This is something which goes on top of all my reviews, as the "satoro AR bottom for mens" are pure luxury on my skin; outstanding; very warm, fine, you cannot even realised that you wear it, and super versatile, all situations. You can even sleep with them, and you really enjoy the great pleasure they can offer. I would strongly recommend to get one of this as they are just fabulous.

The satoro gear is phenomenal. I have a long commute with two periods of fairly high intensity cycling (35K round trip) sandwiched around a ferry and a bus ride and its been a struggle to find the right gear that doesn't either overheat during the ride or leave me shivering during the downtime. I finally discovered the Satoro gear and used it in all weather all winter last year. I have a few different types of bib tights, always steered away from layering because of concerns about chafing, but pairing these with the Castelli LW gives me the right layering combination for temp modulation, and they fit and move so well that I've had zero issue with chafing even though the bib tights are super tight. I use waterproof winter cycling boots and a WP shell jacket when needed and the merino keeps my legs warm even when the outer tights get wetted out. This combo takes all the guesswork out of the winter months (no more trying to decide which weight bibtights to wear before coffee at 5am when I can barely even remember my own name) which is worth the price all by itself. Love this gear.

I sat here for like 10 minutes trying to think of a con. I couldn't come up with one. Fur and lint loves to stick to these? Don't take that one seriously. These things are wonderfully warm. Don't be perturbed by how thin these feel. I was initially a little worried knowing the lack of durability merino is usually attributed to. These are holding up awesome, unlike my other base layers that have had about half as many days as these. You can hardly tell they're on. It's only when you wonder why you're so toasty and comfortable while others are not, that you remember what you're wearing down there. I've worn these winter mountain car camping in various conditions for two entire seasons. I've used them to tour. I've used them on super frigid resort days, which are admittedly few here in the PNW. It would be a little too warm for most days at the resort. But when I'm not very active sitting around camp is when I can appreciate these the most. I think I've worn these for a week straight once. They really are phenomenal when it comes to odor control. Highly recommended if you spend a lot of time on the mountain, or anywhere there is considerable range in temperature.

These are the best merino long underwear I have ever owned. Unlike other pairs, they stay up, are durable, and are not itchy. This baselayer regulates temperature well. When worn under softshell pants, I find them warmer than a thick pair of tights for winter climbing and not too warm when the sun comes out or for the hike back to camp. They are also non-restrictive which is important for climbing.

Fabric has a great feel, waistband is smooth, adds warmth without bulk, great range of motion/mobility. I'm 5'9" 122 lbs and the small fit perfectly with sufficient length for long legs.

Out of the box these tights seem light and thin, but I have found that they are very warm for their weight. They have great flexibility and freedom-of-motion, staying skin tight (but not restrictive) through all climbing and mountaineering activities. The smooth outer surface allows another pair of long underwear to be pulled on over them when conditions get really rough, and make pulling on/off fleece-lined trousers (I have the Gamma MX) straightforward, even in the cozy confines of a tent. As always, the merino is great for dealing with funk on multi day trips when working hard. A note about sizing. The waist is true to size, but these run long in the leg. Perfect for me at 6ft 4" and 175lb, as I always take a Medium Tall in Arc'teryx trousers anyway. But those who are shorter than average relative to their waist size will find a fair bit of extra leg length in these tights that may not work for them.

Initially thought just another pair of Merino Wool long underwear but I was wrong! This long underwear shirt is awesome. Better than any other brand I have used before. The fit was great. The shirt is pieced together so it fits anatomically instead of hanging like a box. I wore pants (and shirt) for multiple days ice climbing in the Rockies and in the Coast Range and never found odour to become an issue. I slept in the long underwear then climbed all day with them on, then walked around in the hut with them and never saw anyone hold their nose. Warmth was fantastic for the weight of the fabric. I found this shirt slightly warmer than my previous polyester long underwear incarnations. The fabric always proved to dry quickly if I built up a sweat on approaches. It was soft and comfy too - why I never took it off!

