New Balance is never known for design but comfort.. I have bought 5 shoes based on design for my 18 yr old (adidas/nike/Jordan/armour) all expensive shoes and end up returning all of them due to the fact that it hurts when he plays basketball or running. Then I told my son to try this even do he thinks the design is for old people but for 3 wks now, he said that the shoes very comfortable, it doesn't hurt his fit. Also - it is made in America, even better!

These are my husbands favorite shoes. He’s been through dozens of pairs. Look great with jeans!

I usually take an 111/2 but I get the 12 and it fits great. Love these shoes. 3rd pair.

I’ve worn NB shoes literally for decades. I no long run but because I have a unique foot size and I wear orthodics, I will most likely continue to purchase 990’s because they work exceptionally well for me and they last. The only problem I have with the shoe is the cost. My last pair were under $150 and they are exactly the same edition as the near pair. No new upgrades or styling. This is a NB choice not Zappos’.

I normally have a very hard time buying shoes, but these fit like a dream. I usually wear the New Balance 574s, but the newer version did not fit me as well. Even my older 574s had a "breaking in" period, but these 990V4s immediately fit perfectly. Size and width (EE in this case) were perfect! Highly recommend these shoes.

These shoes are so comfortable and well fitting that I ordered another pair now. I absolutely love them and they are always in style with jeans and walking shorts. It doesn't feel like I am even wearing shoes that is how comfortable they are. I've never been disappointed when I shop with Zappos.

Simply the best all around athleti shoe on the Planet!

I've owned many pairs of M990s and the Covert Green are my favorite so far! They feel great on my feet and I love that they are made in the USA. Well worth the price! I'll probably buy another pair in a different color soon to alternate wearing them on different days. They fit my feet well. Very pleased with my purchase.

I’ve had several pairs of the 990v4, they never disappoint! This pair was a little more green than brown (I personally was hoping it was the other way around) but it’s still a great shoe.

I actually loved this shoe and it was somehow better than the one I bought in black. I guess color does matter? The arch support was great for me as a runner as well as the days I had to go straight from work out to work. I stand all day in my service job so this shoe does twice the job. Will buy again.

I believe these are 1 of if not the most comfortable shoes ever.
