Was looking for a cap for hiking/running, w/good length bill, dark underside, breathable, w/UPF and which fit tightly on my female head. Not sure why I thought this would work, but from description and photos I bought it (I knew it had no UPF factor). It does have a good length bill w/dark underside. It's very light. Despite mesh panels in back, it's actually pretty hot and not very breathable; my head sweated as much as w/any other hat I've worn, including cotton and technical materials. The front panels of the hat have cushiony foam in it, which feels soft but when you put it on, unless you have a very tall crown, it looks like a trucker's hat. Worse than the look is all the extra space between my scalp and the hat. This resulted in it being loose (it was not an issue of size, but of shape), and it was easily blown off, and easily knocked off by low hanging branches. I have short/medium length hair that is not long enough for a pony tail (which might hold the hat in place better). With my hair, the hat constantly rides up and will not stay in place, no matter how I adjust the back strap. So, I'm just not pleased w/the fit at all - too tall for female heads. The other problem this causes is if you pull down the bill, it collides with sunglasses. Not a serious piece of gear. From now on I'll always buy women's hats, which Arc'teryx doesn't seem to make.

White colour looks like a dirty white..not pure white so I returned it. The fit was bulkier than past models as well. So sad as I loved the previous version of this hat.

I bought two last year. One for me and my hubby. Both fits perfectly. So I decided to buy another two in white and black. However, this time the fit were quite loose even when adjusted. Unsure why it was different this time so I returned it.

Bought this last week, wore out for a quick walk around the neighbourhood. Noticed after about 1km that my head was hot and I pulled it off to notice beads of sweat coming off my head (bald head). Temp was around 18C with a very cool breeze, I wasn't even hot but my head was drenched. After about an hour of walking the cap was just soaked up to the brim. I couldn't wear it without feeling like a wet towel was on my head. I got the XL cause I have so-so big head, the fit is too big I would say by just a bit. I can easily tuck my ears in it, the top part doesn't bottom out on my head. Maybe I'll try it in the fall to keep me warm?

I have a huge head.. I have bought this hat (L/XL) for years and always loved it. An older version fit better but the ones I bought last year were still great. Unfortunately, I just bought a new one and the fit is different and now doesn't fit. The material also doesn't feel as robust or Arc'teryx like as the old hat. Wish they didn't make any changes. Need to find a new go to running/hiking hat for my huge head.
