Great shoe for an exrunner that now walks paved roads in the mountains of North Carolina four times a week. This is my third pair and they are the best I have tried over the last several years. This shoe helps with my plantar fasciitis, and they are pretty comfortable. It is now my go-to sneaker.

This is the second pair of these I've bought, both on Zappos. My first ones, after a good year and a half, including a LOT of walking during a European trip are pretty much done. Wearing a 13W, I often don't have a lot of options. The Black/Black ones are pretty stylish, and folks have asked me where I got them. These are worth the price of admission for how comfortable they are, and how long they will last. They also are NOT made with the kind of material that just makes your feet stink... if you've bought cheaper shoes (including other New Balance shoes) you know what I'm talking about.

The quality of this shoe is apparent from the moment you open the box. American made and robust. I wore these during my daily walks for 4 months while my back healed from a training strain. I wouldn’t run in them since they’re pretty heavy, but they still look brand new after that use. They are total dad shoes but timelessly handsome. Now these are my travel shoes for walking through airports and between meetings so I expect they’ll last for many years.

I normally buy size 8s when I cannot get the proper width in dress shoes. Since I was able to order this sneaker in a "B" width, I know to add a 1/2 shoe size larger to compensate for narrower width. The 8 1/2 B sneakers fit perfectly following those same size rules, so I was very pleased. They feel great, nice and light, and my feet and ankles do not get fatigued wearing them so I know they fit properly. Great shoe, just as advertised :-)

I have neuropathy and my feet need both comfort and support and I get both with these shoes. These are practically the only shoes I wear, so, I buy a new pair at least once a year. I first started buying them about 5 years ago and they were half the price that I had to pay for these and Zappo’s had the best price. That is the only disappointment for me.

Best made shoe I have found in 10 years!!

I’ve had these shoes for a little over one week ad am totally satisfied with them. They are light, very comfortable, and fit well. I was able to buy them in a larger width that was really nice since my feet have spread since I’ve gotten older (65). I highly recommend them and have already ordered a second pair in a different color.

I wore New Balance 991s and 992s for years back in the day in the plainer colors they were available in back then. I ordered a pair of these in one of the new blue-and-red color schemes. It seemed like the same old shoe, which was good, but I did not like the colors, and overall this shoe did not seem as good for what I would want as a pair of Brooks Ghost 11s that I tried on at the same time. (And the Brooks Ghost 11s were priced about $40 cheaper.)

This is the most comfortable all-round shoe I've ever had. The military green'brown has a more refined look than most of the other color combinations. I now own the shoe style in three different colors.

These are great shoes. I've owned about 8 pair over the last 6 years. I wear them every day. Along with orthopedic inserts, they are very comfortable. I need the inserts for plantar fasciitis. I get them one size larger than I usually wear.

Great shoe! Worn daily for 14 months and still going strong. Terrific value.

Bought for my dad who wears size 11 triple E width. He is very picky about shoes. He loves these!!!! Bought in black and navy.

I have worn New Balance for more than 40 years. I have a narrow foot, 11B. One of the reason I started with New Balance was the fact that they did offer various sizes & widths instead of 1 size fits all. One of my pet peeves is that a lot of stores carry New Balance but they only carry D widths. To me that defeats the purpose of carrying NB. Zappos's is really the only source I have found that always has something in my size. Concerning the NB990, it is a shoe I have worn in the past. I have bought various NB models & styles over the years but I have to say of all the shoes I have bought, the 990 fits & feels the best. It is expensive, but for me, it really fits the best of all models. No complaints. As far as Zappos's is concerned I can't say enough good things. Free overnight shipping, no hassle returns etc etc etc. the 990 is great, NB is great & Zappos's is just outstanding.

I ordered a 10.5 and it felt a little too snug when I first put them on. I usually wear that size so I kept them and by the end of the day they stretched a little and fit perfect. They are ultra light weight and almost too soft but very comfortable.

These are even more comfortable than I expected. I knew they would be great and they are. I was a little worried they'd be nerdy, but the navy pair I ordered are flipping sweet looking. I seriously can't remember having such a comfortable pair of shoes. Steve was right. Made in USA feels right too. Do yourself a favor, get yours and be cool like me.

I buy these for my son who is a courtesy clerk (bagger/carryout) at a supermarket. He is on his feet all day and he loves these shoes. He has probably had 10 pairs of them over the past several years. He has a wide foot and these in EE fit him well. They are expensive but hold up well.

Love the fact that they hot pink and comfortable....I have big feet so it was awesome to find these shows in mens sizes.

I'm a runner who does between 45 - 60 miles a week. These are extremely supportive and a little heavy. They were a little roomy in the toe box than what I'd prefer, but they definitely provide a good level of support!

Comfort and then some. Have them in blue and wanted the other bluish color but they were out, so I got black.

SO wanted to like these. Liked look, fantastic reviews, made in USA. I thought, despite the high price, that I'd found a new everyday and walking shoe to replace Asics GEL 2000's, which have been my mainstay, but whose colors/styling I'm not thrilled with. These simply felt TOO TIGHT. Tried many times, only working with a sock that's thinner than I usually wear. Thought they might stretch, but decided, at this price, I should be happy from the get-go. Returned them. Then tried same shoe in EE, but they are, you guessed it, too wide. Maybe I'm the rare guy for whom New Balance isn't a fit.

Sorry to say I was disappointed with these! I really wanted to keep them since they are the only the shoes I know of still made in good old USA. For the price $174 they appeared to skimp on materials all the way from "builders grade" shoe laces to the other materials. If they had only fit properly I would have kept them anyway. As we age our feet tend to spread out and sizes change. Even so these seemed to run larger than other brands by at least 1/2 size. As always Zappos service is unmatched any place else know of. Thank you Zappos!
