Great jacket for around town on many PNW days. The removable hood has a potential to trap some water in the neck if you really get dumped on but it hasn't been an issue yet. A large fits with a little room to spare at 5'11, 175 pounds.

Wore this jacket for 11 straight days walking the streets of London and Paris in dry conditions at 30-44 degrees F. In the coldest temps, all I needed was a sweater over my shirt to ensure comfort. In the warmest temps, 8 left the collar open and was fine. Never wore a scarf or gloves and hands were warm in pockets just fine. The hood when concealed is very bulky.

I bought this jacket back in September and have been enjoying it ever since. the instillation is nice without being overkill making it a perfect transitional jacket during fall and spring. mixing this with another mid layer such as the A2B Vinton or a Covert Cardigan make it viable for causal wear in the winter The only issues i have with the jacket are the following 1) The turtleneck part with the hood in tends to be really tight and higher then with the hoot out. making it next to impossible for me to wear it full zipped up. However this is more likely due to the fact i have a fairly large neck then the jackets fault. but something to consider. 2) The inner wind protector (im assuming that is what it is) tends to ride lower then the jacket causing a black bit to be seen. Overall im in love with the jacket. and cant wait to use it for many years to come. Size, XL 6'3 260lbs

I've owned this jacket for about 8 months. I loved the jacket when I first got it. It fits well, the design is understated but appealing, and the jacket is fairly warm given the weight. Unfortunately, there is one big disappointment regarding this jacket, which is the quality of the DWR. For some reason, DWR treatments don't work well with the fabric in this jacket (or maybe it's just the particular item I have). After just 25 wears and 2 washes, I noticed the DWR performance was severely diminished. I followed Goretex and Arcteryx instructions to wash the jacket and used both wash-in and spray DWR treatments. Even after all of this, the DWR still does not work well. The fabric gets saturated very quickly and becomes uncomfortable and clammy feeling. I had higher expectations of an Arcteryx product and have had other Arcteryx jackets that performed much better. I did contact Arcteryx Customer Service but the response was fairly disappointing - "DWR is not covered under warranty." While this may be indeed be the case, I had MUCH high expectations from a premium-priced Arcteryx product.
