel pack. Also, as you can imagine given my last paragraph, you don't really want to add any weight to the pockets because the pants just fall off faster. So, you know, largely useless for a long run.
I can't speak much for the technical performance of these pants, because, as you can imagine: I don't go out of my way to run in pants that don't stay up.
They are useless. They didn't even stay up for my walk to the beach with a toddler.

I bought these at the start of winter 2019/2020 and have worn them literally every day this season. They have been exactly what I wanted: a lightweight, unlined layer to block wind and add a little water resistance. I wear them over a pair of lined winter running tights and they're just the perfect thing to make snowy/slushy outdoor runs, dog walks, winter hikes and XC skiing more comfortable in the elements this time of year, without me overheating. I live in southeastern Michigan and find them most comfortable in temps between 20 degrees and 40 degrees (over 40 and they're a too hot over lined tights; under 20 and I need lined outer pants if I'm just walking). I love that the bottom zips open to accommodate bigger winter boots. The only thing missing (which is a small thing!) is a loop somewhere for hanging them on a hook. I'm 5'9", 145 lbs with 39.5' hips and bought a size medium so they could fit over tights, which they do, perfectly.

I bought these for the polar bear challenge in Greenland. They were perfect! The blocked the wind, kept my legs warm, but not too warm. They never felt bulky or awkward. They were absolutely perfect. I also love the "backward" pockets. No chance of my lip balm falling out. Thanks for a great product.

I live in the banana belt of south central Alaska, so it's not super cold in the winter, generally between 0 F and 20 F. These pants get me through winter runs happily. They layer over long johns or tights and I can wear a pack cinched over the stretchy waist band without chafing. Stretchy, loose enough for layers, and wind blocking. I've been looking for something like these for years!

Great winter adventure pant! I use these to run, hike and nordic ski in all winter. They aren't super tight which is nice if you want to add a base layer underneath for super sold conditions but they are a pretty warm pant on their own.

I used these throughout the winter months for 1/2 marathon training. Living in OK, where the wind literally comes sweeping down the plains, these were fantastic to layer over a pair of tights to block the cold wind. I never used them alone as I wanted the compression of tights but the wind blocking of the Trino's, but I think they would be very comfortable on their own. I appreciate the small pocket for holding ID cards, Kleenex, or a gel pack. They don't add much weight, and made winter running tolerable (especially when paired with the Gaea jacket).

I have worn these for two very cold Calgarian winters now. I have used these mainly for cross country skiing and walking the dog. It is warm when you need it to be and I never feel like I am overheating in them either. They do a great job blocking out any wind, and they are roomy enough to fit two layers underneath if it's below minus 25. They are very comfortable and stylish, and I have no problem wearing them around town or at a cafe, post xc ski session. The drawstring isn't great, but I added a little plastic toggle so I can cinch and un-cinch it very quickly and easily instead of fumbling with tying a knot etc. Definitely recommend it for any cold weather high output activity.

So glad they went back to one color instead of the black/gray they had previously. This is a great running pants and really an all-around pants. Can wear it every day, especially in cool weather.

Mainly used for winter running.
Good compromize between tights and trousers, kind of!
Size M, I am 174 cm/64 kg, "normal build" for a Scandinavian woman. Legs slightly too short legs for me, the looks would be better with 1-2 cm more. But on the other hand, the length is maybe intended to be like this, I look the same as the model images on this site, close to my shoes.
Been running in Swedish winter and -15 degrees Centigrade, using a thin woolen base layer, perfect. Starting from -5, my butt gets cold and I need the base layer, warmer than that, no extra layer is needed.
Also worked well for winter mountainbiking, using a padded bib inside. Tight fit on lower legs are perfect for biking.
High quality impression, focus on details.

The combination of Windstopper on the front and more breathable jersey on the back takes a little time to "understand"; it's very easy to overheat in it, but when you find the right activity/weather combination they're perfect. They're too hot for running and biking in Vancouver winter weather (might work elsewhere?), but they're good for cold weather hiking and they're great for snowshoeing. Snow doesn't stick to the Windstopper fabric and compared to other "snowshoe pant options" the Trinos are light, allow you to move freely and there's no overheating.
I'm short and mostly wear these with the leg gussets open so the pant goes over my shoes instead of bulking up around my ankles. The open gussets easily fit over hiking boots. The zippered pocket on the back is very useful also.
It would be nice to see these tights offered in a fun/sporty color Like the bright yellow from a previous season. My husband has the Trino Jacket Men's in that color, looks great in the snow!
(I'm 157cm and 53kg XS fits me well / true to size.)

I wear these tights nearly every day in late fall to early spring on the Coast to walk the dog, go on hikes, cold weather runs, and bike commute. I will wear try them cross country skiing too. They cut the wind really well and keep me dry in light rain.
So far they have been very durable and look like new after 2 seasons of heavy use.
I am normally a small/size 4 in Arc'teryx. I got these tights in a small and they are loose around the waist and upper thigh but tight in the calf. They aren't so loose that I have to pull them up though. I can comfortably wear them over another pair of tights which is a bonus.

I bought these pants to layer over tights for really cold days xc skiing. I am not sure I would wear them alone as I prefer a higher waistband for my workout attire.
I am usually a small in Arc'teryx clothing, but size up to medium in the outerwear. I am 5'9" and have a slim build and went with the medium for layering and to get the length right. They fit perfectly over my tights.

This is a great pant for trail running in the shoulder seasons. I was hoping to be able to use this for mountain biking too since the windstopper would be a lot warmer in the cold weather but the seam across the knee is TERRIBLE. If only they could have designed them a bit differently, they would have been amazing. It only affects you when peddling or I guess running with a very high step, so most people won't care about it. Love the fit.

I really wanted to love and keep these tights but I ended up returning them. I bought them for high aerobic snowshoeing/running and the Trino's had all of the feature that I wanted - thermal warmth, sweat wicking, windproofing, and DWR water resistance. The quality, as expected, was stellar and they would have been perfect. The Trinos are not meant to fit like snug tights but are somewhat looser in design which is fine as you can layer beneath if the temperature dips. Unfortunately, the pants were just too long. They fit fine at the waist/hips but were about 3-4 inches too long for me. I am 5'2, 100lbs. Even with the ankle zippers unzipped, there was just too much excess length, and the gusseted knees billowed not at my knees but around my calves. Not a flattering fit which was a shame.

Wanted to love these so much—desperate for a windblocking winter tight here in Chicago. Features and fabric are great but the rise was uncomfortably low—they felt like they’d be falling off as I walked.
