This is a superb base layer. I've recently returned from a hiking and fat biking trip in -15 degree Finland and it performed exactly as as described. Keeping me warm, its comfortable to wear, it wicks sweat away, drying quickly and best of all - no smells! - which is amazing. I just want to add that there is minimal itchiness - I wouldn't say none, but its barely noticeable. I will definitely buy this top again.

I heard that Merino wool could drastically reduce those problems, so i first bought the IceBreaker 100% merino to solve this. After this the next problem arrived i.e. durability (a common problem for Merino wool clothing). This is where the Satoro Ar Crew really proves its worth. As a test i've worn this for 7 consecutive days snowboarding everyday and have had zero smell at the end of that week. It's a hefty price for a base layer but if you think about it, the value is there. Normally i would have had to opt out for at least 3-4 shirts in those days of high activity snowboarding.

I originally bought this to wear during landscape photography trips but actually ended up wearing it for bed one night and it has stayed in this role ever since! Warm and comfortable, and probably the best nightshirt I've ever worn! I will probably have to get another to use for the intended purpose!

I use this top for cold weather running. It works great on its own or as part of a layering system. The fit is very good and the length is very good so that it doesn't ride up at the back.

Best baselayer I've had. Warm, can be worn for days without odour. Durable so far (6 months worn every week). Maybe a minor thing, but I have to look closely to see which way round to put it on, because it's hard to tell which is the front and which the back.

I'd been searching for several weeks for a "do it all" base layer. Wanted the warmth of wool with the quick drying of synthetic as well as odor control. I work as an auto repair tech and a weekend warrior adventurer. So I needed something to keep me warm when I'm outdoors and not allow me to overheat while I'm working inside. Also, during the snowy winter months the vehicles I work on are wet and cold and the packed snow under the car leaves a wet cold mess all over the floor and I deal with those same vehicles dripping on me all day. It's a recipe for being wet and miserable during my 10 hour shift. After a few weeks I'm happy to relate that the Satoro AR line (I purchased the pants as well) have performed ABOVE my expectations! I was worried about these base layers (or any base layers) meeting my lofty requirements...but those worries were quickly shattered after the first snow fall of the season. This base layer keeps you warm and dries quickly. And did I mention the lack of odor? After a 10 hour shift I hang them in the evening and put them back on in the morning....no funk! So if you're looking for a base layer that will work as hard as you....THIS IS THE ONE! Congrats Arcteryx you've hit another home run!

This baselayer is always at the top of my drawer, and my first pick for most work ski days (lasting 10+ hrs). I know it wont ride up because its long enough and stays comfortable the whole day! I typically wear Icebreakers merino baselayers and found the Satoro AR to be a way better fit, longer torso and sleeves, and a more slim fit helps to keep in warmth. Seams are incredibly comfortable and lay flat, overall a well designed baselayer. I'd expect nothing less from Arc'teryx! I am 5'7" and 145lbs

I typically wear Icebreakers merino baselayers and found the Satoro AR to be a way better fit, longer torso and sleeves, and a more slim fit helps to keep in warmth. Seams are incredibly comfortable and lay flat, overall a well designed baselayer. I'd expect nothing less from Arc'teryx! I am 5'7" and 145lbs

I bought this for my girlfriend. It keeps her warm during winter training, skiing without adding weight.

Up until recently I always wore "normal" cotton T-shirts as base layer. The Satoro shirt is much better. It feels softer, is much warmer and doesn't get sweaty. It survives the washing machine very well.

My sport is horseback riding - this shirt is the perfect base layer for a cold arena. We always start out bundled up, but shed layers as the work progresses and the horses warm up. I love this t-shirt!

My closet has over a dozen synthetic long sleeve base layers that I use for any and every purpose. Then, I bought a competitors wool base layer. It was nice, but not so nice that I wanted to convert. Then this shirt was highly recommended to me and it's a game changer. First, I live in Minnesota so the ability of a shirt to work in multiple weather conditions is critical. The Satoro performs in ways that has me buying more. From a casual layer under my Delta LT on weeknights-ends, to under a dress shirt at the office, to being used as my running and cycling layer beneath a soft or hard shell. I have worn this shirt every day for twelve days and its kept me comfortable; wicks moisture away; and as it's wool keeps insulating if I find myself stopped on a long run/cycle. It was my run today that triggered the need for my review. Beautiful Minnesota day; running the trails along the Mississippi. With Bald Eagles flying overhead I stopped for a while...then I noticed something. I wasn't cold and I was sweaty and it was 16 degrees F. Wow! You will not achieve that type of performance with a synthetic.

A great base layer! Very soft fabric and super comfortable next-to-skin. I've been wearing the Satoro AR cycling (in the rain), running (in the rain) and it's been really good at keeping the warmth in when wet. The only thing that smells is me!

If you have one arrow in the quiver, this should be the one. Versatile in a variety of different temperatures, also worked very well underneath a Gryson flannel during a 14er climb, and also during a recent trip to Grand Teton National Park for a backpacking trip. What I also like is the feel of this piece. The core spun merino wool still has a soft feel, and the synthetic fiber adds durability.

Don't get me wrong, this is a very well-made, mid-weight merino wool base layer crew neck LS shirt that I originally purchased for my 2017 Everest Base Camp trek. However, I ended up not using them (also bought the Satoro AR bottom as well). Don't get me wrong, it's lightweight, packable, and apparently odor resistant (after a week on the road, who can tell?). It's designed to be worn next to your skin for "maximum thermal efficiency and moisture transfer." End sound bite. I found out that for me personally, I don't like wool against my bare skin who knew? It's just too itchy and the thought of it makes me itch and was only made worse when I started to sweat (I took them off and have been wearing the lighter synthetic Phase AR top and bottoms ever since on subsequent high-altitude climbs). Anyway, that was my backup plan. What's your back up plan?

Les 18,3 microns de laine mrinos tisse atour d'un fil de nylon s'usent rapidement ! Aux zones de frottement il ne reste plus que la trame en nylon et on y voit travers comme s'il y avait des trous... Je suis trs tonn qu'aucun client ne signale ce problme... Prvoir le renouvellement de l'article au minimum tous les 2 ans ! Vu son prix, c'est exclu ! Le confort du mrinos a ses limites tarifaires ! Je porte encore des articles synthtiques achets il y a plus de 5 ans... P.-S. : Pour les boxers c'est pareil et je constate qu'ils ont disparu du catalogue
