This is a fashionable pair of Mephisto’s, that feel as good as they look. I was hesitant because of the price, but after walking for two straight hours wearing for the first time, I can confidently state they well worth the money. I wear a size 9 but a 40 on Mephisto shoes, so in that sense they are true to their sizing. If I could afford it I would buy a second pair in a different color. Love all they way.

Like other reviews mentioned, the big toe touches the edge, but I have a small foot, so it is working for me. Got the sandals in two colors to try and I am keeping both(!).

Love this shoe primarily for comfort....but the color platinum was really more gold so I am returning. The sizing is definitely off. Usually wear a 9.5 Med shoe, bought these in a 10 but felt they were borderline too small. Ordered another color in two different sizes, a 10 and 11 (never have ordered a shoe in that size) to compare. Will update later

I wear the Mephisto Handel from May-October. On the hunt for a wedge in a soft color (have black and red in a Dansko wedge and the same in a Wolky Ka... both of which are great shoes) I found the beautiful Old Rose. Immediately order it. Absolutely love everything about this sandal. Runs a tiny bit smaller than the Handel... which fits me fine, and I feel no arch.... which is normal for me in a wedge. The foot-bed is soft and supportive. Love lock & loop closure, leather is so soft. Color is perfect, a neutral Rose Gold. Keepers... now do I need another color?

It is extremely rare for me to love a pair of shoes/sandals. I've had a Mortonv's neuroma cut out of the left one twice, so I'm super sensitive. Having fibromyalgia (chronic pain) also makes it hard to find shoes that will go the distance while still looking cute. I am PSYCHED about these! The adjustable straps mean that I can get it to fit just right without anything "bugging" me. The sole is supportive, and the platform makes it look like a dressy heel without having the steep incline that hurts my back. Plus they are adorable! I like them so much I'm seriously considering springing for a second pair.

These are. Dry comfortable sandals right out of the box. I love Mephisto shoes in general because of their quality, comfort and style and these don’t disappoint. Having said that, I always wear a size 39 in this brand and that’s what I ordered. Bad idea, they definitely run a full size smaller than any others I’ve purchased. I returned the size 39 (U.S. size 9) for a size 40 (U.S. size 10) and they fit perfectly. I know I will be wearing them all summer with pants, skirts and shorts.

I LOVE these shoes!!! They are incredibly cute and enormously comfortable. They have great fit and support. They're expensive but worth it. Both straps are adjustable with Velcro but you can't tell by looking. They look like regular buckles. The design is really well done. The placement and color of the straps is super flattering on the foot.

I wear a 7 M and have no foot problems. I wanted a heeled black sandal for spring/summer wear in a four-season climate--something stylish that would work with dresses, capris, crops, or shorts, but that was also a comfortable walking sandal. Impossible, right? Well, I had to pay a high price, but this Mephisto sandal ticks all my boxes. I will say that my toes come right to the end of the sandal in front, but do not hang over. I don't feel that I need to go up a half size, as they fit so well and are so comfortable as is. Pricey but worth it to me.

This is a wonderful shoe. When I tried on this brand in a store, the salesperson made sure that secured the ankle strap first, with the heel settled far back into the mold of the shoe. It's rare to find such a well-made patent leather sandal.The straps adjust well and have a firm velcro bond. They are very comfortable and cushioned. I absolutely cannot wait for steady warm weather here in the Western PA region. I'm not a fan of buckles, but the buckles actually look fine.

These are fabulous, I'm so glad I got them! I sized up because of the advice of all the other reviews and they were spot on. Very comfortable and cute great for tooling around on vacation. I love the style they don't look like the "comfort" shoes that they are. Both straps are velcro so you can adjust to any size and they rubbed a bit underneath the front strap but I lined it with moleskin and now they're perfect.

So Comfortable right out of the box. Just a tad small which is unusual for Mephistos. I have 8 pairs of Mephistos and love this one too.

This is a really cute shoe. I am loving velcro these days and the ankle and toe straps are connected with it. I am a size 7 and they fit well. The sole is lightly padded and comfortable. My foot doesn't slide forward. I wanted them in brown, but Zappos is out of stock in my size. I am debating whether to keep them in the patent leather - very cute, but not what I wanted.

I wear a US sz 9 & have a slighty narrow foot. I ordered a Euro sz 40 & the Velcro closures make the fit PERFECT! The footbed is super comfy! Expensive: yes & well worth the cost!!

These shoes fit perfectly. I wear a 9-91/2 and I sized up as recommended and they fit perfectly! I got the gold color which is perfect with a sun dress.

This is a great stylish sandal for people who need more support than in our younger days. If you are a European size 39, or a US 8-8 ½, the size is correct. I am never a size 9, so I think the the sizing of a 39 being a size 9 is incorrect. I hate spending this much money on a sandal, but I think they are wroth the money.

Super comfy right out of the box. Worth the investment. Wore for 10 hours walking and my feet didn't ache like a typical day. I ordered these due to PF and the pain was non-existent. 5 starts, you will not be disappointed. Stylist, comfy, and great support.

Very comfortable. I could walk on them all day long. I saw them on a tour guide and figured that they must be comfortable if she's wearing them to give tours all day. I would buy this brand again.

While I know these sandals are quite the investment, they are well worth it! Extremely comfortable for this retired RN who has never worn heels! And VERY stylish! My 30 yr old daughter says she can't wait till I get tired of them and hand them down to her! I told her she better not hold her breath on that one! Haha! I have worn flat Mephistos before and they were a size 40. But with this sandal, a 41 fit better(thanx Zappos's for your super fast and free shipping and returns!). Awesome sandal!

This is my second pair of the Mephisto Lissandra and I am seriously eyeing a third pair. I have horrible feet. bunions, walking on bone in my forefoot, etc. I have tons of issues trying to buy a stylish, comfortable shoe. These were recommended to me and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Easily adjustable with the velcro straps makes customizing them to my bunions a breeze. I love the platform height. Perfecto! Usually, I wear my sports shoes for walking the city. I went out on a limb and wore these for a day on the town and never missed my sports shoes. Uber comfortable! I did add a "pad" to the forefoot of the shoe as this makes them even more comfortable for me. As I said, I am walking on bone there so extra padding is essential for me. I am pretty sure you won't be dissappointed purchasing this shoe!

I wore these straight out of the box for a trip to a museum. I walked tons and these shoes were comfy the whole time. They are a nice quality with good support. I’m glad I listened to other reviewers and sized up. I am a regular size 8 and ordered a 39 and they are baaaaarely long enough. I could have gone up a half size, but they work just fine. Definitely size up!!

This are insanely comfortable! I got them in the black patent leather and they are adorable. I cannot wear the Helen because they are too flat. These are perfect if you want some heel but also want comfort.
