The shoe has a narrow toe box for a 4E

Very poor fit for the outrageous price!!!

Overpriced and underwhelming. Within a week the thin outer sole is delaminating. Not what you’d expect from $160 sneakers.

I have been a New Balance show purchaser for years. I was hoping this shoe would be the perfect answer to a long day of standing. I had very high expectations. When I put the shoes one I was instantly underwhelmed They did not feel any better than the last older model shoes I had worn that day. I wore them in the house for the next 3 hours off and on to see I could get to like them. They actually made my feet hurt! I reluctantly had to return them. Very disappointed! Zappos on the other hand was stellar again in their service! I went on the website, did the return thing and got the label. Packaged everything up and taped it up and then took it to UPS Store the next day. The web site said it would take 5 to 7 days to refund. I don't know how but as soon as the guy scanned it in I got approved for the refund! The money was back in my account the next day! I was amazed! Zappos is the best! I am planning on ordering 3 other pairs of shoes from them for work. They have a loyal customer for life!

I've been wearing 990's and 993's for the last 20 years, and I never had a problem with any of them. I ordered two pairs of M99V4's, and returned both them due to stiffness in the medial & lateral plantar area of my feet. The reason I feel is the shoe sole is considerably stiffer that the 990's & 993. This results in a stiff, inferior fit. I will be looking for another brand of shoe. This shoe costs too much money to fit nothing less than perfect, as the previous models did in the past. I strongly recommend trying on this brand and model at a local store before ordering it online to make sure it fits the same as the older New Balance models.

These shoe hurt my feet with or without my orthotics. I was surprised to learn this because my favorite, most comfortable shoes are some older New Balances. But I've worn these twice now to work out and will never wear them again. This is probably not an indictment of NB; I have plantar fasciatus and it's difficult to find shoes that don't hurt. Although the pain was in my right toe joint, not near my heel, so it's probably not plantar related. Oddly, the left shoe is quite comfortable.

This shoe has lasted like iron. The top of the tongue is pretty wide and puffy, and does irritate my foot a little bit at the ankle opening. But overall, a very good shoe for me.

I had the same pair, in a different color - now have three pairs, all if different colors!

this is the most perfect shoe.

I prefer the v4 to the v5. The v5 has a large plastic piece on the outer side. And the inner side of the v5 heal looks like a large bland area. The v4 looks great from every angle.

These shoes fit me very well. I purchased them several years ago and these shoes have not let me down.

Love these shoes. Sorry they no longer make this style.

Great for walking & exercise. Excellent support for my 15EE feet. 260 lbs. New Balance always fit.

The toe rubber needed to be glued after a short while but the shoes are comfortable and wear well otherwise. Mine are black, not sure if picture is accurate.

Felt comfortable right out of the box. I don’t use for running, but I do walk a lot and my feet feel very comfortable.

Good but not perfect ?

the shoe for anyone with foot issues. my husband had these in every color. orthotics fit in perfectly.
