I had to send these back because they were so generously cut, but loved them once I got the fit right. Comfortable, bit heavier weight cotton, durable, perfect length. I bought the gray/blue color which I really like as well. I wore them all summer!

I have bought these shorts in the past, and they are my most comfortable work shorts.
I just recently put the Yukon color ones to rest. They wear like nothing else in my
closet.Full of holes and ready to be done,I had them for 10 years of service.
Just got a pair of coal color, they seem bigger than before. Should have ordered 1 size
smaller.

I'd been looking for a pair of old school canvas hiking shorts for a while, and the fabric and construction of these are exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I don't love is the length - I'd prefer a shorter 2-3" inseam - and I considered cutting them off or having them hemmed, but that would lose the pockets, so I left them as is. And really, the length is pretty functional, it's just a style preference.
They run a little large but shrink some when washed and dried. I typically wear a size 4, but ordered a 2. Initially I thought even the 2 was a little on the frumpy side, but once they shrunk down they actually fit perfectly.

These Carhartt shorts are great. They are made of sturdy cotton which will stand up to trails and yard work, are comfortable for outdoor wear and remarkably stylish in a rugged sort of way.

These are literally the only shorts I've been able to find that are rugged enough for heavy outdoor work, have roomy pockets, and are more about fit and function than style (though I happen to like the style ). I hope Carhartt doesn't stop making them, as they did with their women's double-front pants.

I like the longer length and the heavier fabric. What I didn't like was the loop at the hip. These are more like painter's pants, where there is a loop and slot below it for your "hammer." The loop looked goofy and wasn't needed.

I haven’t worn these at all. I tried them on and they are a bit snug. The are not for women with any “shape” to their hips. They feel like a mans cut.