These have quickly established themselves as my favourite baselayer option. I love them! They're so light and comfortable that it's easy to forget you're wearing them, and yet they provide a surprising amount of warmth. I've worn these pants for a range of activities now and am very impressed with their versatility. They keep me warm while belaying, spotting or simply stopping to enjoy the view but don't cause me to overheat during periods of high activity, or when the temperature goes up a notch. This is a big plus for me as it means I'm not constantly whipping them on and off to suit changing conditions.

I recently picked up a set of the Satoro's as I usually love Arc'Teryx gear. I was using Smartwool midweight, Icebreaker Midweight, or Patagonia Cap 3 in the past on big mountains and alpine climbs. The Satoro is extremely comfortable and the wool felt like silk next to my skin. They are light and tight fitting. I plan to take them as my main baselayer on a run of trips this coming year. They do feel a tad bit less warm than the other ones I have used, but I think the trade-off is worth it.

I bought these to outfit an early fall trip in the high Rockies followed shortly by a trek through Iceland. During a night of sleet in Idaho's Sawtooth Range, I slipped these on, slept soundly, woke up and kept going. Not until the following night, and after temps had risen to above 50 F that afternoon, did I realize I was still wearing these bottoms. They kept me warm in the AM, then fit and wicked so well while hiking those 12 mi that I forgot they were even there. I can't speak about durability since I've only worn them about 5 times, but like most wool they still avoid the funk. I should probably wash them soon...

Picked these up and the Satoro Zip Neck shirt as part of a much needed skiing/mountaineering base layer upgrade. First impressions were they are super light and minimal. Very soft and well made. When I put them on they fit a little small, but they are base layers not outers so no big deal. I'm 5' 10" 170 lbs and larges were perfect. I took them with me on a hike into the Sawatch Range near Vail, CO recently and used them when some foul weather came in. I added them under my soft shells and continued to hike into snow/sleet at 30 deg temps above 11,000 feet. The base layers immediately added warmth and comfort on the hike. Over the next few hours and thousand feet I noticed no rubbing issues or wetness. The merino weave definitely wicks away moisture and retains heat. I even left them on during my descent and when the sun came out - they still wicked great and I didn't experience any moisture build up. Over all very impressed and worth the price. Looking forward to many hut trips and split-board missions with these base layers.

Love these! I not only use them as a base layer but also to do my home yoga practice in. They are a little bit on the sheer side so I wouldn't recommend them for yoga classes but they are very comfortable. The waist band comes in at the top so they actually stay up all day!

Spoiler alert, not my favorite piece of Arcteryx gear that I own (see my review of the Satoro AR Crew Neck Shirt). Don't get me wrong, this is a very well-made, mid-weight merino wool base layer bottom that I originally purchased for my 2017 Everest Base Camp trek. However, I ended up not using them (also bought the Satoro AR Crew Neck Shirt as well). It's lightweight, packable, and apparently odor resistant (after a week on the road, who can tell?). It's designed to be worn next to your skin for "maximum thermal efficiency and moisture transfer." End sound bite. I found out that for me personally, I don't like wool against my bare skin who knew? It's just too itchy and the thought of it makes me itch and was only made worse when I started to sweat (I took them off and have been wearing the lighter synthetic Phase AR top and bottoms ever since on subsequent high-altitude climbs). Anyway, what's your backup plan? This is why I love Arcteryx because there are always alternatives.

I found these merino long underwear to be the best fit of any long underwear I have ever worn. It fits an athletic build without adding that annoying bulky feeling. They don't have that itchy wool feeling next to skin and they are very warm.

I was very excited about these pants, I was looking for a good quality black base layer. I am used to buy Arcteryx products and never was disappointed. However, this base layer is a joke: 140$ for a see through legging that is so itchy that I do not even wear them. I was hoping to wear them for winter camping but I cannot move or sleep with it since they are very uncomfortable. Overall, I am very sad about the quality and the price of the product as well as the uncomfortable feeling when wearing them.
