It definitely fits small, but if you are within the size range, it's worth trying. I have very similar measurements to another commenter (170 lb, 34DDD, wear a size 10/12) and I ordered the XL. It fits very closely, which you want for swimming and water sports, but I found that once it stretched over the bust, it skimmed rather than being clingy (no back bulges / tummy rolls). It never rode up and I found it equally flattering wet or dry. I wore it with a sports swim top (like a water sports bra) and either swim leggings or a high waisted bottom for two weeks of scuba diving and was super happy I bought it. It dries quickly and prevents sunburn completely!

Very cute color. I ordered the XL. It was too tight and the material was unflattering. I am 5'6 1/2, 170 lb, 38D bust, 31 waist and 40 hips. I am a size 10 top and 12 bottom.

I needed a rash gaurd for sun protection on the lake. I have never bought one before, so I ordered three different rash gaurds from different companies and I liked this one the best. It was tight, but not as constrictive as the others. The material was softer and more comfortable, as well. It does not seem to ride up in the waist, and the sleeves were plenty long enough. I ordered a small & felt it was true to size, as I am 5 ft 5, 109 lbs and usually wear a small. I am very happy with this purchase!
